I can't understand the bad reviews. At first spray, I immediately felt its sweetness brought by vanilla and milk mousse, mixed with some flowers. There is no strawberry listed but I can feel this smell as well. Maybe the mix of everything resembles strawberries. Very similar to Burberry Her and identical to Go Fruity by Zara. The woodiness is there, but very subtle. For me, it's not a nauseating sweet fragrance. It's very delicate, girly and pleasant. Love at first spray!

Liz was launched in 2020, bringing a new pillar to O Boticário's women's perfumery. According to the company, it took more than three thousand submissions and more than 20 fragrance versions before the product was ready for sale. The fragrance features the innovative base of Laire Iris Nobre – a secret formula that combines French Iris Absolute with Madagascar Vetiver. The top notes include bergamot, saffron, and orange; the heart contains orange blossom, Bulgarian rose, and the base of Laire Iris Nobre, mentioned above, while the base contains notes of vanilla, sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, tonka bean, and Mousse de Saxe de Laire. Before commenting on the fragrance, it is worth explaining what this Mousse de Saxe de Laire is. The “Mousse de Saxe” accord is composed of geranium, licorice, leather, and Vanillin (synthesized vanilla). It has been used since the turn of the 20th century and is produced by the De Laire company, having been created by Marie Thérèse de Laire. Its aromatic profile presents sweet, woody-powdery facets, with green, fresh touches and a base of animalic musk, very common in the mossy chypres of yesteryear. It is easy to notice this type of accord in Cabochard (Grès) and Habanita (Molinard). The fragrance touches the skin in a deliciously fruity way, with a high content of raspberries, although this ingredient is not officially listed. Not satisfied, I did a little more research and discovered that it contains alpha-isomethyl ionone, an ingredient with a woody-floral profile, navigating between lilies and violets, which is also used in fragrances with red fruit accords. Mystery solved! You can notice the vibrant orange blossom and the presence of vanilla is evident shortly after the fragrance was applied to the skin. I could go on and on about the nuances that emanate during its evolution. But, to put it simply, Liz feels like a meringue of sour raspberries with hints of citrus and a milk base to cut the sugar. It is incredibly tasty without being cloying! On my skin, it projects a lot and lasts a long time. As always happens with any Brazilian perfume, people keep looking for an inspiring muse for the fragrance. And they still get it wrong! They think of the priest instead of the Pope. Here, there are many comparisons with Burberry Her, when the inspiration comes from Baccarat Rouge 540, both by Francis Kurkdjian (obviously, right?). And yet, it is a more feminine version, focused on Brazilian women and our climate. The Liz bottle is inspired by the pearl and its shell, symbolizing women and their growth, becoming more beautiful and confident. This packaging reflects the sophistication and elegance of the fragrance. For me, Liz is ideal for women looking for a fragrance with a youthful personality, power, and a touch of versatility.
