Une Rose

What's not to love about this? It's a fresh, dewy, youthful, aromatic, effervescent rose that really comes to life on skin. I've been going down a rose rabbit hole for the past couple of weeks, trying every rose-forward fragrance I can get my hands on and this one really stands out. Une Rose is not dark and domineering like Radical Rose from Matiere Premiere. It's not fragile and introverted like Eau Rose EdT by Diptyque. It's not sexy-spicy in the way Rose of No Man's Land is to my nose, or soapy-sweet like the (slightly dated) Rose Pompon. It's uplifting, happy, energetic, playful and simple in the best way. The first line of the copy reads: "At dawn I was born baptized with dew." However overtly dramatic this may sound, like something from an LA surfer's memoir, who has had one too many edibles, that is truly what this smells like: waking up with the sunrise, the air is cool, the flowers are flowering and you feel like the day is yours; all of yesterday's shit forgotten. Longevity? 7 hours on skin, and the rose stays put till the end. I'm a fan.

This is so good!!! I'm getting a sweet, spicy, powdery musk with a rose buried in the heart. This makes me think of an updated version of the original Commes de Garcons, which is a spicy incense rose. Interestingly, my full bottle has more of the pepper note than my sample from two years ago--I prefer the extra woody pepper, so that was a pleasant surprise! The cardamom is perfectly placed, bringing together the pepper and sweetness. The rose is not too floral, it behaves more like a sweet, fruity, musk, which makes the fragrance so easy to wear. I am a little surprised that this fragrance is called Une Rose because it certainly doesn't smell like a typical rose fragrance. I am so happy with this! It's vegan, sustainable, and very affordable for a niche fragrance. This might be my new signature scent! 5/5!!!

I continue to be impressed by this house; every scent is so wearable yet so thoughtful and beautifully blended. I think perhaps it's the geranium, but it almost smells like rose and carrots; it's weirdly rosey, mealy, rooty, fresh, aromatic, and sweet (bordering on jammy even) all at once and every time I smell it, I get something new. Actually as I am thinking about it, when people describe rose as smelling artichoke-y, it's exactly this. This is textbook artichoke (and maybe even some dill) rose. It's uncomplicated, but complex, and smells like a luxury hotel (maybe there's an unlisted sandalwood note in here, bc that's what usually gives me that impression).

I love this perfume so much. I got it a few months ago, and I instantly adored it. It starts off as a fresh, citrus scent that eventually dries down into a sweet rose fragrance with hints of pink pepper that add a slight sharpness to it. It’s truly a beautiful fragrance that has become one of my favourites. The longevity is decent too, as I can get about 5 hours out of this; however, the sillage is slightly weak, which I was slightly disappointed by. Overall, I definitely recommend getting this, but you might want to layer it if you want something stronger.

Does anyone get a Delina Exclusif vibe minus the sharp oud and the pear? I love this fragrance because I love the rose in Delina Exclusif but the pear and the oud give me a headache. Although I love fragrances with pear... But this here is beautiful, it smells amazing and you can really enjoy a soft rose in this fragrance.

WOAH! I did not expect myself to like this as i'm not a huge fan of rose scents! This was from the discovery set so I didn't bother to test it until now.. The freshness of the citrus notes make it smell like a sweet lychee drink, with rose petals sprinkled in it... So pretty! Currently considering getting a full bottle...

This is a very nice bright, tart, sweet rose fragrance. I get the mandarin in the opening, and the spice underlying throughout. I really enjoy this and find it rather unique. Reminds me of a lighter version of Ruby Wood by Exaltatum. Would be great for Spring, Summer, and possibly even early Autumn. Very well done!

Although I dont like rose scents generally, I like this one quite a lot. It has become my daily scent, its fresh, a bit spicy and citrusy. It makes me think of a fairy, or sth pink and sparkly while still being office appropriate.

First thoughts: very sweet, very fruity, very yummy rose with some juicy citruses and black currant on top and almost gourmand tonka beans or vanilla in its base. A bolder version of Delina from PDM. Lovely!

So so good, just the right balance between rose and citrus and well blended. Very unique. Considering a full size bottle purchase. I can't get enough sniff.

I like this a lot, but it doesn't actually strike me as a rose fragrance at all, and if I didn't know the name of the perfume, I wouldn't be able to tell you there was any rose in it. This, to me, is all sweet citrus. It is a very sweet fragrance, almost orange candy, but when I spray it on my arm it smells like I have spilled the juice from a Cutie tangerine on myself. It's got an almost sticky quality to it. I detect the faintest bit of powderiness from the cardamom, which is more of a texture than an aroma. The citrus is so juicy though, I certainly wouldn't call this powdery. I really don't detect much pepper or geranium here, although when my husband smelled this he said "ooh, spicy," (I detect only sweet citrus and no spice at all). My husband's beard balm is geranium and I'm quite used to the smell, and I don't pick up any trace of it here. I'm something of a citrus maniac, so none of this is a problem for me at all, but if you are here for rose, and I assume you are, you may be somewhat disappointed. As far as sillage, this one is decent, and certainly projects more than Une Fleur D'Oranger (another favorite from this line). It lasts quite a long time and stays fairly prominent on my skin, and if I spray it in the morning, it is still easily detectable at night. This one is solidly feminine to my nose, and rather youthful. It toes the line of a designer fragrance for women in their 20s, like something from Marc Jacobs, but it stays just this side of niche. Probably too feminine for me or most men to pull off, but I could see most women liking this. Overall, really good performance and an uncomplicated, crowd-pleasing smell, if not strictly a rose affair. I like it.

