Floratta My Blue

For a long time, my review was the only one on here, so I wanted to give an update. This is lovely for warm weather! The humidity gives the aquatic notes a very mild salty tinge on opening, but the fruit gives it a lovely beachy softness. The melon & fruits aren’t over bearing, very gentle but colorful. There are some nostalgic 90s vibes, but they’ve been given a very modern update. I would say this is a beautifully balanced feminine fruity powdery scent without being too much one or the other. The powdery notes are harmonious with the fruit and it definitely has unique but “safe” vibes. It is unique for my collection, but compared to a lot of Ropion’s other compositions, this is rather gentle but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I’m impressed with how he was able to create something affordable but distinctive. You certainly couldn’t call this ordinary. But excellent? I doubt I’d repurchase.

Okay, first impressions, YES. 1)Ropion 2)Brazilian brand (first time) 3)The 90s fruit notes 4)Gorgeous Bottle The sweet floral is unmistakably Ropion but the musk, has definitely been inspired by Kurkdjian! Ropion didn't copy calm down. You can't ignore Ropion's influence on FK's work. The "watery notes" in the opening are the same ambroxian notes FK uses in Kenzo World & Ellie Saab. But, Ropion uses them in his own way to create this fruity salt water opening uniquely his. Salty musk, soft melony fruits expertly blended with elegant florals to make something distinctive and unique yet familiar & approachable. The performance feels apt for a Brazilian market. Think Roberto Cavalli. Still it has this classy elegance to the bottle too.

Perfume distinto, inigualável & noturno, em resumo. Forte, de alta projeção e com as notas de amadeirado e aquático mais presentes. Me remete ao downy azul escuro. 10/10

Ele abre com frutas vermelhas e logo passa pra melão/melancia (não curti muito, ainda bem que sai rápido) e vai fechando floral, atalcado, aquático e amadeirado, delicioso demais! Bem diferente dos outros Floratas que já experimentei, de acordo com as notas que são consideradas femininas ou masculinas, esse querido aqui é um mix de ambos, acho legal essa brincadeira, é um perfume quase "masculino" se formos levar em consideração ao tipo de fragrância considerada masculina da contemporaneidade. Ganhei de presente mas não comprarei novamente pois não é vegano, é apenas crueltyfree.

Mais um com DNA do La vie est belle da Lancôme, adquiri em 2022 e de la pra cá ele ficou mais doce no frasco. Quando comprei, ele era mais aquático e amadeirado. Não lembra em nada o seu irmão mais velho e tb não achei nele o dna dos florattas. Na minha pele ele dura muito pouco. Tenho que estar sempre replicando.

It opens with a very strong woody note, very similar to perfumes considered masculine (although perfumes don't have gender). Then comes the iris, giving a slight powdery sensation. I love woody, powdery, and masculine fragrances! However, unfortunately, there is a note that appears a lot and bothers me! I think it's the calone, which brings this feeling of watery notes. Those watery notes spoiled the scent for me 🌊😑 Luckily, over time, those watery notes become less evident, making the scent more pleasant to my nose. The dry-down is similar to La Vie Est Belle. Unisex, for mild/cold climates, moderate longevity and projection.

I read the notes and the name Ropion and said, oh yes! let's buy it! $48 dolars and a few days later, I received it and can write a small review. This has a very noticeable melon note in the opening, some other fruits in the mix. The iris note is slightly sharp. The drydown is full of woody notes with a clean patchouli, and a big dose of the ever ubiquitous ambroxan. It is pleasant, but for some reason it seems very familiar...I think it reminds me a lot of Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense for a while, and at some point it reminded me of a diluted Valentino Donna. I do not recommend to blind buy this scent. It is ok but nothing special. The bottle is very pretty and possibly the best aspect of the product.

What a beautiful fragrance. It's a soft and comforting powdery-musk scent, grounded by a subtle sweetness from sandalwood and fruits. The patchouli is so well balanced! Few perfumes have patchouli without being a chypre, and this time O Boticário had the honor to produce a perfume with the great master Dominique Ropion <3
