Sweet Addict

This perfume is incredible. Oakcha is incredible. This was the first fragrance I bought from them and I have to say, WOW. Their forumulations are high quality. The lasting power is real. I thought the raves about them were hype via influencers influencing, but it's not. The quality is amazing. They save money via simple packaging which I really like. This perfume in particular is spot on as a dupe, if that matters to you. It also smells like ORIANA by Parfums de Marly, but it's just a gorgeous scent on its own and it just sprays so well and lingers nicely. I think initially, it has a woody opening that goes away after a minute or two. The amount of oil is appreciated! Thank you Oakcha. You are so wonderful for making great perfumes that are VEGAN (yes that matters to some of us) and the prices are amazing during a time when people are living on tight budgets.

I just received a bottle of this today. I am not a huge fan of the opening notes, but as it settles on my skin, I like it a lot more. The sweetness of the marshmallow mixed with the Sensual musky Face notes really smell nice on my skin however, there is no longevity. I do not smell this on my arm for longer than an hour and there is no projection is just on my skin. I’m gonna try it on my daughter and see if it’s any different on her. I just wish that it would project a little bit better and I wish that it lasted longer. Other than that it smells a lot like the original I want to say, almost Identical and I really like it a lot.

This is my favourite Love Don’t be Shy dupe (for now). The sweetness from the marshmallow is very similar to LDBS, but I get very strong florals in the drydown of LDBS that I don’t get in Sweet Addict. That being said, I do get a greenish note that I can only assume is the neroli in Sweet Addict that isn’t as noticeable to me in LDBS, but it’s quite faint and it thankfully fades in 15-30 minutes. I don’t get any pink pepper, bergamot, rose, musk, or civet here. Has minimal sillage and lasts all day.

Not sure why this one gets hate, it’s absolutely beautiful! On the first spray, you do get the pink pepper right away but it goes away almost instantly. On the dry down, it turns into this yummy marshmallow that LDBS is famous for. I agree it’s not an exact dupe, but for the price it cannot be beat if you’re looking for a similar scent profile. Also I don’t get any of the animalistic notes that people are talking about. I highly recommend this perfume if you love gourmand.

Twin sister of LDBS and an amazing long lasting affordable dupe. However you need to let this one dry down, as the initial spray took me back a little bit, it was very peppery and heavy on the florals, it was quite sharp, however the dry down is absolutely incredible. DELICIOUS! It’s the pink powdery fluffy squishy marshmallows that I love from the LDBS perfume. If you can get past the initial spray it’s worth it in my opinion (I have the black bottle)

This is a beautiful dupe for Love Don't Be Shy! I can't bring myself to pay the big bucks to buy Kilian so this satisfies the need for LDBS for me perfectly! It's not as strong/in your face as Kilian but I'm perfectly okay with that.

Spray this on one wrist, went to Sephora and sprayed LDBS on the other wrist. Couldn't tell a difference, and it lasted all day! Initial spray does smell off though...gotta give it a minute for the beauty to come through!

This fragrance without doubt is one of my favs. To my nose absolutely smells like Love Don't Be Shy By Killian!! Sweet Addict by Oakcha is a great alternative. Wish it came in a bigger a botte.

I smell rice crispies treats coated with fruity pebbles, sonic keep going back to eat daily.

It's nice. I've never smelled original. So I can't say if it's a good dupe or not.

this perfume is INCREDIBLE once dried down! opening is pure incense, its not gag worthy, but its the lady working at the crystal shop incense. It’s pretty but not very desirable. rose and pink pepper is most noticeable here. a few seconds later (20-30) the bergamot comes through and rose becomes stronger, slightly masking the incense. the heart notes are spot on, marshmallow being strongest. THOUGH, this marshmallow isn’t a sweet girly marshmallow! its dry down is strong marshmallow, vanilla pinched in there, white musk blending it together. this perfume is sexy, mature and definitely a dinner time date perfume yet could pass as a great office perfume, makes you feel very confident. tldr: opening isn’t for the weak, if you can get over that, YOU. WILL. LOVE. IT.

