This is so good, it's a spicy green saffron, this is a gem, upon trying I bought Stallion Soul Absolute, and will probably buy the rest of the absolute range, finances permitting. Its just dream for layering, or on it's own.

Oh, this is a love. I didn't read the notes very closely before testing it, but now that I have, I'm not surprised at all that it's for me. It has oud, guiaic, saffron, and styrax, which are personal favorites. But what makes it worth adding to my collection, which is already full of woody fragrances, is that it has this really, really successful herbaceous, piny element. And the patchouli and vetiver don't smell overpowering and medicinal, as they sometimes can. Ciel d'Orage really delivers this woodsy-meets-sultry vibe, and I'm so into it. Update: after testing it a second time and wearing it out, I have to say that it actually is a bit too strong. It felt a bit like I had very strong essential oil on. While I still enjoy the smell, I think it's just a bit too sharp.
