Une Pistache

I’m not sure why anyone would assume this would be a super sweet gourmand smelling scent based off the notes or the accords...so I’m not someone who was disappointed when it was ofc not that. I was expecting a powdery and woody pistachio, not a dessert type of a pistachio, and that’s exactly what this is. This is a gorgeous scent, truly a unique scent in the pistachio profile! This opens with an earthy, slightly spiced, carrot scent that is quickly followed by a sweet and airy almond aroma. It’s doughy, powdery, woody, like the dry ingredients of a cake. Then comes the pistachio and it’s only slightly sweet, with soft florals making it feel fluffy and cozy. The sandalwood, cashmere, and musk make this creamy and enveloping; the sweetness is subtle, cozy, and natural, like an earthy sweetness not a foodie one. This feels like eating pistachios dusted with sweet cinnamon on a couch by the fireplace on a rainy day wrapped in a cashmere blanket. I would say the pistachio prominent but so is the carrot, the heliotrope, and the sandalwood. Definitely a very unisex scent as well.

I’ve had a full bottle bottle of Une Pistache for 6 months now and just got a sample of Meander from Amouage and another one of Lost Alice by Masque Milano to see how they compare. Une Pistache is my absolute favorite. It’s like a combination of Lost Alice and Meander but with more heliotrope. It’s the most powdery and balanced. Dry powdery florals. The least vegetable carrot out of the three as well, this one almost only has the sweetness from the carrot without the rest of the carrot if that makes sense. Almost like a carrotcake but not really. When I first got my bottle it lasted 4 hours, now it lasts 6-7. Soft projection like the rest. I’d say this is powdery, woody, a little sweet and something milky-nutty in the background. The main note isn’t actually pistachio, according to their website it’s pistachio milk so don’t expect something like Cheriosa 62. ❌Don’t expect a gourmand, this is more of a gris charnel vibe but different notes. ❌ Not a pickle sandalwood like Santal 33. ✔️Perfectly unisex.

Such a lovely, lovely scent! At first whiff, all I smell is peppery cardamom, spiciness and a bit of earthy carrot, but very uplifting and smoothly blended. That' great because it's morning and this kick improves my mood! I must admit I don't get much of a pistachio, just a pleasant, invigorating, warm, spicy smell! After awhile sweetness emerges, I believe those are the almonds and milky note, heliotrope, pistachio milk but, again, not much of a pistachio. Maybe a bit salty and nutty thanks to it? As the time progresses, it becomes more pleasantly sweet, silky, and discrete - I have to raise my wrist to my nose to smell it. (Maybe I just didn't spray enough.) I don't get much wood either, just a delicate play of romantic and cashmere-ish sweetness without any notes aggressively taking over or disrupting this balance. Such a nice one to test! I'll buy a bottle.

This is a nice surprise, a different proposition on pistachio, lighter and more balanced than the gourmand pistachio fragrances I'm used to. The first impression is powdery white flowers with a soft pistachio aroma. As it evolves, the fragrance reminds me of a sweet pistachio latte, made with plant milk. The lactonic note is probably brought by the sandalwood, whereas the olibanum adds balsamic sweetness and a nice dimension. The pistachio is more on the artificial flavor side rather than nutty, which contributes to the fragrance's lightness. The sillage and longevity are rather weak.

My go-to scent these days! It’s comforting - a little sweet, nutty, creamy in the beginning, and I get the cashmere and soft sandalwood on the dry down. Ultimate coziness. I LOVE the carrot and cardamom in the opening. All the notes harmonize beautifully. It’s not a straightforward pistachio, as the inspiration for the fragrance is a pistachio dessert. Which makes sense, as it reminds me of Indian desserts like kheer and kesar pista kulfi! Une Pistache is incredibly versatile - great for everyday and also easily dressed up. Finished my decant and sprung for a full bottle!

After letting this one macerate for nearly a year, I love it! At the opening, I get carrot & mascarpone cake vibe, the way my mom used to make it, and after an hour, it settles down to a baked pumpkin, drizzled with honey, mixed with ginger, turmeric and cardamom. Yummy! My daughters like it very much, as well, and they are 25 and 14, so I guess it doesn’t feel old fashioned. 🥰 Lasts on my skin the whole day.