I bought this because I loved the 2 ml decanter I had of LDBS. I was a bit apprehensive after reading the comments in here and did half way expect a chemical mess that hardly smelled like the OG, but I was pleasantly surprised. It does have a harsh opening that has a synthetic, soapy odour to it, but after a few minutes on the skin that wears of and I'm left with the things I love about LDBS. It doesn't last as long though, but that's ok, it's cheap enough that I can just buy more, hehe. I also love layering this with D&G Devotion! It's a very interesting and addicting sweet combo that my husband and I both love on me.

The Jasmine in this punches you in the face... and I usually am not a fan of Jasmine. Something about it smells, well... for lack of better word... like poop to my nose, lol. Literal poop, so I avoid it at all cost. The dry down is better; very floral, powdery, creamy. If it didn't have the Jasmine, I would buy again. Praise The Perfume is very similar, except without the Jasmine. I love PTP! I usually layer PTP with this one, or with Maison Alhambra's Reyna, which has the sweet, powdery citrus that I love.

opening notes are harsh but dries down to a warm subtle sweetness after - was not expecting the heavy powdery scent. A great and pretty affordable introduction for those looking to get into more niche scent profiles like myself :) love getting whiffs of it on myself during the day and nice choice for uni (in moderation lol)

Way more pink peppery than the original. Before I got dossier and LDBS I would spray this on my clothes and wait for that note to go away.. then it was fine! It is definitely not the best dupe.

I am kind of disapointed to be honest. I remember loving Love Don't Be Shy in stores. And while the dry down is a little closer I feel like I'm missing some significant notes here. It reads really really Jasmine forward and I don't truly enjoy that. The marshmallow notes subtle where as in the original I find that it is very sweet and vanillic. This feels to me like floral jasmine and orange blossom perfume that is poorly balanced with a little hint of marshmallow. I don't get bergamont, I barely get pepper, and if I sniff really hard I get marshmallow and vanilla. Still on the search for a good dupe.

This perfume smells like pure pink pepper on me. It’s incredibly spicy on my skin and has a strong rose scent. Barely any sweetness on me. It’s not bad. It’s just not for me. I gave my bottle to a friend and it smells completely different on her, and she now wears this as her signature scent. It’s pure sweetness, mildly spicy and a touch floral. It smells amazing on her. I’ve had a sample of Love, Don’t Be Shy, and this is as close as you could get to the original. It’s almost identical. I wish I could love it, but it doesn’t work for me.

I originally purchased this for myself as a blind buy. I had never smelt LDBS but had heard such wonderful things. I wasn't a fan upon smelling it so I sat it to the side. My 18yo who DOES know what LBDS smells like said it was amazingly close. She drained the bottle and had been asking for another and we both were so happy when I received one as a 'mystery' gift. For me and my family so far Oakcha has had THE BEST dupes we have tried.

This smells almost identical to LDBS in the opening but that delicious fruity pebbles sweetness fades fairly quickly and you're left with a rather dull and slightly offputting animalic musk for the majority of the wear.

This opening slaps me in the face and screeches. Dry down smells just like bubblegum. I realized I dont like Neroli.

It's giving Dollar Store wax crayons. Mixed with Wax Lips, Peeps🐤. We will see in a week or two.

Maybe I got a bad batch or something but it just smells like rotten fruit to me. Wasn’t a fan.

