Un Été

I tried this out blindly in a store, not expecting much. It turned out to be amazing and signature-scent worthy!! When I first smelled it on a tester paper, I instantly knew it was a strong matcha/tea based perfume without even reading the notes. It's so realistic. Normally I don't go for "tea" fragrances (especially white teas or black teas) but this one is so interesting and beautiful. It's green, earthy, and grassy in such a fresh and addicting way. I have trouble getting any citrus notes, but I don't doubt they're there-- maybe they're just hiding, blended in extremely well. I'm not sure about ginger either, which is great because I'm not a fan of strong ginger scents. When I put it on my skin, it developed into a matcha latte scent, still green and grassy and earthy, but anchored by a creamy, slightly sweet vanilla base. I wore it all day and it performed beautifully. I'm in love with this fragrance. It's fresh and sweet and earthy and creamy. It fades to a soft, clean vanilla with a hint of matcha, so it stands out from my other vanilla fragrances. It smells fluffy and beautiful. I couldn't stop smelling myself the whole time I wore this, and I MUST get my hands on a full bottle. Edit: I bought the full bottle. It's sooo goooooooood!!! New signature scent <3 Also I'm upping the price value to "good value" because it's a full 100 ml, which is way more than my other luxury perfumes for similar prices. When I wear this I feel like the whole world is soft and sparkling. I love it. As for silage and lasting power, I used a single spray on my wrists and then went to lunch with a friend. She said she could smell me the whole time we were eating! It seems pretty strong for the first ~2 hours, but then it fades into a more intimate scent and lingers for quite while longer. Honestly, the performance is comparable or better than my other high end fragrances.

Every now and then there is a fragrance that I smell and IMMEDIATELY buy. This was one of those. I smelled it and was like: "TAKE MY MONEY!" This is what I wanted Matcha Meditation to be, this is what I wanted Thé Matcha 26 to be, and Je Ne Sais Quoi, and Sunday, and all the other matcha fragrances. For me, they all failed to smell like a matcha latte, but Un Été finally succeeded. This smells EXACTLY like a matcha latte and it's beautiful. I only get a little bit of citrus, I get very true matcha and a super lactonic vanilla. This is like a milky, lemony tea cake on a beautiful meadow on a sunny afternoon. That's the only way I can describe it. Why lactonic isn't listed as an accord is a mystery to me. I think the folks af Fragrantica and I may have different ideas of what lactonic is. It definitely smells like milk though, and I love it. I haven't done a full wear of it yet since my bottle has yet to arrive, but I will update this when I have.

Un Été is an incredibly unique fragrance with immense amounts of character. It opens straight away with a rindy clementine and mandarin, alongside a heavy dose of ginger and matcha tea. Mate, vanilla and tonka bean are then quickly introduced to create a deliciously sweet and tart concoction which is definitely unique. While not listed, I get a strong almond accord with this scent - one of the most realistic almonds I’ve ever come across in fact. To me this fragrance smells like a hyperrealistic almond and vanilla cake, and it’s absolutely delicious. This is definitely a fragrance I recommend checking out, but not one to blind buy. I can imagine it being very polarising but the quality is amazing and the scent is lovely, overall very impressive.

"Un Éte" is beautiful. It opens very citrusy, I don't really get any ginger - what for me is great, since ginger always smells a bit medicinal on my skin. Then it dries down very creamy and lactonic! Smells almost like yogurt and honey with hints of citrus. The matcha is there, but it is very subtle in my opinion. I found it quite unique and worth of a signature scent. My problem with "Un Éte" is the longevity. I would say it last around 3-4h and the sillage is intimate. Still, it is a great fresh gourmand that I could use all year round!

Unfortunately, I can't comment on sillage or longevity yet since I've just now sprayed it, but HUBBA HUBBA 😍 This is the first time I've jumped on here so quickly after spraying a scent to review it!!! On me, this is a slightly sweet, earthy, slightly citrus matcha. There is a note that is turning this a little soapy on me (my only downside) but man oh man I can't wait until the spring so I can bust this baby out every day. Someone below mentioned how it's sharp with a creamy undertone, which for me, is the appeal.

