Linfedele Haiku

This is a soft resinous somewhat medicinal calming scent on me. The resins remind me more of turpentine than pine. Underneath I can detect a rather pungent accord but wasn't able to pick out the individual notes myself. It does make me think of Oriental understated opulence. I love the way it smells with fresh scent from the movement of my body and clothes. I find this a fascinating perfume, and love wearing it. Although it stays close to the skin, longevity about 4 - 5 hrs. for me. Not only is it unusual, Haiku is lovely and elegant in a clean, sparse way. Update - let a friend wear this out one night, and the smell coming off his body and clothes was amazing. He got compliments all night for it.

I agree, by and large with Colin M's review below. This one thrives on contrasting notes, exuding the usual O'Driu's herbalist tincture smell, with a contrasting resinous/petroleum tonality. It is original and very interesting, the kind of fragrance I would rush out and buy. I just wish it was a little bit stronger and longer lasting. All in all, I still can't make up my mind whether this goes on to my wish list/shopping list or not.

I agree with Colin Maillard's and miracleborgtech's reviews. I love Linfedele Haiku. It's luxurious and elegant, deliciously appealing. And it smells so good on my husband. Mmmm....gorgeous. It is pungent, and opulent, and delicious. And I get many many compliments, and so does he. It's brilliant.

All the ingredients here work well together to create a big old mess! Just down right nasty.. and not in a good way. All I smell is old stuff, not old-fashion - just plain old. Old books, old boxes, old furniture, old animals. But if you are into that kinda smells - might be perfect for you! I strongly doubt it thought. It looks like Colin Maillard below and I are on different planets on this one.

...And this is why you shouldn't blind buy fragrances $200 and above. Simple and plain, this is too weird to make sense of it. Actually, Colin isn't wrong in his description of this bizarre fragrance but i side more with Vasjan's account. I find this fragrance to be rather unnecessary unless you don't mind the bulky notes. Every ingredient is detectable hence making this a well made fragrance...but who is the intended audience? Without looking at the note list, i quickly detect some serious patchouli and myrhh. The result was an opening reminiscent of Dax hair grease. Minutes later, i was being teased with a strong note of something that smells like anise but not for long. The ending result is an avant garde perfume that smells like a freshly paved highway.

ouch.... the first spray is like a hard slap in the face! the Castoreum, Cardamon, and extreme incense creates that awful smell. after a minute it calms a bit introducing the Geranium & the grapefruit clearly with a hint of incense, & black pepper which is quite interesting. as it calms a bit more (around 5 minutes) the juice turns a bit around raising up the incense with a background of grapefruit and a hint of coffee & gives the soapy effect quite allot. no mate or soybean, and definitely no vanilla, or myrrah yet. the Castoreum vanished from the first minute and to be honest i can really smell the light version of Grand Cuir by retro in the dry down, it's quite shown clearly with more grapefruit here.