This is probably one of the only unsuccessful blind buys I've ever had with perfumes (unsuccessful is a very light way to put this). I waited several weeks, super excited to get this one after reading all the reviews. Also it has a lot of notes that are the same as one of my other favorite perfumes (Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture). And boy, what an unpleasant experience. I sprayed it on my wrist all excited thinking it would be this cloud of sweet marshmallow, honey suckle, and jasmine. I got blasted with sharp bug spray instead. It was so bad I tried to wash it off but it stayed put on my skin. I was really disappointed but thought maybe if I gave it some time to sit and tried it again it would be better. So fast forward one month I'm in my apartment with no plans of leaving the house and potentially ruining someone's day with bug repellant scent. I spray it cautiously. It definitely changed but was this glaring, artificial block of burned sugar that was suffocating. I also noticed (since I wasn't frantically washing it off like last time) just how oily it was. I don't mind perfume oils given their potency. However, the way it sprayed out on my wrist and sweatshirt and how oily the top of the spray became was a huge turn off. My roommate asked me if I lit a candle that day and asked that I use lighter scented candles since the smell was making her nauseous. I sheepishly told her it was that perfume I was all excited about that was a huge let down. So all in all, it does get better if you let it sit. But if you're looking for a bomb of burned sugar that will nauseate everyone around you this is the perfect perfume. I will probably never try another Oakcha perfume after this experience

oh lord where do i start, this was a blind buy. the name is suuuper misleading. the first thing i got was the super strong pink pepper and burnt my nose and after that dries down all i got was bug spray and a musky animal scent. the florals and sweetness was just not there at all for me. I love oakcha but this is by far one of the worst ones i smelt from them. i tried really hard to like it but i just cannot bring myself to enjoy this at all. my husband agreed this was just not a good fragrance.

I let all of the TikTok reviews influence me and I really, really wanted to love this... I hate it <3 On the initial spray, this smells like mosquito repellent with mature white floral notes that remind me of my grandmother's perfume. On the dry down, it turns into a citrusy, sweet cotton candy and orange blossom scent, appropriate for a middle school girl. Will be giving this one away.

i really tried my best to like this one. I gave it weeks, months, and a whole year to macerate but i just cant get myself to like it. It has a very strange smoky and spicy smell that overpowers all other notes. i can smell the marshmellow and vanilla but it literally is so mellow in this concoction. to me it smells very peppery sweet. Not for me

I actually hate it. I wanted SOOOOO BAD to love it because I wanted a LDBS dupe. The pink pepper just takes it over. I don’t get sweet at ALL! It burns my nose. So sad. Wound up forking up the cash for LDBS instead since every “dupe” smells nothing like it.

Unfortunately, my body chemistry doesn't work with this scent. It's too bad because I love all of the notes, but it doesn't translate as that on my skin lol. It smells very heavily powdery and not sweet florally, oh well

smells screetchy and headache inducing. Looking to give it away. Idk how close or far it smells to LDBS but I didn't enjoy it, even though I tried.

Update from original review: I have now worn this a few more times and I can't get past how overwhelming it is. She will go in my for sale group. I just got this one. It's my first oakcha perfume and I wish I had chose something else. It blasts you on first spray. It is very sweet. Almost too sweet. It's drying down now and not so in your face. I don't hate it but it's not going to be something I reach for often. I am getting a little bit of a headache. She is also heavy floral. I would say floral sweet. I will wear this a few more times to get a real feel for it and come back with an update. Rate- 3/10

Based on the main accords & notes (neroli, bergamot, jasmine, orange blossom, honeysuckle, white musk) this *should* have been a homerun for me, and I keep trying to like it, but it's just not good. This smells like salty liquid smoke with a weird underlying sweetness, is it the pink pepper that makes it smoky? It would be ok without that salty smoke, but that accord is so overpowering it makes this scent unbearable. I got the oil instead of the spray, not sure if that makes any difference but I won't be buying the spray to find out.

To me it smells very animalistic. It does have sweet notes, but I also got a strong urine or fecal vibe from it . It actually made me nauseous to smell it.

YUCK!! This is so gross! There's nothing sweet or gourmand about it. It honestly Smells like "Soapy Dishwater", to me.

This smells of NOTHING spray yourself with simple syrup. Same effect.

