Un Bois

This is beautiful. I don't know what it is but I am not a lover of vetiver. The vetiver is something that I smell immediately, even thought it is listed here as a base note. Luckily it disappears within half an hour and a sweet woody scent takes over. Nothing wrong with the vetiver, it is smooth, but not not my cup of tea. But the rest is worth waiting for!

This is ASBOLUTELY beautiful. If I have to reference a certain brand, I would say it smells like a mixture of fragrances from Aesop, ROJA, and even AER a little, yet make it light and minimal. this is a very feathered yet layered scent that grabs on your skin for surprisingly long before gone and remains like a clean musky scent. 10/10 for me.

I love this. At first it smells like citrusy, a little fruity, shower gel. Like luxurious bath & body products from a boutique hotel. Then it settles into something more musky and peppery. A very clean, fresh, green scent.

Love this scent. To me it's a light combination of Terre d'Hermes Hermès and Molecule 02. If you like eoth of these, you will LOVE this scent.

Vetiver is one of the accords a friend first suggested to me when I was curious about perfume/cologne, but it never seemed to fit my tastes. Countering that, and why I decided to give this a shot, is the cedar and bergamot notes - two I usually love. Upon first application, I was struck by how clean this smells, and how none of the notes I picked up on seemed to drown the others out. It was a little light, so I reapplied immediately to make sure I could take it all in. This is a 50/50 cedar/vetiver combination for me, with maybe a touch of that balsam to make this a neat little woody concoction. Finally, a win for vetiver and me; it smells green and snappy next to the cedar. Un Bois reminds me of Diptyque Orpheon - both are nice cedar-centric frags on me, and neither seems too loud. Orpheon is more mature while Un Bois feels like it's youthful counterpart.

this smells soooooo good... it kind of reminds me of the 2017 formulation of you, but a little brighter and fresher but also a bit more woody too. my biggest gripe with this is the sillage is extremeeeely tight... my girlfriend loved this but only could smell it like if she put her nose right on my neck

Reminds me a little of Elysium Cologne, probably due to the vetiver/cedar combo + how light this fragrance is. This is nice on a tester strip, however the refreshing nature of this fragrance isn’t going to last more than 10 minutes with my skin chemistry. Overall a nice scent.

A woody fragrance with good quality of ingredients. Linear, I can detect ambroxan, cedar and vetiver. It is a versatile scent (can be a signature scent). You need to try if you like Paper by Commodity or Molecule or this type of scents. --> For soft wood lovers.

I enjoy the smell of this fragrance, however it’s quite redundant. It smells like so many other of my favorite fragrances, most of which perform better. If this was cheap I’d wear it all the time, but it’s not worth the price in my opinion.

Strangely enough, this is exactly the same as Peau Santa by Miller Harris on my skin. The same woodiness. I do prefer that one because it's smoother and slightly more feminine, plus it lasts much longer than Un Bois.

Wood 🪵. That’s honestly about it for me. Smells very pleasant. Too bad it lasts about an hour.

I like this a lot. It reminds me a bit of Byredo's Gypsy Water.

This one is just okay for me. I actually don't get much wood. There's some vague cedar in here, but what I really get is a huge amount of black pepper on first spray, which is enough to make me sneeze. I don't get any bergamot or vetiver. Once the pepper dies down, I get a very papery drydown that's got a good amount of ambroxan and what I assume is the papyrus? It has the same papery quality that Milk from Dedcool has, but no real muskiness or citrus or anything. It's not bad, but for something called Un Bois, I really don't get much, if any, wood. That papery note lingers for a while, with low sillage, and I actually do find it quite comforting and pleasant, but I really do not care for the black pepper opening, so it's not super worth it for me. I prefer others from Obvious much more, and for a papery musk I'd go for Extra Milk from Dedcool. If you're looking for something woody, I don't think you'll find it here. If you like peppery paper, you'll probably actually dig this very much.

An extremely diluted and dumbed down version of Le Labo's Vetiver 46. Bought this blind and couldn't believe how they just released this as a scent. Zero complexity, a nothing exciting black pepper vetiver cedar combo that does not bloom nor have any performance. Totally agree that this has two perfumers listed is just absurd.

