Quasar Classic

Delicious, but it could be better!

Spring blind buy, been in the US for quite some time now, and this being a Brazilian fragrance - my wife decided to gift me with it. Not being much of a fan of aquatic fragrances, I like this one moderately, but even when compared to other aquatics I have to say this performs and smells inferior (in both quality and the scent itself). Giving this a 5/10 in smell and a 3/10 in performance. Given that it is still spring here, I have experienced it in hotter days with lots of activity. END OF YEAR: half the bottle was gone after summer and my wife just loves this, so it dure went up on my scale for versatility and attention - I received the most random comments/compliments from people I didn't even know before -> consider I typically wear 15-20 sprays of this. Better than average smell and okay performance - great pool fragrance (strangely haha).

Foi o pontapé inicial na perfumaria pra mim, lembro que meu irmão tinha o primeiro de todos, o tradicional, e fiquei doido atrás de um, tinha apenas 15 anos, não era fácil pra comprar, então pedi de natal, usava com o maior zelo, até então eu estava no meu 3° frasco dele, mas depois da reformulação e do frasco novo, a qualidade caiu, virou uma água de chuchu, perfomance pífia e cheiro que virou comum, hoje uso ele pra atividades esportivas: futebol, caminhada, pedalada, etc... É um cheiro de homem que surfa, gosta de trilha, tem um Golden Retriever, é boa pinta mas mora sozinho de aluguel. Aroma: 8/10 Perfomance: 6/10

Do you want to know how O Boticário Quasar is? Think about Davidoff's Cool Water. Very, very similar. I dare say that I prefer Quasar just because I think it is lighter than Cool Water, which means (for me), a little less enphatic on the synthetic side. Unfortunately, it doesn't last.

this is a classic scent of perfumes for men and boys here in Brazil, is very good, and adequate all times. it is indispensable. already had one and advise for those who have doubts about choosing perfumes. :)

In my opinion this scent (like the vast majority of Boticario) is a copy of Cool Water, but does not have the same projection and the same setting of the CW, but is very well done.

A good, but commom perfume. I am not sure, but everybody says it is a copy of Cool Water, from Davidoff. I would rate it as 3/5.

My first "signature scent". And I believe, the first of many Brazilian boys, in the 90's. A good fragrance.

Summer in a bottle. Great memories from this scent.

É um perfume bem vintagezão e aromático. O cheiro me remete a barbearia. Ele não diz muito sobre quem ta usando, achei meio sem personalidade. Mas é tranquilo para usar no dia a dia, trabalho, escola, academia. Fixação e projeção estão na média, nada demais.

It smells heavily of just a man, who has little to no personality. You could do better than this...

Tried a sample and I must say that as much as I remember from astronomy at college - Quasar is something unreachable (to us, Earth residents). Quasar is extremely heavy, unpredictable, mysterious, powerful, bright galaxy... Gosh, I could count for hours, nevertheless, the fragrance does not possess any of these characteristics. Quasar according to O Boticario is shy, calm, soothing, weak and unremarkable. Very disappointing, since the fragrance name suggests fireworks. Oh, well...

Well, I'm Brazilian and must say this is quite common here, to be the first cologne of a guy, and was my first. Good, not a real EDT but serves well in Brazilian northeast temperatures. Here it is a teenager hot spot. Unfortunately not for adults, lacks on silage and projection, just being a good cologne.

Very refreshing and invigorating fragrance. It is a vibrant and slightly fruity scent wich shares remarkable similarities with Davidoff's Cool Water in its structure. Not an one-of-a-kind, but still very pleasant and straight simple fragrance that ladies like a lot.

my boyfriend wears it and i like the scent, i think its because it reminds me of him and i like perfumes with floral notes. the fixation on him is very good. it lasts the whole day/night and you can smell it from a distance.

It smells, well, nice. It's supposed to be Cool Water's poor cousin, which is (I was told) already Green Irish Tweed's kinda poor cousin. I can't recall its development well enough to make a full review.

Cool water is much better than this. Quasar is a loud synthetic lemon scent, with excess of cheap alcohols (i.e. etilic). Sometimes is resembles more a body odor (sweat) than anything else.

A cheap copy of Cool Water, which still does not cease to be a good perfume.
