Lemon Cake

So delicious! When I sprayed it on paper, it reminded me a lot of D&G Devotion, but I can definitely notice a difference on my skin. Lemon Cake is a bit more tart—it has lemon rather than candied lemon. But that's not to say it isn't sweet. The shortbread cookie accord smooths out the citrus so perfectly and the vanilla and meringue add a light creaminess. Sadly, it has very minimal sillage and only lasts about 2 hours on me. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ BBW Iced Lemon Pound Cake: much more cakey but smells very artificial ❌ Mugler Alien Goddess: a lightly floral tropical scent

I absolutely love this! Truly smells like lemon cake 🧁 it’s a sweet lemon scent, doesn’t smell too fresh or like cleaning spray. Airy lemon scent that isn’t too overbearing. Amazing atomiser and lasts a good amount of time. One of the best lemon gourmands I have 😍

Very fresh and citrusy. Not cloyingly sweet, not super strong and off putting. Very nice.

Very much like a lemon pound cake but flavored synthetically with a bit of playdough in the background. I like it, but there are other lemon gourmands on the market that perform better and smell less synthetic. I think it works well layered with vanilla or woody fragrances.

opened as horrible synthetic lemon cleaner, but after like 5 minutes i got the orange with a bit of coconut. ended up getting orange blossom/vanilla after a little while, soft and sweet. it’s OK. i wouldn’t wear it personally just because it’s not my style.

Very synthetic lemon scent on the first few sprays. Even after the dry down, all I could think of was Lysol wipes. I wanted to like this one because I love citrus when it’s done right. This just didn’t mix well with my skin.

It smells like a lemon biscuit but I had to use like 5 sprays to even start to smell it. Another lovely one from Oakcha, but not one I would get again just because of how many sprays it took to notice it.

So disappointing. I, like a lot of people, bought this searching for a replacement for the delight, now discontinued “Hello Sugar”. It opens with a strong artificial lemon, which dissipates almost immediately. Thereafter you are left with a smell that reminds of the smell of a new doll’s skin. It’s like a little girl’s cologne with a chemical powder/vanilla-esque vibe. Not for me, since the lemon is like a momentary thing...almost like a bait and switch. Then it’s “That New Doll Smell”.

Disgusting bug spray. Not sweet, not gourmand, just pure cheap chemical chaos. This one went right back into the box for return. I bought 4 fragrances from Oakcha on tiktok and 3 out of 4 including this one were completely unwearable. Seriously, I’ve seen better fragrances at Dollar Tree. Pass.

To my nose, this comes across as a sharper, more pronounced lemon take on Beaufort’s Lignum Vitae, but without fully stepping into refined perfumery territory. While Lignum Vitae carries a saline, marine‐tinged depth that rounds out its gourmand profile, Lemon Cake leans in a different direction. It presents more like a lemon meringue accord but with an underlying egg‐white, slightly sulphurous facet that becomes quite prominent. Lignum Vitae feels like the more balanced and sophisticated gourmand composition overall.
