Watermelon Jam

Surprisingly, I really like this. Not one to like smelling like food--and this scent is straight up watermelon gummy rings--I actually like this fun scent. It is sweet and juicy. What is really weird is that after a few hours, the watermelon is completley gone and you are left with a woody, dry, slighly musky scent. No sweetness at all. It's a pleasant scent (though nearly non-existant), but I've never had a fragrance that changed so much in the drydown. Sadly, it doesn't last long at all--1 to 3 hours at best, and that is with heavy application. It also doesn't project, which wouldn't be such a problem if it just lasted longer. Not full bottle worthy. (I got this one in the Candy Collection sample set.) But if someone gifted me a bottle, I'd wear the heck out of it, but I'd reapply often.

This fragrance is pretty juvenile but I still love it and wear it occasionally. I have over 50 fragrances so I don’t reach for it often. However this particular fragrance is what got me started collecting fragrances. I don’t typically like Oakcha but this one is delicious. It smells like watermelon jolly ranchers with other notes.

This smells just like watermelon candy! Such a nice fragrance! I wish it lasted a little longer.

I echo the other complaints in these reviews; it smells sweet and fresh when you first put it on! But this is not a fragrance that will last longer than an hour. I also agree that it does trend toward a more juvenile vibe (it's a little bath and body works for my taste).

Wear this if you want kids to ask you for a piece of candy. Lol it literally smells like you have an open bag of watermelon gummies in your purse. I layer it with D&G L'imperatrice for a more wearable, grown up vibe.

I have this and Wavechild by Room 1015, they are so similar! I love to layer them together. This doesn’t have the salty ambergris notes of Wavechild, but the sugary, sour watermelon is very forward.

Basically Sour Patch Kids Watermelon lol... I like how watermelon fragrances smell so this is a yes for me. However, I can't visualize a good occasion to wear it.

I’ll be the first to say it smells like watermelon candy but NOT jolly rancher watermelon, it smells more watermelon-y than a typical jolly rancher

So juicy and fun. Definitely would have worn this in my teens, but it's a shame about the longevity.

I appreciate this scent for what it is, but the things that it lacks are enough for me to never touch this perfume. The scent is exactly what you think: watermelon candy. Think a watermelon jolly rancher; pure, synthetic, shockingly sweet, syrupy watermelon. This is one of my favorite candy flavors EVER... but it doesn't work for me as a fragrance. Too much. Too sweet. Nauseatingly cloying. Not something I want to be smelling for longer than a few minutes. While I wouldn't wear it... it is pretty mindblowing how close this fragrance is to watermelon candy. I open it up to take a whiff every now and then. It's not something I'd wear, but I don't mind a sniff or two here and there.

W.J is pretty ok for me, but it really is aptly named and I this would certainly come first to mind if/when anyone inquires about a watermelon fragrance. It's candied and smells like watermelon jelly beans. There's possibly some of that "green pear" here, but it's not a distinct sort of pear...the entirely composition is just fruity/tart. It's not merely sweet or *jammy*, but it does smell concentrated and thick. Kind of chewy. Not watery like L'imperatrice. Just a smidgen of white florals and some fuzzy clean musk undergird the fruit elements, and that's about it to me. Pretty simple/simple & pretty.

Smells like a sour watermelon candy. Almost like a chunk of watermelon dipped in citric acid. It’s not bad, but I’m not the biggest fan of watermelon so it’s only okay. I don’t get any jasmine, musk, sandalwood, or cedar. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 2 hours.

This smells exactly like watermelon flavoured candy to me. I cant decide if I like it or not, doesn't quite fit my vibes, but if you're looking to smell like a sweet watermelon candy, this is for you.

Oily and the scent disappears within minutes. Not even others around me and smell it up close. Dabbing on clothing doesn’t help either. A shame because I smells delicious right out of the bottle.

I doubt everyone gets this from this perfume, to me it smells a bit like a watermelon hairspray vibe. To be fair, it also smells like candy.

Decluttered due to it being too much like a jolly rancher. But perfect if jolly rancher is your preferred scent.

The scent of fresh kind of sweet watermelon.

I try to keep a really open mind about perfumes from cheapest to high-end and across a really broad ranges of styles and notes. I realize what works on me won't work on anyone else, and vice versa. But this - on myself and two friends - is blended in a way where I can basically smell the limonene and acetate. It feels like perfume but smells like a hairspray or fashionable cleaning product. Do not recommend. I think mostly the brand is popular because the concept is cute and price is cheap.

Watermelon Jam by Oakcha....Imagine eating a watermelon candy and spitting into somebody's Stanley filled all the way up with water. Or eating a watermelon candy and whispering the word "watermelon" so quietly in a room then running out of that room very fast. So disappointing.

Smelled like straight soap on my skin with a slight sweetness. If I wanted to smell like shower soap, I used shower soap. I dont need to add fragrance. Gave it to a friend.

It smells like it has patchouli to me, dunno why. Don't like the smell. Doesn't even smell sweet.

Oakcha Watermelon Jam might be claimed to smell like those sour watermelon gummies but that's not what it smells like to me. It smells nothing like Snif Swede Tooth in the opening. A little gelatinous vibe enters as it dries, but it smells like those watermelon lollipops I ate all the time in high school, Alberts Big Slice Pop. It's the same lollipop that Room 1015 Wavechild uses but more of the original red. Oakcha specifically uses the green more sour one, and not the regular red or blue one. Maybe the red a little but mostly the green hard candy lollipop. This is too juvenile and not necessarily youthful and wearable for adults like Snif. Also not as smooth and more synthetic. It's so abrasive when smelled up close but the projection is closer to the skin after the initial blast. It smells like its price. You can definitely get this same vibe for a similarly low price elsewhere though.

smells like cheap plasticky candy, it isn’t grounded at all. i would’ve loved it when i was about 14, but it’s way too synthetic and empty for me now. it reminds me of sour watermelon spray candy from the dollar store, i wish it was more like a watermelon blow pop with some soft bubblegum or even some sort of creaminess to balance it out and keep it from going so plasticky and aerosol-ish

I also get 100% jolly rancher watermelon candy. It's really fun, but it's not a perfume to me. I might be a little old to smell like hard candy.

Sweet, a bit fresh, and the faintest nuance of generic watermelon gummie (not hard candy/jolly rancher). I was disappointed.

save your money and just buy watermelon essential oil lol. apparently a good dupe for Wavechild by Room 1015