This reminds me if Xerjoff Lira had a powdery, matcha, beachy cousin and also similar to Lira, the projection is tame, unless over-applied. The citrus in the opening lasts all day when applied to clothing and dries to that beachy summer smell implied in the title. However, when applied just to the skin, the citrus fades quickly but the skin dry down is a very beautiful powdered lemon-matcha vanilla cookie. It's lovely, simple, and very easy to wear.

Finally! A tea scent that actually smells like tea instead of vague, green hand waving. Fresh matcha with a hint of creamy sweetness. I could do without the citrus, but it's not terribly obtrusive. I think yuzu would have been more appropriate but whatever. An airy gourmand tea scent that is fresh and modern. Lovely! It is a bit soft though, I wish it had more projection and lasted longer. It was mostly gone by midday. 8/10

Holding onto my tester for dear life even if it's been empty for a year. I do not smell matcha but rather a high-quality green tea accompanied by the skin and juice of various citrus fruits. A slight hint of orange blossom that is not overpowering (I am usually not a fan of white flowers). Very potent and long-lasting. Considering buying the re-branded version but am afraid it might smell different...?

The dry down reminds me of Afternoon delight Replica MM. The longevity is crazy on me, 12+ hours! I love everything about it from the citrusy matcha opening to the beautiful vanilla dry down.

I absolutely love Un Été! It has great sillage and lasts 7+ hours on my skin. Starts off as a bright green tea with ginger and settles into a creamy matcha latte. Chefs kiss!

Un Été starts soft with a bite of sugared orange peel, sweet and delicate, not one bit sharp or tart, just tenderly glowing of citrus. Not juicy either, not bright, but smoother, more subdued. The ginger—I have to try really hard to pick up on—is there in a way that keeps the orange from being cloying, a soft counterweight you don’t notice unless missing. What comes through strongest, though, is the warmth, this slow, steady vanillic hum that feels so natural, so appropriate. And for what we've all been waiting for—the matcha. ABSOLUTELY PRESENT. More so than in Je Ne Sais Quoi or Princess, yes, I get the most velvety matcha latte ever existed. Not green and sharp, not astringent, but carrying with it floral notes, befittingly musky even. It also has this umami quality that anchors everything, giving the sweetness a little depth, turning powder into something so much more. I can only describe this as the kind of quiet complexity you wish to savor for as long as possible. But it doesn’t stay. The powdery matcha, the orange, the vanilla—all too doing, they begin to slip through your fingertips—your skin— like sand, leaving behind a zested tonka, translucent and balsamic. It’s nice enough, but it’s thin, hollow compared to the richness of the opening. That gorgeous blend just felt like one I didn’t have time to fully experience— beautiful yet bittersweet in its brevity.

I really enjoy the opening, which is very matcha-forward and smells super realistic. I wish it stayed like that! It very quickly dries down to something quite different. A herbal/citrusy but warm, creamy vanilla. I love vanilla but there's something in this one that bothers me. It's just too warm for me. I'm surprised there isn't a rice or sesame note in here, because I feel like that's along the lines of what I'm detecting. Overall it's a relatively pleasant scent and I don't think anyone will hate this, but for me it's a bit sickening because of whatever that mystery note is. This one just doesn't smell like me, if that makes sense. Also the projection and longevity are very poor. Definitely a skin scent. Also I would not compare this to matcha meditation. I think both scents are similar in that they smell like realistic matcha in the opening and then quickly change to something else, but the drydowns are super different. MM fries down to a heavy white floral. This one isn't floral. Also MM is a cold smell and this is a warm smell.