Well, I guess you get what you pay for. Some vague, dry, woody smell, and that's it, really. All I got was black pepper and cedar. Two perfumers worked on this? Why?! Really not interesting.

Ambroxan, wood notes and vetiver, and of course, stronger in the opening. A rather dull and pedestrian choice. I’m getting tired of so many new releases featuring a dominant ambroxan.

تست امشب اکوردی بینهایت زلال و شفاف از بوی زست لیمو و وتیور که با امبرکسان جلا پیدا کرده امبرکسان درکنار هیچ نتی به اندازه وتیور زیبا نمیشه . آن بوآ فضای چوبی مدرن و تمیزی داره بوی پوست تن کسی که تازه از حمام اومده و درحال سیگار کشیدنه . ته بوی اسموکی خیلی جذابی داره این یکی از درخشان‌ترین ترکیبات چوبی امبرکسانی هست که تجربه کردم . از نظر شباهت فضای خیلی جدیدی نداره . مثل اکثر عطرهای این دسته چوبی و امبرکسانی ولی تو این کار وتیور نقش خیلی جذابی رو ایفا می‌کنه که مثلا از فضای عطرهای بوآ امپریال یا سانتال ل لبو جداش می‌کنه . استارت این عطر خیلی به خانواده ادکلنهای هی وود دسکوارِد نزدیکه ولی گذر زمان کیفیت بالا و مانایی زیبایی تو این عطر رو ثابت می‌کنه . کیفیت عطر بسیار بالاست . رایحه بینهایت زیبا و مدرنی داده پرفرومنس معمولیه ولی به لطف نت امبرکسان خط بوی زیادی داره که می‌تونه تا عمق قلب مخاطب فرو بره . اگه فکر میکنید همیشه آدم مرتب و شیکی هستید و ذاتا تمیز هستید و اهل پوشیدن پیراهن های کتان و سفید هستید این عطر برازنده شماست . .

I was given some samples and one of them was Un Bois by Obvious, from Libertine Australia with a purchase I made. I use half of my 1.5 vales at 8:00 AM and it is now 6:49, PM it is now a skin scent on my skin and it is on the blouse that I wore to work and I could faintly smell it in my office as leave and re-enter the office. I kept thinking all day, what if I had used a spray bottle and not a tiny sample that I just dip into my pulse points? It's amazing. I am going to invest in a big bottle. Folks, please check out Libertine in Australia. They sell high-end inch fragrances, it doesn't matter the amount you spend, you will receive lots of samples. I highly recommend this fragrance.

Nothing wrong with a peppery vetiver/cedar mix. I feel like I've smelled this one before... A few times. A lot of people talk about being nose-blind to Ambroxan- as for me I think I can detect it (id describe it as kind of a tangy newspaper), and It kind of rounds out the blend, but doesn't stand out enough to change the profile of the fragrance. Overall this isn't a bad one at all, but I do wish it was a little more distinct.

This is a well-done, sexy, woody fragrance that is dominant on the cedar. It does smell rather synthetic, but is still enjoyable. This reminds me of some of the Molecule-style fragrance or of Cedre Atlas by Atelier Cologne. In my opinion this leans masculine. Not one I'd wear myself, as it's a bit too molecule-like for my tastes, but wouldn't mind smelling this on someone else.

Wood, just wood, not bad even pleasant, for me it’s smell like my bottle of Sous le Pont Mirabeau from ELDO, minus the aquatic notes. So not bottle worthy for me since I already have something similar Got it from the sample kit : 10 samples 19€ + un été gifted, really nice trial kit and actually a good learning tool to pinpoint specific smell

Woody, a little peppery, papyrus and a beautiful ambroxan to create an ethereal “your skin but better” this one’s more on the masculine side . I love this type of fragrance.

Very warm and spicy, reminiscent of Obvious' Scoville minus the green notes. Has nice longevity (6-8h) but low sillage. An intimate vetiver forward skin scent.

If I smelled this blind I would have bet that Escentric Molecules came out with a M02 + Vetiver. Smells clean, simple, and masculine.

Tried this for the first time tonight and live it. Think uts going to be a full bottle. Why havd i never heard if this before.

You wouldnt believe how much the ambroxan and the vetiver are combined and infused to give a wonderful heavenly smell!
