Encens Cuivre Eau de Parfum

#1470 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant, popped open the vial, and "BOOM-SHAKA-LAKA" the myrrh and incense came out of the corner swinging like a heavyweight champ! This is not for the meek or the weak! This will be noticed! Ambery enough that it's not entirely churchy, but it still would fit right into a cloister of monks/nuns in a medieval abbey. It also would fit right into Comme Des Garcons Series 3, which is delicious, but doesn't approach the potency of this Ojar. I personally love scents like this, and given a 4.48 rating above, I am not alone. I'm definitely ordering this. If you carpool, be merciful in application. I would strategically wear this to a board or executive team meeting, but otherwise not to the office. Not sure how this would go over on a date, but I kinda don't care. I'll wear this one for my own enjoyment.

This is really good, enjoyable, unique and safe. This house doesn't disappoints. The opening woody note reminds me of brazilian rosewood like in Tom Ford Oud Wood. The patchouli seem to hiding in the background, it's not as forward like in Boss Bottled Absolu. The resins are well balanced. Idk how the guy below can compare a boozy, saffron, tobacco fragrance i.e Initio side effect to a woody, resinous, sweet fragrance i.e Encens Cuivre.

This is absolutely stunning! Wow, this might be one of the best incense fragrances my nose has landed on. Seriously a masterpiece. It somewhat reminds me of Babycat but it has more of a spicy kick + it’s denser from the amber; I find Babycat to be quite airy. There’s not many fragrances that I consider love at first sniff and this is one of them. Perfectly unisex.

To be honest, this is probably one of the most slept on fragrances. It is sophisticated and very calming and gives off a very elegant vibe. I bought a 2ml decant of this before purchasing, and was probably one of if not the best addition to the collection. This fragrance is excellent if you're looking for a signature scent that is warm and comforting :)

I cannot stress enough how great this is. Jordi absolutely knocked this whole line out of the park - really special stuff.

I think this trio Encens Cuivre, Mont Blanc Meisterstuck and Encens Suave Extrait are very similar in terms of material and composition. Jordi did two of the three. It’s more of a middle eastern synthetic feeling woody amber if you will. It’s good not great. I own this it’s my least favorite from the three I find Encens Suave extrait to be way better smoother and much more compliments from friends and family that one gets noticed probably every time. This thing projects though and lasts so performance is amazing 8.5 or even 9 out of 10. Value for money if you find this at a discounter around $110 go for it. That’s the price range if you’re lucky enough to find this brand discounted.

I'm awaiting a 10ml decant (its on back-order) of my beloved Profumum Roma "Ambra Aurea." Because I infrequently wore Ambra Aurea and applied so little when I did wear it, the remaining 20ml of liquid in my last 100 ml bottle of AA turned thick, gritty, extremely oily. While I wait for my Ambra Aurea decant, I'm exploring a few other amber-centric fragrances. I'm revisiting Ojar "Encens Cuivre" after really disliking it upon initial spray. So, it's gone from a "dislike" to an “okay." Upon initially trying this perfume on skin, Encens Cuivre smells exactly like Mancera "Red Tobacco," which is a perfume I absolutely dislike. So, as I wear Encens Cuir regularly, the fragrance still unfolds as a smoky, amber-centric perfume with lots of woody, tobacco and animalic leather notes. However, If I refrain from over-spraying and I focus my nose, the palissandre (rosewood) note lends a soft and slightly feminine floral accord to the fragrance making EC more tolerable for me. Without over-spraying, the rosewood note markedly softens the fragrance's development. And when I refrain from over-spraying, the vanilla and musk notes in the drydown are quite prominent and notable, not drowned out by smoke, leather and ambergris. And I dislike categorizing fragrances. I say, "Wear what you love, whenever you wish, no matter who you are." But Encens Cuivre wears quite masculine for my tastes.

Not much projection unless over-sprayed which is inline with the other incense fragrances I have tried. In the end meh, not good, not bad but meh. Factor that in and for the price... funnily enough several hours after application it started to project a little. Turns out it is a nice spicy patchouli, not enough umph though.

It's ok, but not my type of incense. It's not your churchy incense. I feel like the brazilian wood ruins it for me. Reminds me of Majd Al Sultan Asdaaf, around 80% similarity

In this fragrance it is the main note, but it is not ecclesiastical, I find it expressed in its primordiality, made even more incisive by the notes that accompany it: myrrh, woods, patchouli. It almost seems as if it were transformed into gold, it is so imposing and magnificent. An exceptional creation, which does not lack sensuality and magnetism. Il est tres beau , un encens naturel et superbement travaillé , malheureusement il ne projette pas du tout , aucun sillage et aucune tenue , j'ai eu ce problème avec toutes les autres références de la marque Ojar c'est vraiment décevant. La concentration en parfum doit être tres faible. Que c'est dommage car leurs parfums sont tous hyper quali , leur ouvertures font partit des meilleurs de tout ce que j'ai pu sentir jusque là.

Very beautiful exotic old world (but not old fashioned) fragrance for men (a bit masculine in my opinion). I can imagine this being a Tartarian fragrance. Dark vanilla, old church elements and patchouli.

Copper Incense..... Smells like Initios Side effect. Not bad but redundant in my collection. Infusion Velours on the hand was an immediate full bottle order.

Is it me or does this smell like Oud Wood Tom Ford Or Nishane Kredo!!