This wears like a milky matcha built on a bitter green backbone. The opening is immediately recognizable: powdered matcha, cool and slightly tannic, softened by an airy milk note. It’s creamier than d’Annam Matcha Soft Serve but avoids the warm, oily lactones that make Sorce Match Made in Heaven too buttery for me. The texture stays in the “milk and matcha” zone — soft, green, and faintly creamy — without drifting into dessert or humidity. A simple structure, but coherent. If you like bitter green tea with a cloud milk finish, this is exactly that. I was hoping to get citrus notes, but I wonder if the heat during delivery burned the volatile ingredients off. It is still quite nice.

i get no citrus in this, weirdly enough, but i do get some fresh tea, mate, matcha and beautiful herbal notes which remind me of debaser. however, i'm absolutely devastated to say that they barely last for more than 30 minutes, at best? and while the lingering scent is very much dried herbs, which is lovely, it's barely noticeable and ends up fading so fast. even if you try to smell your own wrists, it's just... gone. maybe it's just me, but it's definitely fleeting on me, and it's super sad since the perfume is gorgeous. disappointed to no end :(

Initial spray smells exactly like a milky matcha latte with a citrus hint. Maybe the best way to describe it is like a gourmand citrus?. Longevity and sillage is good. I used to love this scent, however.. After an hour, despite being a mostly linear scent, I start smelling a bit like playdough... maybe because it has a slight saltiness? I still love it and do get compliments from my boyfriend whenever I wear it, so I will keep it regardless of the playdough lol.

this smells divine...in the bottle. straight up matcha latte in the bottle but as soon as it goes on my skin it turns into a soft citrusy vanilla that makes me so angry because in the bottle this is the single best perfume i have ever ever smelt. i don’t know if its because of my chemistry or if this perfume smells like that on everyone but on me it really just smells like an unoriginal vanilla scent. i wanted to love this so bad.

On paper it smells way more like matcha - very green, on skin it's sweeter and the matcha smell is very subdued, but I still like it a lot.I find the name to be fitting. I have tried in the past perfumes with similar DNA like Princess by Kilian (the newer version) and Remember Me by Jovoy, the former was wayyyyy too powdery and synthetic on me, while the latter made me nauseous because it was very milky and thick.

This is quite simple, not too complex. I get lots of green tea, a dry powdered ginger and delicate orange blossom. It dries down with a big dose of vanilla. It’s not sweet. Very orange blossom heavy, and a sharp orange blossom at that. This note is dangerous for me because I find it overpowering, but the rest of the blend is so very pretty. I wish the orange blossom were softer, because I would immediately purchase a bottle. It's an otherwise lovely blend. A shame about the repackaging.

Imagine you are about to sunbath by a hotel pool, sunscreen freshly applied, your ice cold fruity cocktail waiting by your arm, a fresh new Vogue magazine waiting to be read. That's what this smells like. Warm skin, fruity, floral. Would I own a full bottle, no..... but a decant for hot summer nights, absolutely.

For matcha lovers with a touch of orange and vanilla. It is a "fresh" gourmand for hot days. Unisex for sure but you need to like tea and vanilla notes. --> In the same vibe of Remember Me by Jovoy. --> not a sunscreen scent to my opinion (été = summer in French).

Love the gingery opening. The vanilla is gentle, doesn't have that cloying sweetness that often accompanies it. Gentle creaminess. A comforting everyday option, not a "statement" perfume, and the price is right in that sense.

The opening was nice. Very bulgari white tea. However...If this is what matcha smells like....I don’t think I’m a fan. Reminds me of when I would rip up “elephant ear plants” as a kid. Kinda nauseating ⭐️

It's the Matcha latte in the opening! Sadly, the matcha latte scent disappeared around 30min. Afterwards, it's just a normal vanilla with some citrus... Longevity is short and sillage is soft too.

There's something very reminiscent of Viva La Juicy in this scent. They've got adjacent scent profiles, but there's a difference. This has more of a sugary sweet milky green tea vibe.

