It for sure doesn’t smell exactly like Vanille Antique, which has a very dry almost acetone like vanilla that projects hard, whereas this is a very syrupy and sweet vanilla that sits back in the mix while the accenting notes do more of the work. It’s just not as good of a quality vanilla, that’s all. Overall it is a nice blend and the Plum they used works. I think people are saying this skews more masculine because it is missing that delicate dry white wood note, with a more resin-y balsamic wood note instead. This along with some gourmand-leaning spice notes (possibly standalone or due to the amber used here) gives some bite and texture that makes it seem more like the cheap Kamrah Qahwa by Lataffa and less like the expensive Byredo perfume. A lot of women around me are seeming to gravitate towards this. I’m not sure if it’s because they would want to wear it on themselves or if they’re attracted to it on me.

This is a sweet vanilla plum with musky woody notes. I’m a big fan. I’m surprised it’s been voted as leaning masculine, as I think it’s relatively feminine, but it’s subjective! This is warm, fruity and woody. It isn’t the loudest but it’s lovely to wear. I look forward to wearing this more in the colder months.

This smells exactly like Vanilla Antique! Super happy I took a chance on it. Longevity is longer than the OG too. Oakcha really nailed this, but it’s been on sale for a while so I hope they don’t discontinue this!!
