Halwa Kiss Eau de Parfum

Golden non edible unisex gourmand Like the other fragrance I tried from this house, this one is also very balanced and the notes are beautifully made. This one is just better in many ways. The notes can be clearly detected in the mixture, but nothing is overemphasized, so if you don't normally like any of the notes, you should still not give up trying this one. The scent is delicious, but not clearly edible. The notes in it can mainly be divided into three categories: notes that bring sweetness, i.e. honey, dates and vanilla, spices that bring edge, i.e. cardamom and saffron, and comforting notes, which include nutty Pistachio and roasted nuts, as well as bread like and soft Sesame. I think Rose is included as a binding note and Amber deepens the otherwise soft and slightly light gourmand-like notes. However, the balance and the impersonal beauty of the notes make the scent perhaps too easy. It lacks character and I can't really think of any special occasion where I would wear it, and therefore it is well suited as a signature scent. The scent is bright and has a golden yellow sheen. Dates and nuts with sesame seeds are drizzled with honey while cardamom and saffron balance the sweetness. It never turns out sticky sweet. The scent is clearly more popular with men, but I don't think it leans towards masculinity any more than it leans towards femininity. I surprisingly like this scent a lot. As many know, I'm not a fan of clear gourmands. I find many of them too synthetic or too juvenile and not elegant. This one passes my "gourmand test", even though it's not the most unique. The scent lasts easily 7 hours, it's quite linear and projects to those nearby, but doesn't fill the room. When sprayed liberally, it leaves an irresistible trail after the wearer. The opening of this fragrance is INCREDIBLE! I get every single note, the honey, dates, saffron, pistachio, nuts, vanilla and sesame......so so good!! Its so good its ridiculous. The mid is just as good too but that dry down is a bit disappointing. It gets SO powdery in the deep dry down, like literal Johnson baby powder with honey drizzle, I'm going to let it sit for some time, hoping it will tone down. Very reminiscent of Jardin de Misfah by Une Nuit Nomade but that one is less nutty, less gourmand, heavier on the rose and has a light soapy undertone in the dry down. Absolutely love them both ! Edit (June 2025): The powdery-ness has completely disappeared and its now pure bliss. Sweet dates with some nuttiness. My full bottle did not have that powdery-ness only my travel size did. Either way I'm a happy girl.

Summer. Soft rays of the setting sun illuminating golden honey dripping on warm skin. 🍯 I instantly fell in love with Halwa, an aromatic honey which opens up with a burst in the top note of minty spice from cardamom. As the fragrance settles on the dry down the cardamom levels but the honey remains ever present comforting and soft. This is supported by nutty sesame, the delicious sweetness of dates and delicate earthiness of saffron. There is also an aspect of a beeswax accord, which adds to the depth of Halwa, to create a warm, unique scent that is truly ambrosial. This fragrance shines in the summer weather with a balanced projection. Keynotes from strongest to weakest: Honey, dates, sesame, saffron, beeswax accord. Unisex. 8/10

Good for starters,it leaves a very sweet impression, but with time when it sits on the skin,feels less honey,, and asi decipher notes sweet cardamom saffron dates,And at the bottom in to dry vanilla Somethingand sweet amber, what I do not feel in the notes is the rose,on my skin do not feel,I do not know what perfume to describe it,, I would say he has a note of his intoxication by kilian,are different perfumes,, but yes has a similarity on the skin when it dries,,submit that cardamom makes him have something in common,,They are new perfumes, worth trying

To test the perfume, I sprayed it once on the back of my hand. It is a sweet, bold scent in which I could clearly distinguish the cardamom, dates, nuts, vanilla, and amber. After a few hours, the scent softens but remains present. Even after washing my hands! I think I will wear this scent a lot at work. It is also a good fragrance for a date night, but in my case, my boyfriend doesn't really like the way it smells. I personally rate it an eight out of ten 🩷

I got a sample from Halwa Kiss a year ago, and although I liked back then, I thought it was a bit too sweet for me. Today I went for a dinner date with my boyfriend, and he was smelling so good. I asked what perfume he was wearing. It turned out it was my sample. On him, Halwa Kiss smelled like a rose dipped in a very expensive honey. It was also a little powdery! So good! I will try again on my skin!

This one is absolutely amazing. The mixture of honey, dates, saffron, roasted nuts and cardamom immediately catapult you to a bazaar. Additionaly it reminds me of baklava, making me hungry and makes me want to go back on holiday. Sweet, warm and soft. A must smell for me! 🍯🌰🌹

Really nice cleaner than expected but with a warm classy vibe. Great for autumn winter rain & evenings and perfect on a MAN, masculine only classy not aggressive. IMO

Really sweet, too sweet I would say. To me it doesn’t smell like halwa at all, it smells more like something I would drink like a very sweet bubblegumy yellow soda drink. I only tested it on a paper strip so I don’t know how would it evolve on the skin but i did find it very lovely even if I would not choose it for myself. This house has some nice jams and I believe it is worth exploring more.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I really like it. It's warm, sweet, comforting. I mainly get the honey, sesame seeds, pistachios and amber. It's truly beautiful, has a rich character and smells of quality ingredients. Best for cold weather. Longevity is great, sillage is moderate.

