Orchid Water

This is another example of an “inspired by” fragrance being as enjoyable or even more enjoyable to wear than the fragrance that served as the inspiration, while being of equal or better quality. That seems to be Oakcha’s specialty. I like wearing this better than I like wearing Black Orchid. I smell more of the truffle, black currant, jasmine, and incense, which I love, and to me it’s easier to wear than Black Orchid. There’s something about Black Orchid that always kept me from buying it. Oakcha made this bottle worthy. Elegant enough for evening and approachable enough for daytime.

I haven’t smelled the Tom Ford perfume, but this is absolutely beautiful! A lovely dark floral that gives me the evening gothic vibe that I have been looking for. I have been disappointed in the past by Oakcha, but this is a winner that I will continue to purchase. Great value!

I like it, and I don't like it. As others have said, Orchid Water is a dark floral, very dramatic and sensual. I love that about it in the opening and on the way to the dry down. Once it gets to the dry down, however, it goes rather masculine on my skin. I also smell black licorice or anise, which is a note I do not like at all. I bought Orchid Water because I was thoroughly enchanted by a sample of TF Black Orchid. I don't remember noticing a black licorice scent in her, so I need to hunt that sample down to see if I didn't notice it or forgot it. I think I'll put this girl away for a while, see how she smells after she matures a bit.

I get a sort of bitter and herbal sort of opening where the truffle smells rooty and savory. I wonder if it’s the orchid that is giving some kind of spicy, watery quality to the fragrance. The name feels accurate to the scent. It’s just not my kind of water or spice or anything. If I actually smelled this on someone, I would not like the scent, and as I’m smelling this on the scent strip, I know I do not like this. I’m just trying to articulate why but there is a kind of muddled-ness to it that is just too much and not my vibe at all.

This is a very dark scent. It’s bitter in the beginning. But then it dries down to a very dark floral. It’s beautiful. A very dark romance scent, like a goth romance. I’m in love! With two sprays for me fills the room, 2 hours after I sprayed it on my skin, it filled the living room at a friends Christmas exchange. Im in love with this dark romance scent.
