Alchemists Oud

Alchemists Oud | O Boticário Perfume with dark tobacco characteristics, watery florals, succulent fruity notes, comfortable woods, clean and moist patchouli, and dark yet luminous oud. Opens with a ghostly note of whisky (or liqueur) that is very natural and mouthwatering. The listed florals are noticeable: the rosy fruitiness of rose, the subtle, light, and watery floral note of freesia. In the dry-down, tobacco, plum, and oud appear in total harmony and very naturally; The tobacco has cigar-like characteristics. Woody, moist, rough, and aromatic. Succulent, watery, fruity, and acidic plum. Subtle yet present oud. Luminous, resinous, and dark, with nothing medicinal. Here, the oud brings a mysterious and oriental air, which I believe to be natural and not derived from synthetic accords. The patchouli envelops everything and brings a moist and earthy depth, but also clean and minimal. I don't detect vanilla, despite a slight sweetness that permeates the perfume; I don't consider it a protagonist. One can draw a parallel with Elysée Succès, being at least 40% similar, where Alchemists Oud feels more like a masculine version, without the excess of watery fruity notes and rosy florals of Elysée, and with an accentuated tobacco note. Most prominent notes: Tobacco / Plum / Oud The quality is high, with long-lasting power (9h to 10h) and medium-low projection (2h) with a more intimate diffusion, although it is very present with a good perfumed sensation.
