Ocean Pacific for Women

Ocean Pacific is a lighter floral with an Oriental musk touch to it. It's not distinctive or wild but just smells like a traditional perfume. I found a good deal on two small bottles of it . It has a nice sturdy plastic bottle in the 1 oz size that is easy to take with you. At first it was floral but it fades into a soft amber woods sort of scent on your skin after a few hours. I liked that too . It isn't too strong with the floral part, just nice. It never gets sharp or too sweet and doesn't have one note that comes on too strong. I thought it would smell like the ocean but it's just a nice easy to wear perfume. I live near the Pacific Ocean and I could picture wearing this on a trip to the beach. It doesn't get overwhelming with the perfume smell and wouldn't be offensive to the other passengers in the car. I think the plastic bottle is too different so it didn't sell well. You can get a really good price on it and it's not a "stinker" that they are trying to get rid of quickly.

This is one of the pure floral fragrances without being mono dimensional...No sexy, no seducing, but really feminine... None of the listed notes I've detected alone but it's right that the florals are so well blended(and that's almost a masterpiece for me as a four season perfume). Highly recommended for floral fans...

This is the ONE perfume that I horde. I hide it from my teenager daughters in my bathroom drawer as it is such a favorite of mine. I bought it for my sister for her b-day and she fell in love with it as well.

I totally disagree with some of the reviewers here, such as Ellebelle84, torkwan, etc, who have criticized this perfume for smelling old lady'ish, cheap, etc. For one thing, what exactly does an old lady smell like and does every single old lady smell the same, regardless of their personality, skin type, geographical location, etc? This has been gone over in other reviews for other perfumes on here and I personally find the use of the 'old lady' criticism of any perfume offensive. I think reviewers who feel the need to use such potentially offensive descriptions and references really should broaden their intellect a little and come up with something less offensive, sneering and more informative. As for this particular perfume, personally I find it to be quite fresh, clean, quite girly (definitely NOT decrepit and OLD!) and, as tuntun787 said, there's also something a bit tropical smelling about it, which makes it more interesting than a lot of the bland, more generic, florals out there. So, personally I like this perfume, I think it smells more expensive than it is (again, unlike at least one other reviewer here who claims it smells cheap!) PLUS it lasts forever on me, making me smell fresh and nice all day and night. Can't really go wrong, but it's a shame it's not more readily available (although conversely maybe that's a positive because I really don't want to smell like every other woman!). For the record, I'm not an old lady and am more than happily wearing this today and enjoying the little whiffs of it that I get when I'm moving around, and it suits this warm, quite humid weather very nicely! It also goes quite nicely layered with a spritz of OP Juice as well as they seem to complement each other nicely.

I'm surprised there are so many negative comments about this perfume. I also find it odd that some women have described it as 'old lady-esque', overpowering or 'a big failure in the Ocean Pacific collection.' In my opinion it's actually very girly and 'pink' smelling, a fresh and clean smelling fruity / floral (that smells slightly tropical to me!), it's not overpowering at all and is definitely not a failure in the Ocean Pacific collection! Also, I really like the bottle, which is very unusual and pretty. I can definitely recommend this perfume as it smells lovely, it seems to be a bit of a man magnet (which can be a good thing - depending on the man, of course!) and the price isn't bad either! Having said that, it seems to be very hard to track down so I'm not sure if it's been discontinued but I really hope it hasn't because I'd like to keep a bottle of it in my collection for as long as is humanly possible!

Ocean Pacific was an impulse purchase for me because I thought the bottle was cool. It's not a complex fragrance. The opening is very floral. I did not find it to be overwhelming, but it is a watery type of floral so it isn't unpleasant, but it's not anything original. It also seems to have a hint of raspberries to me. The drydown of the fragrance just smells soapy and clean. Overall, it's a good casual summer activity type of fragrance. Ocean Pacific for Women is nothing groundbreaking, but it's pleasant enough.

My impression is that Ocean Pacific is not "pure floral". To me this is an Oriental floral. It must be the musk. I really like it because it holds and is very reasonable. It has a quick dry down. I think this one would be good for any season. Now the OP Juice is another story. It is very mild and meant for hot weather. Ocean Pacific is my favorite of the two. Sometimes I spritz OP Juice all over me and then add Ocean Pacific to my pulse points.

This perfume is nothing special. It's just a very basic,non offensive,run of the mill fruity/sweet scent. The projection and lasting power are pretty horrendous. It's legit gone on my skin with 30 minnutes of spraying. I am not one of those people who constantly like to reapply. The only upside to this fragrance, is the price. It's very inexpensive. It's not for me. I love big and bold fragrances,this ain't it. If you happen to want a non offensive,weak scent, that won't bother people or give them a headache,then this is a great choice.

Ocean Pacific for Women smells like someone dropped a bottle of dirty musky granny perfume in a box of fruity pebbles cereal, shook it up, and poured it in a pretty bottle. Magnolia is a deep heavy floral and adding musk with white amber makes it over powering and old smelling. Honeysuckle, hibiscus and water lily are all light sweet florals and are beautiful when they are not mixed in with magnolia and musk. This fragrance is a big failure in the Ocean Pacific collection. Dislike!

Ocean Pacific suprised me a little. I was expecting a beachy type fragrance. You know, like ocean, salt air, with the slight hint of tropical flowers? However, what I'v discovered, was a very nicely blended floral with a bit of a tropical feel. For me, Honeysuckle is the only note that might seem to stand out slightly, with the musk and white amber creating a nice balance between floral sweetness and slight, warm, earthiness. Ocean Pacific for Women is clean, casual and pretty, and though it has good staying power and projection, (IMO) comes off less like a perfume and more like a really great smelling body lotion, which makes it perfect for every day wear.

I bought this senior year of high school, used it once and haven't touched it again since. It's been 5 years and I was able to get rid of it recently. I wanted to like it, but I really really hated it, to be quite honest. It smells so old--like a great grandmother with WAY too much perfume. It's not sexy, it's not cute, it's not endearing, just BLAH. I feel really bad dissing it because I loved the other OP one with the gelly bottle so much, but really...just no.

Smells unimpressive and old lady-esque. I can appreciate a quality floral when I smell it, but this my friends, is not one of those. Its synthetic and smells cheap. No thanks.

It has long lasting power but it doesn't really smell like anything like some watered down flowers.Bottle is cool good for a teenager.

I think this perfume smells very floral and also tropical. I purchased it only once but it was good. The men's scent is very citrusy.
