Coffee

i am getting more and more surprised with the house of boticario. lately, they are making perfumes not "normal likable perfumes" for the big masses, but more in a sense of a true perfumer spirit. a potion that can have a amazing sillage, with something enigmatic to it. this is the kind of stuff i would be calling a modern classic, a spicy modern oriental. this could easily be a oriental woody, but on me it grows more in to a floral oriental with a very unisex note of pure coffe. wich i love. attention, this is not the coffe you can easily get on a coffe shop and ask for a croissant to make the perfect combination for your apetite, but if there were an incense that was dryed down with grains of coffee, you could ge a very close sniff to this one. this is perfect, my only complain is that i wish they would make in a edp edition... personally i can only wear it on coldest days here, it reveles itself so beautifully. again i am surprised and aplause any brazilian that dare to wear this at the hot and tropical climate they have. well, maybe at the night might be colder, right?! p.s. the hubby LOVES IT

I like this fragrance very much. Unfortunately, it doesn't smell of coffee at all on my skin, but the effect is very good nonetheless. It's sweet, but not in a nauseating way (I don't like sweet, girly fragrances), and pretty spicy. You should definitely try it on your own skin for a whole day, though. It tends to smell incredibly differently from skin to skin - on a friend of mine, it was pure coffee; on another, it smelt like some excessively sweet Aquolina fragrance. Also, it lasts a whole day on me, and only a couple of hours on one of my friends.

It's sooo yummy. It reminds me of 212 sexy, but it's softer and more delicate - maybe it ́s similar because of the vanilla. mcelferr said it all. I can smell the jasmine and the touch of toffee caramel. I'll buy it soon. * Update * I take it back! OMG. I've tested it on my skin. The first notes are fine, sweet, inoffensive. After a while I can smell something similar to cappuccino. Nice indeed. The drydown is AWFUL. At least on my skin. It's too cloying, sweet, ugh. Hate it. :(

Maravilhoso para um dia um pouco mais frio--dura bastante na pele e tem um cheiro bem interessante--mistura o café, bem ao longe, com baunilha e especiarias. Só não deve ser legal para usar em um dia muito quente. Tem ótima projeção. Wonderful for a cooler day! Lasts long on the skin and has a very interesting fragrance, mixing coffee (far away) with vanilla and spices. Might not be a good idea for a very warm day, though, as it's quite strong. Great sillage.

Eu gostei, experimentei na loja, mas ainda não comprei. Achei que é parecido com um perfume que eu costumava usar muito e que aparentemente foi descontinuado: RECTOVERSO LOLLIPOP COFFEE, de Ulric de Varens... Pretendo comprar esse de O Boticário num breve futuro, quando então voltarei aqui pra dizer o que achei de forma mais definitiva!! ^_^

No início não gostava dele, ficou guardado por muito tempo, depois voltei a usá-lo. Agora o acho cremoso e até aconchegante. O meu já deve ter passado do prazo de validade, mas ainda continua bom porque estava muito bem guardado. Acho que dá para usar durante o dia se for no outono ou inverno. A noite sempre cai bem.

I love this perfume, but it doesn't last on my skin at all :( Maybe 1h - 2h? I wish it would last longer. Sooo good!

English Review: I can see how other people would like this, but I don't. The duration is pretty good, the sillage is good, but I *really* don't like it. On an initial spray it has an interesting coffe/fruit scent, that soon becomes very delicate and subtle... then, all of a sudden, MASSIVE vanilla. I speak specifically of a very synthetic vanilla essence, and that's the predominant scent for the fragance's duration. There are a few other scents in the background - occasionally some of the coffee, something that might be apple, and a a minthy, almost Vicks VapoRub smell - but the vanilla overpowers them all. The scent isn't *bad*, and it's not too strong or cloying, but it's so reminiscent of baking supplies or scented notebooks you'd get as a child that I can't stand to smell like it. 4hrs in and it begins to mellow, and I get mostly sandalwood with some sweetness, which is nice, but nowhere nice enough to make withstanding the blast of vanilla worth it. No primeiro spray ele tem um aroma interessante de café e frutas, que rapidamente fica delicado e sutil... e então de repente, uma baunilha GIGANTE. Eu falo especificamente de um cheiro artificial de essência de baunilha, e é esse é o cheiro que predomina na duração da fragrância. Têm alguns outros cheiros no fundo - as vezes um pouco de café, algo que pode ser maçã, e um cheiro mentolado, quase Vick Vaporub - mas a baunilha domina todos eles. O cheiro não é ruim, e não é forte ou grudento demais, mas me lembra tanto de coisa pra cozinhar ou cadernos aromatizados que eu tinha quando criança, que eu não aturaria cheirar assim. 4 horas depois e o cheiro suaviza, e eu sinto principalmente sândalo com algumas notas doces, que é agradável, mas não agradável o bastante pra aturar a explosão de baunilha.

The line is very clear around here, there isn't even one scent of local manufacturing that can be really put in the "great" category. The good Quite nice cappuccino there but not overly foody, lasting until mid heart notes. The bad Low versatility but maybe not for national tastes: gourmands are loved here, and most people wear scents for "special occasions" only. Not suited for warm weather. Kinda linear. The ugly Poor quality, it smells clearly of food vanilla flavouring one can buy in grocery stores, therefore quickly cloying. It gave me a light headache despite lasting very short (EDC), which was funny: one hour maybe? I've found a new interest in gourmands with this one but it's a bit too pedestrian. Lovely smell but I can't really recommend this for anyone with a serious interest in perfumery.

