Satyricon

A strange surreal beauty, Satyricon is a very uncommon offering from the always eclectic house of O'Driu. The perfume is a tribute to the grand decadent days of the Roman empire portrayed so evocatively in the Petronius novel and stylized in the exception film by Federico Fellini. This dense floral gourmand (many similarities to Antonio Gardoni's Noun) starts off with a strong burst of cumin and strange florals (camomilia, begonia, carnations). As it begins to settle one can detect other gourmand notes such as plum and cocoa. Upon complete settling what is left behind is a herbal accord driven primarily by myrrh, sage and cedar with other notes in the background. This is a very bold perfume and intended only for individuals who do not care about any external or peer validation. It is intended to provoke and shock like most of Angelo Orazio's other creations. It however does maintain a strange surreal beauty throughout its stay on the skin and is very evocative of the decadent and bizarre scenario of the Fellini film. Enjoy!

This is quite interesting. No BO at all here in my opinion. It starts with floral/citrusy green vibe and then it becomes a bit more spicy and resinous. There is a strong resemblance to Eva Kant, although this is less sharp and a bit more subdued. Quite interesting.

Ok, I have to be honest in saying that I don't have much experience with O'driu...having only tested this and Det...but I can tell you that if this fragrance were my only experience with this house, um, well I wouldn't be wanting to smell any more. This frag smells like super ripe BODY ODOR....yep, good ol' BO. It's pretty much terrible in my opinion, and I would never want to smell like this. I let my wife get a whiff of it and she recoiled and hit me on the arm and asked why I would let her smell such a thing. Yeah, definitely not one for any romantic situation...or any situation at that, unless you're wanting someone to think you had a really great work out at the gym. Awful stuff...seriously, not good...no bueno!!

خیلیا عنوان کردن که این عطر مشابه "اِوا کانت" هست و در همون فضا جریان داره؛ اما چیزی که بنده از این عطر دریافت کردم؛ فضایی ویژه و تلخ و تاریکه که ردپایی از "اوا کانت" در اون احساس میشه. ساتیریکِن یه آتش سوزی مهیبه، یه جسارت جاه طلبانه و یه داستان پرپیچ و خم و جذاب که اوا کانت در این فضا حضور پیدا میکنه و عطر و اثر حضور خودش رو در اون بجا میذاره؛ اما نتیجه ی کار چیزی فراتر از حد تصوره! حس کثیف و نم زده ی شروع کار؛ نه حیوانیه، نه فِکاله و نه نشانی از اصطبل و طویله داره. این شروع، آغازی شهوانیه که در حد اعلای جسارت و بی پروایی از همراهی زیره ی سبز با بستری گیاهی که خیس و نم زده شده؛ بوجود اومده. تم نم زده ی کثیف، در سبزی غلیظ و تاریک گیاهی محو میشه و این حجم گیاهی سبز با گازوییل به آتش کشیده میشه تا ساتیریکِن وارد فضایی آمیخته از دود و گیاه و تاریکی بشه که ته مایه هایی گازوییل مانند در اون احساس میشه. بعد از دقایقی که این فضای تاریک غلیظ و دودی- گیاهی کمی آروم می گیره؛ لمسی از وانیل- بنزویین پودری و لذیذ خاص اوا کانت به مشام میرسه که لطافت ویژه ای به این فضای تاریک و تلخ میدن. این حس پودری، شکلات و تمی فلورال رو به حاشیه ی کار دعوت میکنن و در فضای دودی- گیاهی غلیظ حاکم بر کار، مر و خاکستر سدر به داستان وارد میشن تا ساتیریکِن آمیختگی نابی بشه از همراهی گیاهان سبز در آتش که دودی غلیظ و تلخ ایجاد میکنن و بوی خاکستر سدر رو هم به همراه دارن؛ تاریکی عظیم و عمیقی که حاشیه ای شکلاتی-وانیلی به زیبایی در اطراف اون جریان داره. ساتیریکِن؛ هیچ شباهتی به اوا کانت نداره مگر در پایه ی کار و البته در ارائه ی مفهومی جاه طلبانه و بی پروا از چالشهای شهوانی. این عطر مثل یه هجو بر افسانه ها هست. جایی که ساتیر شهوتران و سرکش از اعماق تاریخ، بیخود شده از اغواگریهای اوا کانت به سمت قرن بیستم می تازه؛ اما کانت مغرور و دست نیافتنی با لبخندی کشنده این زیاده خواهی رو نظاره میکنه و میدونه که هیچ چیز و هیچکس قادر به شکست دادن اون نیست و غوغای اساطیر و خدایان، هزاران سال پیش در پشت سر جامونده. این یه عطر خاص، عمیق و بزرگه که بی پروا شروع میکنه؛ در تاریکی و دود و خاکستر فرو میره و با حفظ همین شخصیت، حالت صمغی-شکلاتی خاصی به خودش می گیره که بیش از ده ساعت با رایحه افشانی قابل قبول خودش شما رو به چالشی خاص و عالی دعوت میکنه. کامنت: م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

Wow this fragrance really just blew me away. Love some of y’all’s descriptions of this one. I have to say, I get a lot of patchouli from this fragrance. Both the earthy kind and a dusty cocoa powder kind of patchouli. What I pictured smelling this one was standing in a forest with some medium snowfall in front of a campfire that had recently been extinguished and the snow was soaking into the ash and charred wood. That cool earthy incendiary smell along with the rest of the green forest just enveloping everything else about me with dense chocolate just on the other side of that campfire. Absolutely beautiful. Love this fragrance and it’s definitely on my short list for a full bottle.