I wore this for the whole last autumn. Such a happy FALLIN IN LOVE perfume, and btw that was the scenario, hehe. 🌸 It smells so similar to LDBS and has so much better performance that it’s creepy. It stays for days and months. My leather jacket still smells on it even after cleaning. My whole closet smells like that. Persistant. The downside is the same as with Ldbs- i dont find them sexy. They are cozy, warm, sweet, happy, light, good mood, candy like- but they are not sexy. They are not sensual, alluring, elegant. They just dont do that for me. So after 2 months of daily use I had to go and find some wintery sexy and daily perfume.

I never like Love enough to fork over the dough so this was a good compromise and it’s at such a fair price for good quality that I can’t be mad about it. This company is hit or miss. What I’ve learned is that the pink bottles are typically pretty solid as far as dupes with the black ones being questionable. Wood Sage from Jo Malone is a miss, Speakeasy which is supposed to be like Jazz Club is a miss, Portrait of a Lady is a miss and don’t bother ordering enough for the free bottle because they only sent me their crappy oud line and they sent me the same fragrance twice.

Ok... this is one that definitely has to rest. I tried it the first day after getting it and all I could smell was grape kool-aid. 3 weeks after letting it macerate I'm now getting grape, but it's deeper. I'm also getting the marshmallow and keep getting whisps of fruity pebbles. It's starting to become what it's supposed to be and I'm confident that this fragrance is only going to get better. I hope I can say the same for their version of Another 13 because I tried that one a week ago, only tiny amount and pencil shavings took over at an alarmingly STRONG manner lol

If this is what Love Dont Be Shy smells like then..... The crazy thing about this is that when I first bought it I like it. I even created memories with it by wearing it to my fave band's concert. Next thing I know I went to the doctor and could REALLY smell again (I have sinus issues) and this perfume STINKS to me now! I have no idea what note or combination of notes is making it smell so rancid to me. I personally hate the smell of rose and pink pepper so I am gonna blame those for now. Sad this stink is now tied to such great memories

I've got Oakcha's version of LDBS and Dossier's version. I prefer Dossier's because it is fresher smelling---the orange blossom really comes through in that one. The oakcha's version I find to be very sweet and kind of synthetic smelling. The marshmallow really comes through in their version. If you like sweeter and the marshmallow scent, I would recommend Oakcha's version. If you like fresher and more floral, I would recommend Dossier's version. They both smell good either way!

This is a lovely fragrance, and I agree that this is nearly identical to LDBS. (I find Sweet Addict to be a bit creamier or rounder in its scent, if that makes any sense. Perhaps the marshmallow is more prominent here?) The staying power on this is excellent, especially on clothes. I was initially skeptical of this company, but I tried a sample set, which I really enjoyed and then decided to blind buy this based on reviews of LDBS and my love of sweet florals.

So glad to see Oakcha on Fragrantica! I owned LDBS, so I had a chance to compare these two. Oakcha's version blows Kilian out of the water: It lasts much longer, the sillage is much better and it smells even better. I have the older black bottle, though, so I can't tell if it has been reformulated. But if you want to at least have an idea about Kilian's LDBS and later prefer investing in the original, I'd give Oakcha's Sweet Addict a try.

This is Love Don't Be Shy but with better longevity and a ton of projection. Always, always get compliments on it and love to layer with it to make some of my freshies a bit more gourmand (if you have Vibrato, I urge you to try the two together. I know, it's crazy but just trust me).

There’s something in this that smells like incense and I hate it. I do get why people compare it to candy hearts and it is very sweet. I feel like I would like this perfume if it didn’t have that smokiness to it, but it’s nothing out of this world. It actually kind of sucks.

Good dupe for my beloved and expensive LDBS but that opening is so aggressive, so spicy and burns my nostrils. Once it dries down is great! Still not identical

The older formula in the black bottle smells exactly like the pre reformulation of Love DBS in the black bottle!
