Ocean Pacific for Men

quite a strong woody opening that almost reminds me of fresh mulch, very spicy-cedar with a touch of earthiness from patchouli then a surprisingly rich and mellow leather-amber drydown that is like the sort of heat that rises from a mulch pile. So not the exact smell per say, but like the impression of a mulch pile. An aromatic start with bergamot and lavender gives it a classic feel, and keeps it from being brash or rugged. nice presence and well-lasting.

Great juice..very similar to Davidoff Davidoff for men and Vermeil pour homme...70' 80' fougère style.

Woody & leather scent. Feel very masculine. Great value of money. I've got 6 hour longevity. 8/10

This is not bad at all. The bottle is really quite creative - the thick blue fluid trapped between the inner and outer walls, give it an effect a bit like a lava lamp. The bottle really does not give a hint of what to expect when you actually smell the fragrance itself. It starts of with the camphorousness of lavender and the sweetness of fruit. This is overlayed onto cedar and cypress. The woods have an almost peppery aspect to them. As it dries down the floral heart is revealed. To me it is reminiscent of Oxygene by Lanvin crossed with Arpege pour Homme. The patchouli is quite gentle and as such it is quite a smooth offering. On me the longevity is not great, however, it has been 38 degrees C with about 50% humidity the last few days: it would be interesting to try it in winter. I picked up 2.5 oz (75 mL) for about $14 Aus, which makes it a great buy.

I will start by saying that this cologne is not bad at all. This is quite a strong cologne, so care should be taken not to over-apply. If you spray more than two or three sprays, you are probably going too far. It's a cologne, not a deodorant. For those who are not keen on the use of patchouli in colognes, you may not be into this cologne, for it is a key element of the scent. But overall, the cologne makes for a decent purchase to try out. The visual design of the bottle is also a plus, and even after the bottle is used up it could easily double as a paperweight or a trophy/generally nice decoration to have, thus having many practical uses.

This one is unlike anything I own. Reminds me of a cedar wood deck at first. This a very different men's fragrance. Seems to me like it could worn year round. Very inexpensive and worth the grab, plus the bottle is really neat too. I think I paid $8 for 1.7 oz. A no brainer if you want to try something different.

It's not fresh but not as bad as the bashing it's getting. The bottle design is very cool, the scent is ok and for the price you pay (20-30), you won't go wrong.

This is a very FUN frag! HUGE surprise on the longevity and metamorphosis on this. AMAZING, Blind buy off Fragrancenet clearance for $5 and change. I need to ban myself from that site. Jean-Louis Grauby is the nose on this, and while I'm not familiar with him, his dossier of frags seems to be in line with this Op offering. There is a synth grape, old cork and bitter melon to the initial spray of this. This is DEFINITELY not what you'd think Ocean Pacific would be putting out. I really thought this would be a fey, aquatic Tommy or Nautica type frag with marine and aldehydes popping all over the place. Instead, this is reminiscent of Ho Hang CLUB without the elegance, fine ingredients and masterful proportioning. After that initial synthy, estery fruit burst, dread and regret came over me as I began to get an odd burnt sugar turning to maple syrup and molasses vibe. This is when the sawdusty cedar aggressively pushes through and makes its appearance. Strangely, this settles down into a cold and green leather with a welcome oakmoss base. I love oakmoss... if you don't (as @gtabasso mentioned) this is NOT the scent for you. The middle exposition gave me an immediate "donation pile" reflex, but I am glad I stayed around fore the ride. Certainly not a top shelf frag. Makes me feel youthful without being silly. Next morning.... Hit the collar. You will think you've been partying with vampires. Smoky amazement. Novelty factors in here: 7.4/10 TBH, sig worthy

Oh boy, if you walked into a city alley that is a popular urinal spot you would have the “pleasant” spin on that experience with this fragrance. The opening to this is interesting, it will make you think “hey, this is a hidden potential gem of a fragrance” but then it makes a fast turn into an ugly musky oak moss wood beast! This is strong and clings for a long time. For the price it performs really well, and the bottle and package is really very nice. This feels very 70s and 80s powerhouse and I can’t recommend wearing this in public. It has so much going on, frag heads will appreciate what was done here (I do) but it is not for the faint of heart. So sorry, this will just be a decorative bottle for me.

i had it back when it just came out , used to give me headache, used it once or twice after that it was sittin on the shelf collecting dust . just how it was for me needless to say i wouldnt blind buy this in a million years

oakmoss, bitter, some lavender and bergamot, vetiver, cypress and maybe a hint of leather and musk; the oakmoss kills it for me. I wear men's fragrances and hate this one and wouldn't want to smell it on a man.It is ugly.

Why was this made for the Ocean Pacific crowd in 2003? It has a VERY vintage scent profile in general never mind for almost anyone who would shop there. Bottle is very cool though.

Top note reminds me of the opening of Horizon. 90's sharpness/ It's definitely 'not' 'Aquatic' at all. It's not my favorite at all. pretty bottle.

This might be the biggest swerve in fragrance marketing history. The brand? Ocean Pacific. The image? Uh... ocean... stuff. The look of the bottle? Cool blue. But the juice inside? Ugh. Dated and dusty. Not clean, not refreshing, not crisp, not blue, not anything good. It really isn't far off from original English Leather (terrible). You could also say that it's very similar to Nautica Classic in that it has that same wretched, burnt butterscotch-ish opening note. After about an hour it does settle down to something I could begrudgingly say I don't hate but it's a long hour. Glad I got it ultra-cheap from FN because this one is going straight to Goodwill. If you decide to roll the dice, don't say you weren't warned.

My female boss came screaming "Is it you who smells so good?!" Yes it was. But make no mistake. This one is nothing like a watery or ocean-like scent. No it ́s so woody you can ́t imagine. It ́s like an old ships deck. I can hear the Captain screaming "Styles, coil those cables down now or you ́ll be keelhauld!" Very underrated or maybe even an unknown scent.

greetings from puerto rico,usa! i was scent shopping today with my wife and we came across this gem, i spritzed it on my wrist and my gosh this blew me and my wife away. verrrry unique.not expensive at all and got a good 9 hour durability. try it and see(smell).ciao

Love this - found it in the women's section of Marshalls-where I see many men's colognes. It is deep and heavy and impressive. Not bad for an inexpensive scent. Like previous comment -I agree- the bottle is really cool
