Mango Mousse

The opening of this is very fruity floral. The fruity notes fade pretty quickly, they were gone in about 30 min. I was left with this really pretty powdery lightly floral sweet amber scent. I felt like I could get some of the peach. The tonka and amber really shine in the dry down. It stayed a touch powdery. There was some element, maybe the milk that I really love how it blended with the tonka and the amber. I wish fruit notes lasted longer, but I loved all the stages of this perfumes evolution.

Yes to this, although the name is misleading. I don’t think there’s much mousse-y about it. It’s a very tangy and tart mango. The fruit here is ripe (unlike the green, unripe mango you’d get in Summer Hammer, God of Fire, Tropical Vibe) and I understand why someone further down has mentioned rhubarb. It’s powerful and it’s cheerful - I’d probably buy a full bottle of this.

Tropical mango scent but not overly sweet. Fresh and inviting, not headache inducing for me. I love this so much.

got this in the gourmand sample set, and off the top the floral is a lot stronger than I'd expect from a gourmand. it's definitely sweet, but the floral is a little overpowering of any fruit notes, I don't know if I would recognize this as being mango without context. the floral settles down after a bit, letting the sweetness come out more with a little bit of creaminess, but I still notice the floral and berries more than a mango dessert. definitely not unpleasant, but not the mango whipped cream scent I was expecting from the name and marketing!

Sweet and delicious, but I have the same problem that I had with Lemon Cake in that you really have to layer this one to get a lasting scent. I get a blast of red berries and florals on the first spray and then sweet, ripe mango and vanilla cream as it settles down. I like it but don't like that I feel like I have to bathe myself in it to get it to show up in a lasting way.

Honestly, I think the folks at Oakcha throw a dart at a board to determine what the name of the next fragrance will be, then make something up in the lab and say, "close enough," instead of naming it based on what it smells like. 😜 Right off the bat, I will say there is nothing to dislike about this fragrance. But it's also nothing special and nothing that screams mango or mousse. The top notes are definitely fruity. It drove me crazy for about 30 minutes trying to figure out the familiar, tart fruit note I was getting. My brain wanted it to be mango, but it just wasn't there. Then it hit me--rhubarb! Weird, right? But that is the note. It's the fruity, yet green, mouth puckering scent of rhubarb. It's not unpleasant, but was unexpected. The fruitiness goes away completely in the dry-down, and you are left with an ambery, ever-so-slightly vanilla-esque (like cake) spicy scent. Again, it is pleasant enough, and I don't mind it, but for the person who loves mango and desserts and is hoping for that profile, he/she will be disappointed. I hate to use the term generic, but I think it sums up the final scent pretty well. The staying power is pretty satisfactory. I sprayed it on at 9 am this morning, and can still smell it on my clothes and skin at 8 pm when I'm writing this. The silage leaves a bit to be desired as it is close to the skin, but not everyone wants to announce their presence with their fragrance. This was a sample size from the Gourmand Collection Set. It's not special enough for me to buy a whole bottle, but I will use up what I have left.

I bought this not knowing it was (supposedly) meant to be a dupe of Mango Skin but honestly as a stand alone scent it isn't really that great. There's nothing gourmand about it, at least not in the sense that it will remind you of a mango mousse. It's just a sharp almost bordering unripe mango mixed with something floral at the opening which I didn't expect nor like. There's nothing creamy about it either even in the dry down. Shipping was also expensive and took a while to arrive. Over all a disappointing, expensive experience and I don't think I'll be purchasing any Oakchas ever again.

Got this in their discovery set and right off the bat I smelled Listerine and got nervous. Drydown is better but I certainly don't like it. The scents smell like they are competing with each other.

Extremely disappointed. The smell is sharp, sour and musky, extremely unpleasant. The opening notes are slightly softer and sweeter, but still overall unpleasant, barely like a mango. If I think hard enough maybe I could smell a bit of unriped mango. Definitely not like mango mousse.

If youre between this and the Mango Hour from Oakcha and are looking for the creamy mango type feel, go with Mango Hour. This is a very bright, fruity (mainly citrus and berry) slightly floral scent. I get 0 dessert or creaminess off of this at all. If I was blind smelling this, I would never guess mango or mousse from this frag lol.

This should be renamed "Cozy Mango" because that is definitely the vibe you get. It's not a bright, juvenile, juicy-fruit scent. It's mango dipped in cream and then wrapped around you like a soft summer blanket. Absolutely addictive.
