Linda

Linda (Pretty, in Portuguese) was launched in the early 2000s, in 2003 to be precise. The perfumer responsible for the fragrance was Jacques Cavallier, who has already created incredible fragrances for brands such as Calvin Klein, Bvlgari, Boucheron, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, and YSL, among others. And this is further proof that O Boticário works with the same professionals and raw materials as the great international successes. My bottle is the one in the photo, which is one of the repackagings done in the pillar. I have also mentioned that not all repackaging implies reformulation, but I will not discuss this here, because I do not remember the original version and I have seen people commenting that it did not change at all and other consumers saying that it changed a lot. Each one has their own perception of the fragrance on the skin, right? Linda’s fragrance has notes of bergamot, grapefruit, violet leaves, and bamboo in the top notes. In the body, it brings notes of gardenia, jasmine, freesia, red fruit accord, anise liqueur, and pink pepper. At the base of the olfactory pyramid are notes of sandalwood, cedar, tonka bean, benzoin, amber, and musk. On my skin, the opening is juicy, but not excessively citrusy. It has a lot of violet leaf – which is a note that brings an aspect of neutrality – and acidic facets, with a blackcurrant tone. When I think about the sales made in stores, this is the type of perfume that I would buy in seconds, because of the initial hook. In a few minutes, a floral bouquet begins to exude and the gardenia brings a unique floral sophistication. It is true that it has jasmine, freesia, and even anise, but the gardenia has a unique olfactory signature, capable of transforming any fragrance into an event of elegance and richness. Those who know it will understand my point here. The dry down brings more ambery nuances and a lot of sensuality. However, the musk exudes cleanliness and a strong soapy tone, embracing everything like a beautiful, exquisite soap. Linda's fragrance is classified as floral-fruity-ambery, but in terms of behavior, on my skin it was floral-musk. I love how the fragrance exudes, I think the performance is very good, and I label it as a timeless fragrance. I understand that it is not the type of perfume for teenagers, but it is the type that leaves more olfactory memories of important people than of specific moments. If you like florals with a soapy scent, a feeling of cleanliness, freshness, and elegance, Linda will please you (or at least one of its many flankers).

First of all, the word "Linda" translate as "beautiful" (for females). I have worn this scent for years and years when I was a teenager, even though it's not a teenager scent. It was my first grown up fragrance, and I loved it! I stopped using after me and my boyfriend broke up and now i just CANT wear it because of the memories of that time, just doenst feel good. but Oh i wish i was wearing another perfume at that time because it breaks my heart not being able to wear this anymore. Linda is a sensual and "feel good" fragrance. It instantly makes you feel like a princess in a beautiful garden. The sun is shining, and the smell of the flowers just take over the air, everything about this is so honest and pure. I would say this is more floral than fruity, even though there is pink pepper and red berries "hidden" in this fragrance. It's a sweet floral, but it's not synthetic or stick, or anything like that. The gardenia and the jasmine are the 2 proeminent notes in my opinion.The saying power and the sillage are AMAZING!!!! People turn heads, and often people would ask me what I was wearing, I even had some friends who bought this because of me. And they have the oil of this fragrance too which is even better. I wish I could find something simillar to this because is so beautiful (as the name says) but I cant. And I have tried a lot of fragrances out there, even a lot of niche fragrances, but I've never found something like this. I really hope you can find there where you live, but I think is only available here in Brazil and Portugal?! I'm not sure. Linda you always have a place in my heart, I will never forget the good moments we had together.

Sabonete branquinho bem cremosinho que acaba rápido pois se desmancha todo, sabe? rs, no caso o sabonete acaba mas o perfume fica, um primor! Que fragrância DELICIOSA, essa pimenta com flores cremosas embaladas num almíscar divino, não achei doce, achei cremosa, quase lactonica, é como se fosse um leite de rosas versão magnólia, uma fragrância de evolução íntima, projeta pouco, se não fosse constantemente descontinuada certamente viraria frasco, mas INFELIZMENTE descontinuar perfume para gerar aquela ansiedade de retorno (e se vai voltar pior) é a dinâmica desta casa.

This perfume was launched in the 2000s and it's been my mom's signature ever since. It's a very accessible perfume nowadays (it's been more expensive back at the time), and it's still beautifully scented. I feel like even tho it's a light daily scent, it still mixes up with your skin and has a great fixation, it almost gets as the smell of your own skin, and there wasn't a single time I wore this someone didn't compliment it. The projection is also amazing. I think it's one of the best things Boticário has ever produced.

Lovely. Just lovely. It’s not a dupe for Bvlgari Pour Femme, but it has a good similarity. It’s like BPF but without the violet. So just add some violet and you have BPF! Projection is nice. Longevity moderate but not bad. Lovely for spring and summer. A floral that is not elderly! This is a keeper!
