Fée du Sucre

This. Is so. Pretty. I put it on and immediately felt the urge to put my hair up and slip on a ribbon choker. It’s so light and airy and sweet but also warm and sexy. It’s grown up but youthful at the same time. This perfume is the Sugar Plum Fairy but in glittery fishnets, a Black minidress, and a silk cardigan; giggling with her fairy friends on their way to a Spring Equinox party in Sugar Plum Orchard. She’s carrying a bag of sugar plum marshmallows in one hand to toast over the bonfire and a rose gold flask filled with a shimmering fairy plum liqueur in her little beaded purse. The bonfire smells like delicate cinnamon pastries and casts a rose gold glow with amethyst shadows. The sky is a pink and lilac sunset and the nip in the air is giggly and effervescent. The throw is a lovely bubble within arms length and this little beauty lasts for a good 10 hours. I’m really excited about this perfume and this house 💗🍰✨🩰🦋🧁

Fée du Sucre is exactly what I always imagined the sugar plum would smell like. It radiates sweet-girl energy and I don’t know how anyone could not want to indulge in this fragrance! The vibe is- patisserie with twinkling fairy lights in the windows. Putting on your softest legwarmers and dancing in the studio during a snowstorm. Winding up a music box and applying glitter eyeshadow while it plays. It goes on spicy and sweet but softens out to a warm jammy scent. It lingers with a sparkling fluffy marshmallow. Not too sweet- but you will definitely smell délicieux! Thank you Odette for restocking this fragrance! I will cherish it together with my sweet Nutcracker memories!

If a sugar plum fairy had a scent this would be it!!! Light and airy spiced cake with with ribbons of plum jam. There’s a lightness and effervescence to this fragrance that comes from the pearl sugar note. I absolutely adore this perfume!! So glad I blind bought a 30ml and I bought a 100 ml partial bottle off a fragrance group friend bc I never want to be without this scent!! The epitome of an ethereal fairy princess!!

Fée du Sucre is so ethereal. This fragrance is exactly what I imagine a sugar plum fairy to smell like. It smells like a perfectly spiced cake with plum jam and caramel frosting. Every time I wear it I feel magical. It makes me want to dance ballet under the moonlight while snow softly falls and the stars are twinkling.

I adore this sweet sugar plum fairy scent. I've tired of most gourmands, I don't want to smell like a birthday cake, and yet Odette makes gourmand feel chic, graceful, and understatedly beautiful. She's a brilliant perfumer and one to watch. This and Petit Gateau are my absolute favorites from her line (so far!).

Like a sugar plum pastry, with a light sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. It’s just sweet enough like it’s been topped with powdered sugar. Exactly what I was hoping for!

Very almond forward on my skin. It almost smells like a really good cherry bakewell.

I had no idea what to expect from this scent, but I definitely get the sugar plum fairy association. I mainly get a mix of cinnamon, blackcurrant and plum with macaroon and cake notes in the background. It’s sweet but not too sweet. This weirdly reminds me of being 5 years old, putting on my ballet costume and cardboard glitter crown to perform on stage with the rest of my uncoordinated dance class. It reminds me of 80’s wind up jewellery boxes with the sound of Tchaikovsky's Swann Lake playing, and the little spinning ballerina inside. I love it.

I like this perfume, but I'm not getting the majority of the notes listed or whatever other reviewers are smelling. I smell spice. I would have sworn that there was a pink pepper note or some other kind of spice, but I guess it's the cinnamon. That's about all I smell: cinnamon and amber. I don't get pastry, cake, caramel, or sugar. I maybe detect something fruity in the background, but couldn't tell you what kind. Odette describes this as a gourmand and Fragrantica's description fits better in my opinion: oriental.

Fluffy and feminine, doesn’t smell directly like food but associations come to mind (mostly jam tarts, lol) its delicious and addictive but very wearable

jammy toaster strudel sprinkled in cinnamon sugar and consumed at the crack of dawn. hell, might as well finish the leftover raspberry swirl cheesecake sitting in your fridge. the scent trail of a non-descript yankee candle burning in another room follows, gently. a gourmand of this gravitas demands an appropriately corresponding silage. do not mistake me: i speak nothing of the quote-unquote beast mode. never that. fée du sucre, unfortunately, tips the scales too heavily in the opposite direction. aside from the initial blast, i have to press nose to skin for me to pick up on anything intelligible. after a night's rest i become one with caramel, albeit intimately. generally, i have no issue re-spraying. but when a (seemingly) limited edition offering comes exclusively in a 30 ml bottle i cannot help but be more conservative with my usage. may not be a deal-breaker for some, but it is a disappointment for me.

For anyone curious about duping this fragrance, this is basically a softer version of Sugar Addict by BTSO. Was a tad disappointed to learn I bought a less-potent back-up of a fragrance I've stopped wearing, but ce la vie!

Beautiful spiced cake with a burst of plum jam. I decided to blind buy a 30 ml because I just love this brand so much and it definitely paid off. This is such a comforting and beautiful winter scent that I will wear every year to the nutcracker from this point forward. 🩰💗
