Dulce de Leche

Was actively looking for a gourmand dulce the leche fragrance out of nostalgia and came across this. The opening brings out a realistic, creamy dulce de leche caramel smell, quite linear but all the pleasing nevertheless. I did not feel the spices at all on my skin, however, and the performance wasn't great either. I got nearly 4 hours of decent performance on my skin with a rather weak projection. With kakigori collection of Obvious, you are supposed to layer the fragrance with "White Crush" and then you get a even more complex scent (or so the I was told by the sales person). I did not do this on this instance tho. A better and even more photorealistic dulce de leche fragrance is "Quilombo" by Fuegia.

This starts with a burst of caramelized pop corn which quickly disappears. What remains is a buttery caramel, strong but not too sweet. In the drydown, on my skin, it has a slight exotic smell (something like coconut). I personnally don't like that last part. Still, I think it's an interesting option for those who want the aroma of a gourmand without the heaviness usually found in this kind of fragrances.

Opens up with a sweet condensed milk smell. Yummy and laconic. I get depth from the nuttiness. It's seems a little more synthetic in the drydown. Something almost waxy, like sniffing vanilla bean candles at TJMaxx. This stays close to the skin too. Might have to spray clothes to get it to project.

Tried this randomly it Scent Bar NYC and there’s something really intriguing about it. There’s like a butterscotch vibe to it, a salted caramel vibe. I like it. It does have the essence dulce de leche. It lasts a long time on the skin. smells the same on paper as it does on the skin. It doesn’t change very much it, pretty much smells the same from opening to dry down which can be considered a good or bad thing. This is a good unique gourmand. more people should test this out. I think it could have some popularity.

I get the nut, the milk, the mild spice. Its very much like a warm milk drink. The woods are missing on me and the black pepper too. It’s pleasant and not cloyingly sweet, but it’s too much like a bedtime drink for sleepless children for me to wear it as a perfume.
