Midnight Nymph

I've smelled YSL Black Opium on a person I was helping at my job before I decided to buy this, so I had a point of reference. I think it's a great dupe, very close to 1:1 (not on a tester strip though, on actual people). My fiance wears this all the time, they love how vanilla forward it is. They loved it so much that I took them to go smell the OG at a department store. They ended up telling me they greatly preferred the Oakcha version in terms of projection and longevity, and they thought (which I agree with) that the Oakcha version has a bit more oomph to it. NGL, this one is a compliment getter for me. Had a guest ask me how to get into perfume after smelling this on me, and even my coworker who hates fragrances said "what you're wearing isn't that bad, I kinda like it"

The opening notes are fresh and invigorating, combining pear, pink pepper, and orange blossom in a harmonious blend. This leads to the heart notes of coffee and bitter almond, which take center stage. The sweetness in the fragrance comes from jasmine and orange blossom. Finally, the base notes of vanilla woods create a lasting aura, providing an alluring and mysterious appeal without breaking the bank.

This is actually sweeter than Black Opium. I love it and prefer it to the original. I find the bitter licorice note is smoother and the coffee note isn’t as alcoholic. It also lingers because my boyfriend said he missed me because this scent was left in his car.

This is a coffee/vanilla scent done right! Much, much better than libra elixir! It doesn't leave that "sweaty man" dry down scent thankfully! This is sweet and sexy. Perfect for fall and spooky season!

This is more floral than I thought it would be but I still like it. I layered this with Coffee Blend by MAISON ASRAR and it's perfect!

Yummy! This one is nice. Too young to get a good idea of how it's supposed to smell but... Will update in a few months after some time to macerate. It's more savory than Black Opium but in the ballpark. Pleasant, well balanced scent. 6/10 For now

Initially quite white floral heavy, but the pear, coffee, and almond starts coming through more after about 10 minutes. The florals still remain quite distinct which I don’t love, but they do fade to the background. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 7 hours on me. ✔️❌ YSL Black Opium + Green: similar at first, but the white florals in Midnight Nymph smooth out much faster ❌✔️ YSL Black Opium Over Red: a deep vanilla with hints of cherry, not similar to the drydown of Midnight Nymph, but very similar once the white florals fade ❌ D&G The Only One: sweeter and quite floral ❌ Oakcha Femme Fatale: very white floral heavy but basically has no vanilla or other gourmand notes ❌ Oakcha Heaven’s Speak: spicy and boozey

This smells even better than the OG Black Opium as it's softer and sweeter, but it disappears on my skin and clothing sooooo fast. :( The performance is more like a body spray vs. an extrait de parfum.
