Quasar Surf

Refrescante e aquático = Confortável

Cheiro muito gostoso mas com o tempo se torna um pouco enjoativo ao meu olfato, porém utilizei ele muito, então deve ser por isso. Mas é muito gostoso e rende bastante elogios para um perfume "fresco".

Quasar Surf opens aquatic and fresh, and right from the start you can sense some sweetness in the fragrance. Like other Quasar fragrances such as Ice, this one is a shower-gel scent — fresh out of the shower. After a few minutes it becomes just a bit sweeter while still keeping its aquatic character. I don’t pick up much of the listed top notes like pineapple and orange. Even though there’s some sweetness, it clearly seems more as an aquatic, shower-gel style fragrance than a sweet-fruity one. I have to admit that the Quasar flankers Ice, Surf, and Rush all go in the same direction and aren’t easy to tell apart. That’s not a criticism, though — the whole Quasar concept is basically a fresh, out-of-the-shower shower-gel vibe. You just need to know that before buying it. For everyday wear, the office, or the gym, it’s an ok choice. But like other Quasar flankers, it’s not suitable for every occasion or every season/time of day: this is strictly for summer (maybe spring), daytime only — and best for the office, daily wear, but preferably gym.

Wearing Quasar Surf today for the first time. The opening is very citrus forward with not hint of pineapple, or sweetness that I can detect. Bitter and dry with an astringent chemical harshness. Two hours in there remains a very tart, acidic note that literally makes my nose tingle as if on the verge of a sneeze. Cardamom, black pepper, and geranium seem to be the dominant notes here. 6 hours into the day and Quasar Surf has dried down to a salty, faint musky scent with a barely discernable hint of spice and still there remains a persistent bitter twang. This was a blind buy that I was sure I would enjoy based on the listed notes. Sadly, try as I might, I just can't enjoy this very much at all. Thankfully it was on sale directly from O Boticário at $27 US for a 100 ml bottle. I do not like to be negative but I can not even remotely recommend this fragrance to anyone. Update: I gifted this to a friend who absolutely loves it! He was so excited and couldn’t believe that it didn’t work for me. So glad I found someone who truly appreciates this fragrance.
