Kalon

i'm a big fan of juniper and spicy woody fragrances, so it would have been hard for this to be a scent i didn't enjoy. the opening is a clean fresh musk, like fresh laundry drying on a line outside on a spring day. it dries down into a spicy warm woody scent that still has a hint of freshness as the juniper berry note lingers. i've never tried mfk gentle fluidity gold, but from the notes alone it looks like that is much more of a vanilla fragrance than this is. if you're expecting something sweet and vanilla-forward, this is definitely not it. the vanilla stays far in the background and only exists to warm up the fragrance. however, on it's own this is a really pleasant and easy to wear unisex fragrance.

Don't get me wrong, this is a good smelling scent, but if you're a more masculine person it's not for you. It's a unisex with a light lean toward female. To me, I can't smell all the notes listed, I only really smell a sweet, chocolate Carmel scent, which I love but it's not really a summer fragrance.

Call me crazy but I actually prefer this to the original. The juniper is stronger, and I actually enjoy that. The original is much softer, and in a world where there are a lot of soft-ish vanilla fragrances... I enjoy the spiciness of Kalon in the fall and winter. It’s a bit clunky, but I like it.

I’ve never smelled the inspired version. I like the scent, but I feel like I’ve smelled this dna before. I get very light vanilla, sweet with little almond nuttiness to it. I don’t get any woody notes. It’s also a very light fragrance, I had to overspray & for me that saying a lot.

One of the better offerings from Oakcha That I've tried! Well blended and unique without being uncomfortable. Has a bohemian vibe to my nose....woody yet sweet...luminous.

This was my first and only Oakcha purchase to date. I smelled GFG at the department store and immediately fell in love. I decided to get this and Fragrance World's Barakkat Gentle Gold to wear and see if it would be worth spending my coin on the real thing. Kalon is heavier on the juniper berries than either the OG or the FW clone, and smells the most different. Still a pleasant scent, except the longevity and projection were abysmal- despite all the times the website mentions 'long-lasting' and that it is supposed to be an Extrait de Parfum. Gone from my skin in 20 minutes. How is the FW like half the price for a 100 ml bottle than this was for a 50 ml yet performs so much better?

Sweet, rich, non-edible jammy rose. Literally how is there no rose here? Must be the blending of the Juniper berries. Like others have complained, it seems to fade quickly. I layer this with rose and honey based Lancôme Hypnôse Senses to take it further and make it stick around. Not fully sold on oakcha products, extrait de parfum should perform incredibly but most Oakcha products I've tried have been underwhelming. The pressurized atomizers apply nice and evenly in a heavenly cascade, its a shame they seem to leak and purge like CRAZY!

This was hard for me because I really wanted to like this because I like so many MFK scents. However I never smelled the original and was solely going off of the notes. So yes it was blind buy. I didn’t DISLIKE it, but as I find with most unisex products, they really do lean more masculine or feminine. For me this leaned much more masculine. Now would I like it on a man? Definitely. But I don’t think it would smell that good on a woman.

I like the smell on the atomizer, and at a distance, but on my skin the scent gets really powdery and a bit almond-y in a way that I don't car for. It's not *bad* but it's probably not going to stay in my collection much longer.

it leaned too powdery for me and not in a good way. I found a cheaper and better-made version of this fragrance called "unique" by linea de bella, from their nostalgia line.

I like it. Doesn't last long on skin or clothes. I have to respray ALOT.

very beast mode fragrance.however not what i expected.i expected a sweet vanilla.i received and didnt smell ANY vanilla like at all.mom describes it as floral