I love the concept of this scent, and all the notes look perfect for my preferences, except the fragrance on my skin smells synthetic and dusty. Unfortunate!

Es un perfume bastante apreciable por su balance precio-calidad. Huele delicioso. Un café aromático, avainillado (pero no con leche ni crema), fresco y algo astringente... con gratas notas florales. Lo encuentro también algo amaderado. Un toque de musk en su justa medida, que bien podría resultar atractivo para el uso unisex. El sándalo, ámbar y la manzana le aportan personalidad a un aroma estimulante. Me hace sentir muy cómoda y por éstos días me gusta mucho utilizarlo en las mañanas, al ir a trabajar. La fijación es regular, aproximadamente de unas 4 horas... pero siempre queda un resquicio en la piel de éste cálido café :) A mi me resulta agradable, aún luego de esas 4 horas, pero para quienes prefieran que perduren un poco más las notas de salida, basta con una re-aplicación..... a quien no le baste un café al día, que tome dos o más :D

It is a fairly noticeable perfume by its price-quality balance. It smells delicious. An aromatic coffee, vanilla (but not with milk or cream), fresh and slightly astringent... with pleasant softly floral notes. I find it also something woody. A touch of musk in good proportion, which could well be attractive to the unisex use. Sandalwood, amber and apple notes bring personality to this stimulating aroma. Makes me feel very comfortable, and these days I like to use it at mornings to go to work. Fixing it's regular, approximately 4 hours... but still I can sense on my skin this warm coffee :) Pleasant, even after those 4 hours. But for those who prefer longevity of the first spray notes, just need a re-aplicacion... If not enough for you a coffee by day, well then, takes two or more :D

Lembro que era uma BOMBA! Meu cheirinho de cappuccino amadeirado. Eu amava! Era meu perfume de eventos noturnos e tempo frio. Usei uns 10 anos atrás, naquela época I liked muito mais de gourmands do que hoje, porém esse nunca me enjoou, já que sabia onde e como usar. Me sentia adulta. Não sinto nada além de um café com leite cremoso, um cappuccino abaunilhado, quente, amadeirado, muito sensual. Esse gourmand não é visto de forma infantil como a maioria. O Boticário está brincando com o cliente, aumentando os valores e decreasing a fixação. Virou xuxu e NUNCA pagaria o valor cheio atual para receber o que ele está entregando. Estou procurando a detachments, pois sinto necessidade dele em climas amenos.

I bought this fragrance last july. I was on vacation, just looking around at O Boticario. When I saw the beautiful golden square bottle named CoffeeWoman,I couldn't resist. Coffee? What' s it all about? I really had a surprise when the saleslady sprayed it on my wrist.I was expecting the smell of roasted coffee, but It's not that. I felt myself under a coffee tree. If you have had the opportunity to smell coffee flowers and coffee seeds while they are still red like cherries you'll know what I mean. It's deliciously sweet like crushed red apple peel and soft jasmine. It dries down very warm, with a touch of toffee caramel. Perfect for colder days. It's a pity they don't have EDP.

I was so excited when I heard about a fragrance with coffee! I pictured a creamy vanilla base with the fantastic Brazilian coffee note. How wrong I was!! Yes, vanilla is there, and so is the coffee, but the final result is awful!! Not a comfort fragrance like Lostmarch’s Lann-Ael, or something slightly exotic, like Memo’s Siwa. To my nose, it smells exactly like if someone had dropped coffee on Britney Spears Fantasy. Overpowering, cheap smelling and headache inducing. Staying power is excellent though. I scrubbed it off hard, took a shower, and still can smell it. I’m more than disappointed, O Boticario!

Ao contrário da maioria, não acho que seja uma fragrância para o inverno. Isso contudo não quer dizer que ele seja apropriado para o calor, apesar de sentir um certo frescor proporcionado pelas notas de saída. Gosto de usá-lo no fim da tarde ou numa manhã um pouco mais fresca. Dia desses, tentei usá-lo durante uma tarde de ventania, bastante chuvosa, e eis que o cheiro simplesmente desapareceu. Na minha pele, fixa bem, apesar da projeção ser suave. Após umas duas horas, sinto um cheiro de café com leite e baunilha. Uma delicinha!

I get different smells from this. Check it out: Bottle- DELICIOUS sweet and warm spicy scent. I smells like creamy latte Paper- Weard. That's it. Something very watery, but, at the same time, very creamy. My friend- Very green and fresh, but with a hint of vanilla.

I am desperate to try this fragrance but it is not being sold in the U.S. or Colombia - I reside in both places. If anyone wants to sell or trade theirs please write me. I have more perfume than indicated on this site, they're just not in the database.

I really like this one. I smell more vanilla than coffee but I find it very warm and cozy. It's the perfect fragrance to wear on a cold, casual night. And it's not spicy at all.

I like the perfume in general, I smell some orangy fragrance on the begging and it sets sweet later. But I think it might giving me allergies, so I'm really sad about it :/

Maybe Trussardi Inside is a better choice . It smells of Coffee and in a good way.