I have finally find a lovely pistachio fragrance. I was looking for a pistachio scent since I try the kayali who I was very disappointed with this perfume. « The pistache » is more a real pistachio with sandalwood and musk for grownup. It’s creamy and not sugary. I love it so much in cold rainy weather. Very conforting. The longevity is very good height hours at least on my skin.

The most realistic pistachio fragrance to my nose! It is not too sweet, the scent reminds me of pistachio butter made of roasted pistachios. Unlike other pistachio fragrances that have almondy note (or in confectionery if one adds almond aroma but dyes the dessert green making it seem like a pistachio dessert), this one has rather something peppery to it.

This is a creamy and smooth cardamom, pistachio and heliotrope delight for me. This is quite potent for the first hour or so on my skin and then settles to a musky, comfortable scent. Yesterday I had this on one arm and was testing a sweet rose fragrance on the other and they worked beautifully together.

This is so soft and unexpectedly sweet. Yes, it does smell ever so slightly of pistachio, but I really get the heliotrope here and it's such a soft florally, nutty fragrance. I get the cashmeran and the musk as well. If you're interested in a sweet and soft florally pistachio, this is the one for you :-)

Amazing pistachio, yammy, milky and refreshing, with a leafy green turning green pistachio accord, not roasted but milk ripped, very gentle, almost not sweet, or rather pleasantly sweet. I instantly imagined pistachios over ice cream. A pinch of heliotrope (with almond), tender mimosa-like powderiness.

I love this one! The pistache milk note, the cardamom, so calm and comforting! The carrot note is so interesting because i actually smelled carrot cake for a moment which was a surprise. My mom loved it when she smelled it on me. If you're a cardamom and pistachio fan, this one is for you!

now i dont get pistachio or carrot from this, but its such a lovely smell, like warmed almond milk. i love this for bedtime its very soothing. its very intimate, and not strong, very much musky and skin-adjacent, like your skin in a warm blanket

Obvious has some unique, but one dimensional fragrances Un pistache is the top star. I like Un thé also. If you are looking for something that is pistachio prominent get this It is mainly sweet a bit salty. Carrot is visible as well 10/10

This is probably the only pistachio scent that has come out that I would deem successful. DS Durga's was a huge patchouli bomb and Kayali's is sweet, screechy, and synthetic. The Kyse one is photorealistic Talenti pistachio gelato but too on the nose for me—plus, I dislike their oil formula. I wasn't expecting much from this perfume and expected it to be heavy on the cardamom like L'aromatica's Kulfi. Une Pistache is pleasant and well-blended—at first whiff, the toasted, nutty pistachio is very apparent. However, within seconds, the toasted note takes a backseat, and the heliotrope, carrot, and musk take over. It is a pleasant, soft, nut-milky smell with an ever-so-tiny green and floral note presence. The more I smell my wrist, the more I get an almondy/soy milk scent with a bit of a spicy, green/floral edge that prevents it from going into true gourmand territory. While I think the toasted pistachio note deserves a little bit more "screen time", this is a more wearable, versatile perfume. I can't decide whether this is a like or love just yet—that green note fluctuates from being a little too heady to comforting and cozy.

If "pistachio" weren't in the name, I would not have guessed this would be a pistachio perfume just by scent alone. This doesn't have any warm, nutty-ness to it and it is not a gourmand. That's not to say the fragrance isn't pleasant - it's a powdery floral sitting on a milky sandalwood base. Heliotrope and Sandalwood are the two main players to my nose. This gives that high-end "hotel lobby" vibe that you hear about all the time. Don't get your hopes up if you're expecting something in the vein of Yum Pistachio Gelato or the one from Kyse or DS & Durga. Try it anyway, though. It's a nice, tranquil fragrance. 7.5/10

The nut, and nothing but. I've been on a pistachio kick this month and after a parade of Kayali dupes, this one is refreshingly not-sweet - and definitely not a gourmand. On my skin, the opening notes are raw, peeled and unsalted pistachios with a bit of musk. That's it. Carrot, neroli and heliotrope make more of an appearance as the scent unfolds, but because of the lack of any sweetness, the overall affect is clean and powdery. This is stunning and unique. The only other perfume in my collection that comes even close is L'Amandiere by James Heeley, which is the almond equivalent - nutty, clean, and fresh.

