Grand Battement

Starts off almondy but a soft almond, not a sweet amaretto. Now hours my hand smells like vanilla. I think the sillage is moderate but it has lasted on my skin for about eight hours. Bought a bottle at Immortal Perfumes in Seattle. A lovely fragrance that men can wear too.

Fig Newtons is correct; in an attractive way. A nice unisex amber. My strongest sample from Odette.

Not my usual fragrance profile, but undeniably captivating. Spiced frangipane, caramelized fig, and golden amber blend into something that feels like a love potion. It reminds me so strongly of my last visit to my home country, but I can’t quite place why. The patchouli adds a refreshing lift. I need to show this to my best friend—I feel like it’s so her.

Tonka and Patchouli jumped at me immediately. I caught the fig and musk as well. Unfortunately, I quickly went nose blind to it. I imagine a good unisex autumn / winter scent.

Creamy spiced woodiness. At first I smell the almonds and spices, (black pepper?) on a dark base which is what I assume would be the tobacco and patchouli, with some creaminess running through it all (amber could be the creaminess but it is like a subtle frosting cream). Nice but nothing super special for me. I do love this brand though so i'm not poo-pooing it at all, but coming off of smelling Coup di pied, which swept me off my feet, it is hard for the others to live up to how much magical and how much I LOVE that one.

An incredible piece of work, as is every fragrance I’ve tried from this perfumer. This gives me protective and nurturing big sister vibes. It’s giving a boozy vanilla with just a touch of sentimental creaminess. I can picture snacking on fig newtons from a night feast on a table where it’s been rubbed on just slightly by the buttercream frosted cupcakes sitting just next to them. It evokes images of pearl necklaces and satin gloves and hot sensuous breathless kisses. I feel swept off my feet.

It brings tears to my eyes as I write this, as the curtains close on summer—a season that transcends space and time. This scent is crafted for those who cherish cozy summer nights, dancing with a loved one, sipping a spicy fig drink and eating cake, under the stars. Everyone around you smokes, enveloping the air. Take the moment in and exhale! "Wow, this is what dreams are made of." What a beautiful way to commemorate the summer as it draws to a close.💘

a scent fit for a masquerade ball. I feel like I just slipped off my satin glove to put a sugary spiced stewed fig in the mouth of my lover. perfectly gender neutral, anyone could wear this to a dimly lit evening event to be the most bodacious in the room

A little vintage smelling, nice vanilla note, dry fruit notes....but there is a heavy musk and synthethic amber. Sweet vanilla and fig notes drowning in a harsh base. Better than other things I have tried lately but still nothing I would wear.
