Santo Wood

First off, this is a light incense woods with hints of spiced incense. I personally think it has this addictive quality to if you like a woodsy scent that is clearly defined. The anise is present here so make sure you like it. Can't wear this as much as I like because I have a spouse who is not to keen on anise but I sneak it in where and when I can. While palo santo is in here..not a star player just lends a little incense to the cedar straw appeal. And with that said, going to sneak it on after my bath one evening this week. 4.1 nice, mid longevity and sillage. Not beast mode. Just a gentle woods with hints of spice and incense. Get some

This a very, VERY woody scent to my nose with a hint of musk for softness. In the opening, I did get a bit of pickle effect from the sandalwood, but it thankfully disappears. The sandalwood is more of the dry type than the creamy kind. Papyrus is 70% what I get. Papyrus can be a challenging note. The other 30% is the woody notes like sandalwood. The perfume reminds me of a barn. Not in the animal "barnyard" oud type of way. It reminds me of that woody smell, trampled dirt, leather saddle in a stable. 0 sweetness. I can picture a cool outdoorsy or country girl wearing this. It's true unisex. The performance is pretty good. It's mostly linear but has depth.

Palo santo, black tea... I had high hopes, but they were quickly dashed. The sandalwood here has a dill-like quality, and when combined with the medicinal palo santo, smoky birch, and mushroom-umami papyrus, they give off a savory wood-fired pizza with oregano vibe. Hoping the dry down will be redeeming. An hour later, it’s mostly very dry wood. The dill has receded, but it has been replaced with a slightly animalic note. So now it’s a barn that that is also a sawmill.

Of all the fragrances I have smelled, this was a whisper. After washing my hands, it was gone. It smells like bergamot and Santo and tea, very earthy. I guess it was okay. I didn't like it. Unisex and short.

Palosanto not grounded here, leaves a very strong dry barnyard hay accord that is dominating and punchy. One dimensional scent. Strong dislike and disappointment for me.
