Rooibos Reserve

Just think of the most luxurious lotion you would get during a massage of a pedicure, manicure or full body massage. Or even what you would smell in a hotel lobby but in the best way. It’s sweet but not in a gross way. Clean, sweet tea, creamy, fresh day spa. I’m obsessed. I think it’s versatile. Day, night, winter, spring, summer. Def a safe blind buy. I can’t even pinpoint the notes unless I look at what’s listed. It’s well blended. Just gorgeous. The tea note in this is magnificent.

This fragrance is not offensive by any means but I'm really not getting much rooibos from it, and this is coming from a regular rooibos tea drinker. Instead it is very citrus forward, which I think would be great for summer, but I'm not really getting much else. Just a sort of herbal citrus, like a lemongrass tea. I also don't get much sweetness from it, making it smell quite unisex. I'm honestly a little disappointed given that I love rooibos tea, but I think the fragrance will at least layer nicely with some of my others. Update: ok this layers really beautifully with Italian Cello (Oakcha's version of Lira by Xerjoff). I likely wouldn't wear Rooibos Reserve on its own since I prefer sweeter scents, but it's excellent with a bit of sweeter layering