first skin test - initially heavy on the carrot which is sweet in an odd way. it has more of a feeling of nuttiness upfront rather than an actual note of pistachio. I can't decide if I like the opening or not. hour later it seems a lot like a less harsh le labo santal 33 that is not pickly. I get predominantly sandalwood and resin (olibanum) at this middle stage. Pretty musky throughout. its interesting. i do like it overall. I am not inclined to get it in lieu of other sandalwoods. and i will still look for a real pistachio scent because this is not it. maybe upon further wears i will get more attached.

My god this is so good. First blast and I get the most realistic green pistachio note! This is gourmand but not a sweet tooth type of gourmand. This is natural sweetness from a real raw pistachio and slight green-ess from carrot. The cardamom gives it some spice, like a pistachio biscotti. Very natural smelling overall. The only con is no projection, but we can't have it all. Edit: Quite spicy. Might be overbearing for some. This is really better for colder weather.

Luca Turin described a perfume (no, I can’t recall which one but it isn’t relevant) as for those “fragrance free” days. That’s Une Pistache. This is ephemeral yet beautiful and disappears immediately to waft gently to your nose when your body heats up or a wrist passes by your nose. Sweet, creamy green pistachio.

Although I don't get much pistachio, this fragrance dries down to be a creamy, musky delight! It's quite light and definitely smells different from what I expected but I will definitely be buying a full bottle after testing. It's airy qualities will be perfect for year round wear. Overall 8/10

Tried this in the summer heat, so maybe that has affected my perception but this smells like a really pleasant, sweet, nutty and slightly powdery/musky sunscreen. If I smelled this on someone, I would probably assume they had a really pleasant body cream or sunscreen on and not a perfume.

A warm pistachio with a powdery note and a touch of vanilla (no idea why I can detect vanilla). More for fall and winter, it is a cosy scent. I also detect warm spicy. Fully unisex to my opinion. Very linear, no surprise.

I agree with scheilamazzucco. I remember the same: in the store it seemed to be a real gourmand phistachio scent. I bought the bottle in 2023 and it didn't change over the time. It smells rather carrot than pistachio.

Delicate, soft skin scent. Pistachio milk and heliotrope notes are comforting and dominant. Green carrots and cardamom are not present to me. Easy to wear, elevated and will be a frequent spray in my rotation.

This is a very clean smelling musk. It is barely there and I struggle to smell it after an hour. But it’s a nice linear scent with interesting notes that blend well together.

The best pistachio perfume i have ever smelled. Not syrupy, fresh but creamy. I love love love this perfume!! Unfortunately the longevity is poor.

I don't smell any pistachio. I get a musky, cardamom and powder. I like it and it has a calming presence. I would wear this year round.

I get almond, almond ice cream, in fact, more than pistachio. Zero neroli or anything with a zing. Very gentle and sweet.

Signature pistachio scent very balanced unisex good for those who dont like beast mode

This is an odd scent. Initially I got the expected nutty pistachio I was expecting, not unpleasant. Then a waft of what I can only describe as 'old museum'? Sort of a flaxy woodiness. When I was a kid, the old Wellington Museum in NZ had a strange ground floor. Cold concrete painted floors. Very high ceilings. The first display was an extensive one with Maori carvings, jewellery, tools and a Pa (meeting house) - with a lot of old wood and woven flax. At the far end was a strange little corner which always freaked me out. It was half hidden until you came upon it. It had a mock tomb in a pyramid with an actual mummy lying exposed in a coffin, with straw on the floor. The whole floor was always rather dark and dingy, and you always felt like you could feel the ancestors of all the dead surrounding you. It had a certain smell, and this was it. So a definite no from me, but spooky how vivid the memories were on smelling this. I don't dislike it at all and quite surprising for me, but not something I would wear and not at all like the gourmand I assumed it would be.