At first I was getting dirt, but on the dry down it turned into a citrusy matcha. I wish it was more matcha, but I think layering could help.

edit 2/23/24: rating changed from "dislike" to "okay". i still don't love it but i admit it has somewhat grown on me. i haven't worn it out or around another person though, only while at home; it's just that polarizing to me. i still stand by everything i said below. the scent is very dated and gives off somewhat of a fresh plastic kids toy vibe. slightly lactonic and sweet but not a full-blown gourmand. i would probably enjoy this scent MUCH more on someone else. i haven't smelt a unique scent like this, even though i don't love it. it confuses me. although it lowkey scares me, i can't stop sniffing it on my wrist just to be reminded of what it smells like. i'm heartbroken. not horrible but it's a no for me, i'm afraid. i had a male friend smell it and he said it smelled like it's from 2008. i've been on the search for a good matcha fragrance and wanted to like this so badly (and it didn't have to be a matcha *latte* scent, just matcha), but it comes off very plastic-y and never evolved well on my skin; it smelt like the same plastic toy (like the squishy polly pocket clothes) throughout, but if you enjoy this scent, it lasts very long- over 7 hours in and only then was it starting to fade on me. i can genuinely see why someone would enjoy this unisex (imo) scent and i think it just didn't work out for my skin chemistry. it was very overwhelming initially, not a safe blind buy by any means. however, props to its unique scent, fair pricing, and gorgeous minimal bottle design.

I do like this one, but it’s not as matcha dominant as I’d hoped. The initial blast is great—very matcha forward—but then it dries down to a predominantly orange, citrus, earthy scent on my skin. The orange is mainly all I smell for some reason and it’s not a love for me. As it really settles into the skin, it smells soapy... akin to replica’s bubble bath. It is definitely more of a citrus freshie than the creamy, lactonic matcha tea scent I was craving. Lastly, longevity is extremely poor on my skin--even after layering with an oil (1-3 hours tops). I also get no vanilla which is extremely disappointing, as it is one of my favorite notes.

A pungent opening reminiscent of soggy cardboard that's been drenched in matcha latte and left to soak in a warm room. It literally makes me dry-heave, especially when I step into small spaces right after applying it to my skin. However, once it dries down, it transforms into a cozy, herbal, and lactonic scent that smells amazing. This is the first time I’ve ever experienced such a visceral reaction to a perfume. Truly a paradox of a fragrance. If you’re unaffected by the opening, and you like matcha, you’ll probably love it.

This is mainly big ginger to me! With lots of mandarin at the start, a little orange blossom in the middle, and a little balsam at the end. So it definitely hits those notes like it said it would, just I don't really get the matcha or vanilla. If you're into super fresh & clean smells you're probably gonna like it! But maybe a little too close to cleaning supplies for my comfort. Also I'm not gonna confirm, but I suspect it may have given my coworker a migraine that sent her home for the day, so maybe watch out for that.

More like a buckwheat tea to me than a matcha tea latte. It is a tad less sweet and more complex than Matcha Meditation by Replica in a pleasing way. But it only lasts .... i'm going to say 20 minutes?... before the tea starts to transform into a barely detectable and generic vanilla skin scent. Unfortunately, I was looking for an alternative to MM due to MM's poor longevity as well. The search continues! I do think this is a safe scent for work and would make a nice lotion.

This is a nice little fragrance overall. The matcha and mate are quite realistic. As such, the profile leans more savory and herbaceous than floral or citric. This is a cup of tea with no cream or sugar added. I like it. My issue with Un Été is that the performance just isn't good. I don't mind the intimate sillage, but the scent almost completely disappears after 1.5 - 2 hours. If the formulation were improved, I might consider a full bottle.

This is a matcha perfume but a sweet matcha perfume. It's a more bearable sweet scent than matcha meditation and not heavily floral. It's a little soapy almost in a creamy way. But damn does this not last long at all unfortunately and I only had it on for about a couple minutes before it goes into a lactonic skin scent. Which isn't bad but I did wish the matcha is more prevalent like in Matcha Meditation.

In Été starts so beautifully with a burst of fresh citrus, ginger, fresh orange blossom and a beautiful and bright vanilla. But then it all fades down to a muddled flowery and sickly sweet mess that reminds me of cheap lotion from Walgreens. It’s so sad because the first 15 minutes are absolutely magical ✨✨✨ Oh well ...

