Secret Duchess

Amazing dupe for Princess by Kilian. I will say the ginger is a little strong on the opening, but when it warms up on your skin, the marshmallow and the green tea note really start coming out. The balance between all the notes is just beautiful. I do wish the green tea note was stronger, but that's okay. It has amazing longevity and a moderate to strong projection. I do wish it didn't sit so close to the skin, but you can always spray a bunch for it to project better. I personally love sleeping in this scent, it's just so comforting. It is a unisex scent, but I'd say because of its softness, it leans a teensy bit more feminine... but it would smell lovely on men as well. Super satisfied and worth the price.

Definitely a good dupe for Princess if you like the opening of Princess. The green notes are stronger and the marshmallow is not prominent. I would also say that the ginger note is stronger and there is almost a lavender note in this similar to the gingery-lavender smell you get in Burberry Goddess. It smells similar to Goddess with a ton of green notes. The vanilla is still there which makes the fragrance well-rounded but its definitely in the background.

The dry down smells identical to Kilian Princess but the initial spray of Secret Duchess has a very strong ginger and green tea opening. Kilian has much more of a softer marshmallow opening. The ginger in SD fades eventually and you're left with this delicious marshmallow-y tea fragrance that's very pretty and girly. Lasts a moderate amount of time on my skin before turning into a skin scent but it lasts on clothes for a very very long time

Killian Princess intrigues me but never has enough for me to justify the price. So I got this. First ever oakcha order. I would say most people are correct that the longevity isn’t there but it’s a sturdy bottle so I’ve just been popping it in my bag and reapplying. Definitely heavy on the ginger but softens in the dry down and is unlike anything in my collection!! 4/5

The drydown is exactly the same as Kilians. Lasts way longer. Its subtle but I can smell this on my skin 12 hours later! I'd say this is a good option since it's much cheaper and I don't feel guilty spraying lots. Its so soft and beautiful, Princess is one of my favourite perfumes ever so this makes me very happy to have a cheaper dupe that smells exactly the same!

This is spot on to my sample of Princess. Just a few spritzes and I’m living in a fluffy ginger marshmallow cloud. It’s such a happy fragrance, I’m absolutely in love. It is teetering on too sweet for me, and I sometimes wish I did get more of the earthy tea or citrus notes.

Smells almost exactly like Princess, lasts longer. Only difference is there is more ginger in the opening, but there is more marshmallow in the drydown. 10/10 go with this one.

I got this blind since I have been craving some marshmallow notes. I wanted something sweet and powdery that wouldn’t be too heavy for summer. This fragrance fits the bill perfectly. When I first got it I didn’t care much for it, as the first sprays smelled like man aftershave with powdery vanilla. Then I left it to “macerate” for another week and magically the initial sharpness went away and I get dusty vanilla and lemon pie. It does have a little synthetic smell to it but for the price and the longevity I think its a good deal if thats the scent profile you re looking for. Projection is not very strong but I heard that is the same thing for the killian fragrance this was inspired after. Overall its a 7/10 for me.

Very light and green with distinct ginger and jasmine, faint peach and apple, and sadly not as much marshmallow as I’d hoped. It’s still sweet, but the sweetness comes more from the apple than the faint marshmallow. The ginger fades significantly after about 10 minutes and the fruitiness becomes much more pronounced. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 6 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ By Kilian Princess: has much more distinct tea and less fruitiness ❌ Skylar Boardwalk Delight: a bright cotton candy scent

So I felt like coming back for an update on my thoughts. I have that for a couple months now and I’ve used it a couple times then let it sit for another month untouched. It has finally macerated enough and when I sprayed that again it was like WOW! The fragrance is so much more rounded in the edges and creamy. The delicate smell of the tea is like DIVINE with that marshmallow. It smells like the sweetest matcha tea! Projection is pretty good and longevity its like 6h which is not bad. It will also stick to your clothes.

Definitely a stronger ginger note than the OG, making this a LITTLE bit fresher and less marshmallow-y (although this is still plenty sweet). The ginger mellows out once the top notes wear down. In my opinion it's about 90% close. Not a whole lot of projection. I'll probably layer with Princess.

I loved Kilian's Princess, but its performance was abysmal. I wore it only as a nighttime scent. I thought perhaps this dupe house would give me better performance, but the scent isn't similar enough for me. It's maybe 70%? It's fine, but I regret the purchase.

Definitely more gingery in the opening and throughout than Princess (reformulated version, have not tried the original), but as it settles, that recognizable and downright addictive Princess DNA really starts to blossom. Overall, I thiiiiink I actually might like Secret Duchess more.. it’s like 95% similar, lasts longer, and is a fraction of the price. Princess does feel a bit more refined and better blended in the opening, but honestly, if Secret Duchess had the opening of Princess layered on top of its own gingery-citrusy kick, it would be my dream come true. My only complaint? I wish it leaned just a bit closer to Princess in the opening, but at the same time, that extra gingery-citrusy twist throughout is exactly what makes me prefer it overall. Other than that, they’re basically the same. Save your money and go with this!

I think this fragrance is beautiful. That being said I get zero ginger all I get is green tea note which I don’t mind I was just hoping for a spicier profile although this fragrance is light good for anytime of the year although probably best in summer and spring.

I’m gonna pass on this one. Similar to the original, but much harsher and not blended as well. OG is smoother and sweeter, much more marshmallow and matcha. This one has a weird chemical scent.

Nothing. I smell nothing :( I’ve never been nose blind to a perfume ever in my life.. What the?!?

I am one of those people that absolutely LOVES Princess. This one is close and would be good for people that like princess, but don’t necessarily want to spend a ton of money for it. For me personally because princess is one of the perfumes I would consider top 10 in my collection. This is not good enough for me. I would say this is about 90% similar. The opening is completely different to me. The dry down gets a lot closer, but it’s still not what I need.

when i first sprayed this, i didn’t really smell the similarity to princess at all.. but after it dries down it smells soo close to it. its not exactly the same but even just having the same notes it’s a beautiful smell and i love it just as much. it also projects so much better than princess and lasts longer which is what i wanted. honestly if i had to pick between princess and this i would chose this

This smells exact to my nose, side to side. I bought this because I only buy cruelty free products and the original does not last at all. This one lasts so long yet it does not smell heavy at all. It goes well with a lot of my other fragrances, too. Do not regret this purchase at all. I love it

Go for Finery No Prince Required, the closest Princess dupe out there, and most like the og version in the ugly bottle before the reformation/bottle change. This one is like an "inspiration" of Princess, imo don't waste your time

I absolutely love this fragrance. I have no idea if it smells like Killians Princess or not but it’s beautiful either way. It’s soft & inviting. I get a lot of the marshmallow.

Two years after purchasing, it smells like Flowerbomb rather than Princess!

This is ok, maybe it needs to macerate I feel the Julianna one is better
