Pathetique

پثِتیک یه کار عمیق و باشکوهه که دوست داشتنش سادست و نگاه گسترده تری داره. حرکت پراگانی در مسیر مارکته؛ اما این بدین معنا نیست که خبری از اون روح شورشی و نامتعارف کارای اودریو در این کار نخواهد بود. پثتیک همچنان نشانه هایی از طغیان و خاص بودن رو در خودش داره و به زیبایی اونا رو در پوششی فاخر و شیک ارائه داده که همچنان خاص بودن و شنا برخلاف جریان آب رو به نمایش میذاره؛ اما قابلیت پذیرفته شدن رو هم با خودش داره. عطر با فضای تلخ دارویی- آزمایشگاهی تاریکی باز میشه که به زیبایی وارد فضایی خاکی- فلفلی میشه تا این ترکیب ویژه و خاص که حالتی فلفلی- دارویی و خشک داره؛ شروع خاص و نامتعارفی رو برای کار رقم بزنن که المانهایی از یه سری کارای قدیمی تر آنجلو رو با خودش داره. فضای اسپایسی- دارویی به مرور در پوششی لطیف و درخشان از توت اُرس و بنفشه فرو میره تا مثل شخصیتی طاغی و آرمانگرا باشه که بنابه اقتضاء در پوششی که عرف و مرسوم هست ظاهر میشه. پوششی که فاخر و درخشان و نابه و همچنان نشانه هایی از همون شخصیت خاص رو نمایش میده. این فضای زیبای شکل گرفته از همراهی تازگی و طراوت جانیپر و بنفشه از یکسو و همراهی فلفل و فضای دارویی- آزمایشگاهی از سوی دیگر، کنتراست جالبی رو بوجود آوردن. فضایی که از همون ابتدای تشکیلش داشت اعلام می کرد: بر خواهیم گشت! از جبهه ی بنفشه- جانیپر، خنکایی حاشیه نشین بجا می مونه تا فضای اسپایسی؛ عطر رو به قلبی دودی- چوبی و خاکستر گرفته پیوند بزنه تا باز هم اون شخصیت یاغی و مهار نشدنی برگرده و پثِتیک به عطری دودی، خاکستری، چوبی و اسپایسی تبدیل بشه که نمایش طبیعی و ملموسی از دود و خاکستر چوب با پس زمینه ای لطیف و درخشان به اجرا بذارن. با حفظ همین شخصیت چوبی، دودی و خاکستری، با ورود توبر و پس زمینه ای شکلاتی و کمی شیرین، عطر وارد پایه ی خودش میشه. بخش پایانی نمایش پثتیک، همچنان پیچیده، قدرتمند و جذابه. فضایی خاکی، دودی- خاکسترگرفته، کمی شیرین با حالتی درخشان و گیاهی که بسیار ظریف و هنرمندانه در حاشیه ی جریان اصلی بکار گرفته شده. پثتیک عبوری عمیق، آرام و پر از افکار پیچیده و بدیع از میون هیاهوی رنگ و نور و مد و سلبریتی هاست که به ظاهر هم رنگ جماعت شده؛ اما در باطن خودش شخصیتی مقتدر و سازش ناپذیر داره که از آنچه رنگ تعلق پذیرد؛ آزاد است... عطری که دوست داشتنش کار سختی نیست و فقط باید از رنگها و جنجالها کمی فاصله گرفت. موندگاری 4 تا 5 ساعته با نشری متوسط و کیفیتی بی نظیر! کامنت: م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

A few initial impressions. I've not read the notes list so my read on it is purely what it's saying to me (ie I'm probably way off), but here goes. The whole thing reminds me of a balance of various skin care products (Not a negative), the opening of rich cocao butter laced and white floral body soufflé. There is a green leafy note running though that keeps it from getting puddingy. As it progresses into the heart it reminds me of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse dry body oil and also of old school sun tanning oil, with a little oily coconut. The drydown takes these elements attenuated and adds a white musk, later fading to a plasticy ambered late drydown. Projection, longevity etc are all outstanding. I was initially a little surprised as it's a different tact from most of what I've tried re O'Driu, but it makes sense as continuation of the path Eva Kant wandered down. In terms of imagery I can't escape Audrey Hepburn and co sur la plage on the Cote d'Azure, all oiled up with the sun beating down, sun loungers out and parasols nodding in the light breeze. I wasn't sure what to think at first, but this is basically the perfect ode to an idealised beach life scent. It's like the anti-O'driu, this may sound pathetic but it's wonderfully done, great stuff.

Right from the beginning Pathétique is an explosion for the senses. Very strong, captivating and daring. It challenged me a bit for its obvious similarity to those suntan lotions, not only in smell (coconut, a bit plastic, sweet and metallic...a bit chemical as in radioactive!) but also in feel... very OILY, highly persistent and bordering on nose tiring if you're not aware and spray with abandon. It doesn't decrease for the first part and you wonder what you sprayed on you as it definitely transports you to a beach, your body fully oiled and no way to escape even being outdoors. That is my only word of precaution as you will fall in love with Pathétique if you like the idea it brings to life. I can see the gourmand part as the cocoa element is very persistent as well but blended into a bombastic drydown that combines it so well with something animalic I cannot name but it is there and it makes this potion enigmatic and sensual too. Don't think of desserts or cakes as this takes another path. Some days I am totally smitten, some other days I feel rather uneasy wearing this but there is no doubt it is very original, well thought and with monster sillage and longevity. A must try for winter and open spaces. Just don't overspray!!

