Coup de Pied

coup de pied is for the ultimate it-girl, who has heads turning as they pass. this fragrance is a beautifully crafted tribute to vanilla, but it’s so much more than that. the heart of the fragrance is definitely the incense which gives the ultimate sensual factor but keeps your angelic aura shining this fragrance is perfectly balanced by hints of warm amber, a deep balsamic resin and a touch of custard, sweet and sultry, slightly mysterious- this combination provides a warm, enveloping finish that is both comforting and alluring. one of the standout features is its impressive longevity that can easily last six to eight hours on the skin, evolving beautifully over time and leaves a captivating trail without being overpowering, making it perfect for both intimate settings and day-to-day wear one of my staples after only owning it for a couple weeks and i can’t go without it!!

Sweet, resinous, warm, slightly spicy--this is a very pretty scent. The opening smells a bit like coca-cola, and then the incense shines through and remains. It doesn't really project, but you'll have a sweet aura (very close) around you. To me the dry down smells exactly like Henry Rose's Dark is Night, which opens more bold than this one, and based on the "reminds me of" section this fragrance definitely falls into a not entirely unique family. But I love, love the aesthetic of this brand and happy to support a more niche perfumer.

a surprising favorite of mine! it's sweet, bubbly in the joyful sense- this fragrance reminds me of a beaming little dancer with marigold shoes. it's semi spicy; the balsamic notes intermingle with the sweeter notes so nicely, though it dries down more woody than vanilla on me. i have never seen the movie la la land but i imagine that this is what the girl in the yellow dress smells like. i need this intensified–it makes me feel like dancing! sandalwood i will always love you

I am in love. Another hit from Odette for me. After loving pas de chat I was excited to get my hands on this. It smells like how I imagine the backstage of Phantom Of The Opera would be. Dusty, vintage sandalwood beams, loads of people getting in costume (musk) and having something they picked up from the local bakery (custard.) Very addicting.

What a sweet mystery ✩+ ̊.⋆☾⋆++✧ I've never smelled anything quite like this before– captures the essence of bittersweet. The spice is reminiscent of cello bow rosin. Sweetness, like Crème brûlée after it was just lit. Yet another nostalgic Odette perfume for me. Give me them all!!!!

Finally found the perfect vanilla custard perfume!

I didn’t really know what to expect even after reading the notes on this perfume. However every note listed played as equally strong as the next. This is a gourmand perfume with a surprising smokey incense punch! It smells like eating custard with freshly lit incense. The frankincense also is easy to pick out and adds a magical quality to it. Alongside this the sandalwood plays along creating a nice bridge between the two different notes. I think this is a lovely scent but one that’s not for me. If you are a gourmand lover and an incense lover though this one is for you!

Like eating almonds pastries in a church. There’s a bit of sweetness, some incense. There’s a synthetic undertone that doesn’t sit super well with me, but it’s still nice.

Warm woody spicy gourmand. Smooth, but the opening spray definitely has a kick.

creamy, smoky vanilla pretty strong sandalwood, leans more unisex imo

A floral-sandalwood vanilla with warm honey undertones. It’s effortlessly wearable and well-balanced, making it the most everyday-friendly of the bunch. While not my personal favorite, it’s incredibly easygoing.

When I first sprayed this, it took my breathe away. I am not a gourmand girlie but wanted to try the brand and got another Oddette perfume (Petite Gateau, to remind me of eating chestnut crepes in Montemartre) where this was one of the free samples included and I hated myself for picking the wrong Odette fragrance. Luckily my birthday was soon and I was able to receive this one shortly after as a birthday gift. This is the most intoxicating, addictive, devine gourmand-incense. The custard note is super unusual and has an Advocat (alcohol) and lemonade effect (sparkling) with the most beautiful and unusual mystical incense smell. If you are an incense lover and are going to blind buy any of these, make sure it is this one first. I've tested most of these now and this one is next level top tier perfume artistry and it has so much more to offer than the other gourmand ones (which are still stunning but this one is MIND-BLOWING). Only downside is that I can dowse myself in this and it's a barely-there whisper by hours which is a shame but this isn't stupid priced like other perfumes so doesn't hurt the soul or wallet as bad. Think a custard treat in magical monte-martre under twinkling fairy lights in one of those cafes that has the bunch of flowering plants falling from the roof and theres an electrical magical charge in the air. You can smell pure church incense wafting from the Basilica in the air and it is twilight. There is a musician in the artists alley playing Edith Pfiafs' La foule and the notes are also being carried by the wind. I think this is the only gourmand I will ever only repurchase.

the first time I wore Coup de Pied, I was incredibly moved. It swept me strongly back to growing up with my older sister who in essence and truth is my favorite human in this life. She mothered and nurtured me and shaped me into the person I am today. I owe so much of my tenderness and big open heart to her generous and lavish love. This perfume specifically pulls me to moments after school when she would light her incense cones and pull out body lotion (always vanilla) and lather it on. It smells like this memory so acutely and reminds me so deeply of her essence, I can’t not feel completely moved when I smell this. I instantly knew I need to get a full size of this one day, it’s so beautiful. The vanilla in this is warm like pages from a beloved book heated up late at night by a bedside lamp.

i got a sample of this because it sounded so interesting. ,,coup de pied" is a ballett position and i just wonderd what it smells like. sadly, i absolutely hate it. immediatly made me nauseaus. its so thick and lingers everywhere. smells like the colour brown, a bit like violins and a balmy - church like scent, but also expremely sweet and pungent, idk its a big no for me

Creamy fluffy clouds of sweet incense and resinous woods. It reminds me of the ballet shoe rock rosin. Which is a yellowish rock crystal used for pointe shoes. I imagine if you heated this under a candle it would produce this smell. It has golden feel. Honeyed and sweet yet smoky. My favorite so far from them brand. Look forward to what they do next.

eating creamy custard on a summer night while you light incense and sandalwood. opening and mid are fantastically creamy and smoky vanilla, but the drydown leaves me with lots of javenol (sandalwood molecule), which doesn’t agree to my nose. I have received multiple compliments, and it has beautiful lasting power

spicy, resinous opening. then the incense comes in and is followed up by a pepper-y quality. eventually it calms down into a gentler, sweeter vanilla with a touch of resin.