In my opinion, this perfume is a citrusy rose fragrance with a hint of spice. It opens with some of the grapefruit and bergamot, but I can't smell the tangerine. I then mostly get the rose, followed by the pink pepper. I smell a tiny bit of cardamom, too. It's a scent that sits quite close to the skin and doesn't project that much, but it is quite pleasant and I could imagine this being quite work appropriate in an office that doesn't forbid fragrances. This perfume also doesn't last that long on the skin. It's certainly not the most unique rose scent, though. I wouldn't say that it is a realistic smelling rose like my personal favorite Eau Rose EDT by Diptyque, either. I'd say this perfume leans feminine, but the right guy might be able to get away with it if he is daring enough. I wouldn't get this for me, but I wouldn't mind smelling this on another woman at all.

absolutely gorgeous & unique rose perfume because it’s both fresh & spicy. i feel like most of the time when we see fresh rose fragrances they tend to be more watery / dewey with a musky & woody dry down, but this one is special because it’s so juicy and fresh in the opening and the dry down is mostly a spicy cardamom (on my skin). i ordered a 5ml decant and drained nearly 1/2 of it with 2 applications today, once in the morning and once about 5-6 hours in to touch up. even with plenty of over-spraying and 2 applications, this scent was not detectable on skin or clothes after few hours. i honestly don’t think id mind re-applying though because its so pleasant and easy to find on a discount site for a good deal. definitely on the wishlist for next season when warmer weather comes back around!

A warm weather rose with the lightest splash of citrus and a pinch of cardamom, giving the composition an icy cool-hot effect. The quintessential easy reach; what elevates this perfume is that it doesn’t feel generic or predictable. Obvious made a pretty, well blended perfume. I like Un Rose, but it is does stay close to the body. If you need your perfume to announce your arrival, this is not it.

A bright, verging on jammy rose (but not quite *that* sweet) supported by some short-lived citrus and a very nice cardamom note. It's not listed, but I'm also noticing something savory that I really think is caraway! For all I know, it could be the smell of my shirt, but either way it works well. Sillage is painfully intimate.

Sugary citrus that gives way to a sweet rose. It's jammy, and reminds me of Lush's Rose Jam, but not as heavy. There is a hint of pepper that gives a bit of dry spice. The cardamom is hard to discern at first but appears in the drydown. Smells like a spiced rose hard candy.

This is all soapy rose on me. I don’t get any citrus! I do like it, and it’s pretty strong and long lasting on me, but the soapy-ness (cardamom?) is getting a little old now that I’ve had it on all day.

A bright, citrusy rose. It's giving me major shampoo vibes (rose shampoo if that's a thing), but not in a bad way. I can see this being a super well-liked compliment-getting fragrance.

Let me tell you, i'm not a big fan of rose, mostly because it tends to give me headaches, but this one is really well done. It's a citrusy rose with spices, very delicious

This is a nice fresh rose and I get that slight doll head scent.

I just sampled Adone by Agatho last night and then Une Rose this morning, and there’s definitely similarities between the two. Both use the same kind of sweet rose, geranium, and grapefruit that give off shampoo vibes. However, Adone projects more and has other flowers like lily in the mix. Une Rose is much more intimate, quieter. Une Rose is also about $100 cheaper. I loved Adone, I love this. But I’m wondering if I will get annoyed at how low key and unassuming it is. I like to be reminded that I’m smelling perfume when I’m wearing it. So far, about an hour in Une Rose is doing a pretty good job with its intimate projection. I might spring for a bottle of this first. Lovely, fresh and sweet rose with sparkle from grapefruit and high end shampoo vibes is what I’m getting and I’m here for it.

Smells sweet, a little jammy, with muted spice. It's maybe a bit sweet for my taste. It definitely has an herbal, vegetal edge that smells like dill to me. That same dill note I get from LL Santal and kinda kills it for me. Same here. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. But, it definitely is a more interesting rose. Reminds me a bit of TDC Kashan Rose with a side of pickles.

A banal and common cassis-spicy-rose. it is not a single rose.

Where is the rose? All i smell is pink pepper and geranium

I purchased a full bottle after attending a masterclass on Obvious with Osswald’s in NYC. This is an easy reach and very inoffensive. I think easy to layer with other perfumes, which was the idea. To me, I smell mostly rose. But a sweet fresh rose-not sweet and syrupy or jammy. It does have a bit of depth to it but I really cannot pick out any of the other notes exactly. I like the concept of the company and the packaging but this perfume is pretty linear. It’s great for spring and summer and def could wear and not offend anyone.

Fresh, zesty rose without sharp edges or heavy notes. Nothing spectacular but wearable and feminine although on a male it can get a very interesting twist. I agree that this could be a less heavy take on Delina exclusif - which I like but at the same time it sticks with me cloyingly the whole day and sometimes I just do not need that + pear makes it very girly girl sweet. Une Rose is classier, less loud well balanced Delinas's cousin.

A fruity and lightly spiced rose. It's pleasantly fresh, but it is really simple. Wear it for a daytime outing or an office-safe scent. Not much else to say on this!

Fresh rose. Light in performance. Not too complex. For this style I think diptoque’s Eau rose edp is worth the trade up.

Fresh rose with some salty background (sandalwood maybe). Nice summer scent.