I bought this fragrance because I was running low on Replica’s Matcha Meditation. While I didn’t expect it to smell exactly like Matcha Meditation, I was hoping for at least a hint of matcha. Unfortunately, I don’t get any matcha from this at all. Instead, there’s a distinct smell that I can only describe as ‘pissy.’ I suspect it’s coming from the yerba mate note. This unpleasant scent becomes even stronger, especially on warm days, making me feel self-conscious when I wear it out. Maybe I got the wrong batch, as I asked my sister to smell it, and she also said it smells a little ‘pissy,’ lol.

Remember me- Jovoy, Devotion- D&G and this have the same weird synthetic note that i can’t stand. I love a screechy citrus so it’s not that. My theory is when you mix citrus with cheap vanilla or tonka it turns abnormal to me. Either you need another note to make the blend smoother (i.e lira or chelsea morning) or non-sweet vanillas with citrus doesn’t work for me.

Very weird that they are renaming this fragrance to milk&matcha, changing the packaging slightly, and remarketing it. Despite the new name, this fragrance does not smell like matcha to me. It smells very faint, like sunscreen and a lot of citrus in the opening. Maybe a little bit of tea, but not matcha. I truly can barely smell this, I’m not sure why?

Wow i really love this one. This is what i wanted Matcha Meditation to be. Smells like MM without the harsh jasmine drydown. I get a lot of matcha plus some creaminess from the vanilla. It smells exactly like a matcha latte! Getting a full bottle of this for sure!

Absolutely terrible sour milk, baby vomit lactonic note and cloying tea notes. I have a .33 Oz travel size. Maybe it went off?

yet another citrusy tea scent. quite sharp with a creamy undertone. it lacks the powdery and earthy aspect that matcha has.

I’m sooo glad I don’t get any of the orange top notes from this. This is the matcha scent that I was hoping that replica matcha meditation would be on me. I really liked matcha meditation’s opening but that disappears quickly the dry down became a very strong baby powder + floral on me that gave me a headache eventually. Instead, Un ete stays creamy and tea-like the entire duration. It opens up with a sweet milky green tea note and as it dries down, it mellows out and loses a little bit of the sweetness but retains the milkiness. I’m a HUGE fan of lactonic scents (look at my collection. Lol). I liked it so much I ordered this and also imaginary authors yesteday haze at the same time

Just got a whiff from my blotter. First I was puzzled, it smelled definitely familiar like I perfume I own in my teenage year. Then I got it, “This is her” from Hugo Boss, an overly sweet chemical juice taking dust in my teenage room. But the notes are different but on my paper those are really similar. No matcha just really harsh sweet synthetic notes for me I will update when I will do my skin test. Edit : okay definitely need to tried on skin, initially i do get creamy sweet, slightly aromatic. But definitely sweet on first impressions Got it from the sample kit : 10 samples 19€ + un été gifted, really nice trial kit and actually a good learning tool to pinpoint specific smell

I actually think this is a great and uplifting scent for a sunny winter day like today in NY. When I first purchased this scent, I tried wearing it out during some balmy summer days, and personally found it too cloying. It has pretty good longevity, especially compared to others from this brand. The overall notes I get from this are a creamy vanilla, a light ginger-y and powdery confectionary sweetness, and very faint hints of citrus (that mostly subside <1 minute after initial spray).

Opens very citrus and slightly sugary with a green tea scent in the background. It actually reminds me exactly of the Lipton bottled green tea. As it dries down I get more of the yerba mate scent and it settles into a cozy skin scent with a sort of herbal air. Not a matcha latte kind of scent if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s pretty but fleeting. I’m gonna let it macerate and then come back to it.

uhm i am taking it back, its matcha waffle but its still not matcha. i am wanting something more bitter and grassy, i don't understand why when french ppl makes matcha, always always they make it citrusY, white floralY? i am venturing out to matcha perfume made by Asian right now e.g. j-scents and one day perfumery. especially one day! they are from my home city!
