Zaad Venture

#1343 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is a repeat of my review of "Zaad Expedition" as "Zaad Venture" itslef is a repeat of Zaad Expedition. O Boticario's "Zaad" line is like Jacques Bogart's "Silver Scent" series or Paco Rabanne's "Invictus" series. Or everything Nautica, Tommy Bahama, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole. If you own one, you pretty much own them all. The differentiation between any series of freshies like these, often "kitchen sink" scents where they've added everything but the kitchen sink to the scent, is never pronounced. The character of one is really not particularly distinct from the next. I would be amazed if anyone other than perfumers who worked on them could tell "Zaad Expedition" from "Zaad Venture" (which I also have but will just repost the same viewpoint on that scent's page) That said: They're very nice freshies. No they don't smell like insect spray like one guy is saying. They're fine. All of them. If you need a scent for warm weather you could certainly do way worse than the Zaads which all smell nice, perform at an acceptable level, are priced fairly and will offend no one. I bought the entire line for evaluation purposes, but by number three I kinda knew what I was in for. I'm still hoping for them to bring back "Santal" which I will purchase and evaluate if they do. But my recommendation is get "Zaad Mondo" and you're done.

Another boring creation from O Boticário. Woody fragrance with a hint of fresh, aromatics and spices. Very masculine, works for summer nights and very comfortable also as signature. Always with the same DNA of all other fragrances of the brand. Very linear and fade out of my skin around 5-6 hours (it's is sold as EDP) and very poor village. If it had a better longevity maybe I will rank it better, it smells good, classy and modern. Only worth this one if it has a very cheap price.

As with other O Boticario scents this one is also a fantastic value. IMO more for Spring and Fall slightly cooler weather. Right now in the Spanish summer heat I get the Vetiver, Citruses and Peppers mostly. I have a feeling this will act differently when the temperature drops. I let it sit until then. O Boticario Portugal has been a true champ as far as the ordering experience, and I am going back a few years already with them. Another amazing fragrance, bravo.