I was super excited to smell this perfume after watching a few videos hyping it up as a pistachio fragrance, unfortunately I was disappointed when I got a sample, to me it smells very floral, and soapy. I don’t smell pistachios, and it doesn’t smell spicy, or gourmand to me. It reminds me only a little bit of Kayali’s Yum Pistachio, which I like, but just because of the soapy factor. It sits close to the skin, too, in my opinion.

Not what I was expecting this to smell like at all. It smells exactly like when you walk into one of those healthy smoothie shops. That smell of mixed produce: carrots, celery, wheat grass, apples, etc, blended with some kind of nut milk alternative. Very fresh and green with something creamy in the background. Pistachio is hardly detectable to my nose. Not unpleasant, but not what I wanted from a fragrance called Une Pistache.

i must admit i've never actually eaten pistachios, so i'm not one to say if this smells accurate. This scent initially reminds me of Gris Charnel - heavy on the cardamom note, though not as dense and strong. As it dries down it gets more powdery and vanillic, slightly warm and toasty.

Surprisingly powdery and floral, giving traditional “old lady” perfume, but I don’t mean that in a bad way. This could have been worn by one of the retirees at the church I went to as a kid. Can’t really pick out the pistachio. Should have been called “Un Héliotrope”.

I don’t get gourmand pistachio on this one at all. It is a fresh and green take on pistachios with a hint of spice. If I didn’t know there was a pistachio note I would have guessed green tea being in here. More of a Spring fragrance I feel.

After 15 minutes of creamy nuttiness all I get are floral notes. So the name is misleading. This is not unisex. It is too feminine for men.

Une Pistache is... confusing. What Am I Smelling? It’s bold, but not in the way you’d expect from something promising pistachio IN ITS NAME. Instead of a cozy, creamy pistachio creme nuttiness or a fragrant pistachio shell woodiness, this opens with a sharp balsamic punch that stings the nose, spicy and almost reminiscent of chinese medicine. It’s the kind of scent that doesn’t settle and has enormous sillage—or can I say spillage. It insists on being noticed, but for all the wrong reasons. And then the heliotrope. Oh, it’s there for sure, in abundance, musky and thick, wrapping everything in a cloying floral haze that only adds to the chaos. Une Pistache is unbalanced, that's what it is, as if the fragrance can’t decide what it wants to be. There’s nothing soft, sweet, or nutty here—no pistachio warmth to anchor the composition, no buttery gourmand undertones, unless you're willing to discuss an uncooked carrot note at the beginning. Instead, it’s funky, almost jarring, with an odd complexity that borders on dissonance. A scent that keeps you guessing, but not in a good way.

I tried this at a boutique and wore it for the rest of the day. I also have it on a tester paper. I already have Un Été, and that's my everyday fragrance. I thought I'd love this since I love powdery, milky, soft, sweet perfumes! I also love sandalwood and musk. But I sadly don't like this much at all. It is really spicy on me, not creamy or milky, and there's some sort of a deep, funky, bitter?/BO?? note that is present in certain other perfumes that I'm not a fan of. I wish I could describe it better. I also got a weird play-dough note after it settled in. I'm not getting fresh notes or floral notes at all, strangely. Maybe something is wrong with my nose. I really wanted to like it-- it was even kind of nice at first, especially in cold weather, almost like gingerbread. But after it dried down for a while, I started to feel sick whenever I smelled it on myself. My friend got it and I'd say the sillage is pretty strong on her. Sadly, it isn't for me.

Omg I wanted to like this so badly - I love heliotrope, powdery, almondy scents and have been trying to find the perfect pistachio. Unfortunately, it seems this has the same sandalwood accord as santal 33 and just smells like pickles to me. I can tell that underneath the pickle smell it's beautiful LOL but I just can't get past that sadly.

on my skin, it does NOT smell like pistachio and instead I get a heavy powdery-floral note. It's nearly fresh-green, instead of what I was hoping for (a sweet nutty-pistachio) I guess it is doing something different? From other nutty-fragrances, but just not what I was hoping for/wanting.

A sweet, nutty pistachio cream with hints of powdered almonds and a delicate touch of vanilla! Frankincense ruins all that. It adds a strange, green menthol-like note that clashes with everything else. It turned what could’ve been a smooth, almost gourmand fragrance into something weird.