It is called patwthiqie but for me this is a wonderful perfume. O'driu is becoming one of my favourite brands and Angelo Orazio pregoni one of the BEST perfumists for me. This is probably one of odriu's perfumes that the less fit with me. I LOVE the banana&coffee os italian censored, the lemon cake un Eva Kant or the balsámic tangerine un cin4. In pathetique we can find a drier perfume with the juniper and the Green vine of the vetiver and the Moss. But at the same time It shares with the other perfumes of the perfumist s nice balsámic background, un this case with the incense as main ingredient. Therefore this is an incense-juniper perfume but under the o'driu character. It makes me think of some perfumes by amouage. The performance, as most perfumes of the mrand that i have tried, is just amazing. The longevity is great, the sillage is moderate but enough and noticeable for a long time and the quality of the ingredients is very good. Wow! Blind bought this and it doesn't disappoint. Green, smoky and earthy. The truffle is balanced with lots of aromatic notes and incense. I detect resinous notes in the background but nothing is listed. They add a warmth. It's not harsh in anyway or cold. The amyris and mimosa might be adding that soft honeyed sweetness. I now realise that this reminds me a bit of Zoologist Moth but I can wear this unlike Moth. It's still a unique and eccentric scent which matches my character fine. It also conjures up images from Tolkeins tomes. A magical world that has beauty, excitement, darkness and sorrow in equal measure. The further you go down the timeline the more green it becomes. The oakmoss is more evident but that dry sweetness never vanishes altogether. Good longevity and sillage. It's unisex.

Gorgeous. It's a gorgeous perfume, Pathetique. Beautifully feminine; just my cup of tea. A beautiful milky, fruity, smoky, dry and moist both at different times, incensey, herby, smooth, rich, gentle, creamy, strong, chocolatey, warm, woody, oriental perfume. Love it, it lasts forever, and my husband and friends also love it. It's one of my favourite perfumes. Beautiful. Very very elegant. And I adore the bottle.

This scent reminds me so much of a holiday I took in Croatia, on the Dalmatian coast. The islands are absolutely covered with juniper, rosemary bushes and cypress trees. That's exactly what I get here. The bracing scent of juniper and warm cypress, carried on to the beach by a welcome breeze. It smells hot and sunny, brusque and enlivening. However, when I concentrate, I do pick up on the slightest touch of something dark and greasy buried beneath the aromatic woodiness, which sort of skews the lovely panorama image I've painted above. It's not strong, but as much as I'm impressed by the rest of it, that strange oily note would put me off buying a bottle.

For a while, it's straight-up leather, (I'm guessing that must be the orris root), but not badly executed. Then the dry down is more interesting. I think it leans slightly more masuline. The dry-down is better than the initial hour or so.

I had a strange experience with this one. I had a sample to play with and obsessed over it, to the point I had to have a bottle. I've literally worn it once since. Sometimes I pick it up and sniff, and I put it back down. I just find it too heavy and dark for my purposes, which is weird given all the comparisons to suntan lotion.

I love some of the older O’Driu scents, and I can appreciate the populist direction-shift he’s taken, but this one’s not up to much. It’s a woody, balmy, chocolate scent that feels like less substantial version of Ore. There are medicinal facets that sneak through, and something distinctly grassy — which serves as an odd contrast to the cocoa (which dominates) — but that’s really all there is to it. It dries down to a semi-mossy, vetiver affair that smells a tad chlorinated. And somehow (not sure how), it lasts for an insane amount of time. Overall, it reminds me of those industrial hot cocoa packets you sometimes see by a water-coolers — a sort of not-quite-cocoa kind of effect. So, unless you’re die-hard O’Driu fan (which is understandable given his range), or you’re after a strange, medicinal, almost metallic cocoa, I’d skip this one and maintain hope that he returns to what he does best — apothecary-style animalic stinkers. Characterful, but a far cry from his best work.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Warm, woody, smoky, sweet; even though there’s no vanilla or chocolate in this, that’s what I get – a rich, creamy, smoky chocolate, with the black pepper giving it a kick of heat. The longevity is quite frankly amazing – I put this on at eight in the morning and I could still smell it, clearly, well over twelve hours later, and that was from just one spray. I love how this evolved over the day – that spicy, smoky, chocolaty note became more pronounced as the day wore on, not in an in-your-face way, but rather like sitting in front of the fireplace, with a nice big mug of spiced hot chocolate, and inhaling the fragrant steam. I love it, and given the longevity, I would seriously consider a full bottle at some stage. Thanks to purecaramel for the sample ☺

No this is not a gourmand on my skin. This is what I'd define as the holy grail of oakmoss fragrance. I love the smell of oakmoss but unfortunately it is not very approachable and triggers a lot of allergic reactions. I once had a vial of oakmoss oil that smelled very much so like this. However, in addition to the strong oakmoss, there is a weird rubbery, metallic, licorice like scent accompanying this with a layer of coconut. It's SO strange, this coconut-oakmoss concoction, I can't decide whether I love it or hate it. What I smell: coconut-oakmoss-licorice-woods (pines in particular). This has a retro vibe to it, heavy in nostalgia but with a softness that occasionally comes out as buttery coconut. An oddball, for sure. NOT a safe blind buy by any means.

Pathetique is a semi-gourmand scent that is a perfume for forest fairies to get their sweet tooth satisfied. Black truffle from the forest floor where magic seeps from the earth, blackened woods, mosses, and incense add a mystical quality. All conjoined in a wearable, although avante garde fragrance. Has a smoky chocolate ambiance. An experimental scent, its notes paired with the not often used tuber to create a wonderland for chocolate loving sprites.

umm, now this one is good! initially it's interestingly good..... and where is the fig note? not that sweet and not harsh at all. i can sense as well the honey, and honey wax notes mixed with lime and citrus in general. a lighted version of incense is included. no animalic notes as the previous ones and quite acceptable. after a little while it turned into sparkling lemon with honey wax. needs more tests to define it's position in my collection.