Light, sweet gourmand scent. I don't feel the oriental heaviness in it; it lasts quite a while on clothes, mainly as sugary notes.

love every single note, and the combination of them sounded like a mix of baklava and halva. i live in istanbul i was expecting it to be the best scents of the city in a bottle. i was expecting a golden, rich, kind of sexy gourmand perfume but the execution is just...not there. i don't get any of the spices (not at first whiff and not at the dry-down although maybe thats just the fault of my nose)--just this very dry amber-vanilla, rosewater, and something very sweet (presumably the honey) and reminds me a bit of an intensely sweet gourmand alkemia perfume, like surcie or something. every one of the notes i catch lean toward a very bath-and-body-works-vanilla-sugar cloying sweetness. a bit too one-note. the dry-down smells like a powdery synthetic vanilla. i wish there were more complexity or depth to it. i agree with the opinions on sillage and longevity.

This is not a kiss, this straight up glazing yourself with honey. But a rich, opulent, expensive honey. It smells sooo smooth and refined, exactly like the honey texture. But the pistachio, saffron and rose are there too, to add opulence, while dates give some depth. If that’s your jam (pun intended), go for it. For the person asking below, no, rose is not dominant at all, it’s just a suave whiff added to the composition. This is definitely not blind buy worthy, unless you are looking for a rich honey, as I mentioned. Also, this is a mood, a special occasion, not a daily dumb reach. I blind bought it due to the association with the Omani halwa dessert, but had I tested it, I wouldn’t have, as it smells nothing like a diwaniya saffron honey halwa. Alas, a nice, high quality niche perfume that I will try to make it grow on me. Might update later.

Given the notes and everyone hyping it smells like baklavas, I did expect it to be a lot better than what I felt. To my nose initially it smells like the edge of a sealed bakery display, where you get this smell of cold sweets with some unlisted rose essence smell. The top notes (saffron, pistachio) are strong while cardamom is soft, and the drydown is majorly warm spices, amber, roasted nuts and sesame to me. Glad I got the 10 ml at first cus I wouldnt be able to use up a full bottle of this given how occasion specific it is - i.e. majorly cold, winter, evening settings where you're in an intimate setting. It is a great dessert-vibe scent but that limits how you use it ALOT. I got no vanilla, honey or dates in this.

the opening is pretty saffron-heavy on me, and i don’t pick up much sweetness or pistachio. the honey eventually takes over, giving it a jammy consistency, and you can catch hints of the nuts and dates. the dry down leans slightly powdery on my skin. projection is okay—not too strong, which is probably for the best since i think i’d get tired of it if it were more intense. overall, it’s nice but not something i’d reach for often.

Sweet, fruity rose, a little spice and amber. This is too soft and faint. Projection is poor. They phoned this one in. Insipid therefore eminently forgettable. One demerit for Dalia Izem. There are so many wonderful rose fragrances available to us. This is not one of them.

I had high hopes on this one based on notes but sadly it did not really work for me. I find it mildly nauseating and not mouthwatering like I wished for. It's the opposite of all freshness. I did not expect it to be fresh but something lacks from the composition, an edge, a harmony, a contrast. I am glad I bought just a sample.

Opening is sooo good but then it dries down to old thick honey. Little bit moldy powdery not for me.

Vaguely soapy and fresh. Neither gourmand nor floral. Mishmash of synthetic notes.

It sounded so good, yet I’m glad I only got a tester and didn’t blind buy! First I get a strong rose note, which is kinda natural but also rather sharp. I then get raw sesame seeds, like the bitter smell when opening a bag of uncooked sesame seeds, that are going bad. Mixed with the sharp rose note it’s like entering an abandoned house, and in the kitchen you find a huge bouquet of spoiled roses in a vase of brown water and endless bags of bitter, spoiled nuts and seeds.

On a positive note, this is a beast mode fragrance. Now for an honest review- I HATE THIS SOOOOOO MUCH OMG! I couldn't scrub it off fast enough and STILL could not get it off. It is TERRIBLE. I hate literally everything about it. It is nauseating and sinus inducing and at least it taught me to no longer do blind buys! HORRIBLE. One of the worst things I have ever smelled on myself.

Got a sample, was expecting a sweet honey smell, but I don't know what this was. Certainly not honey. Smells terrible, sour and a bit like urine. Considering all the positive reviews, I was unpleasantly surprised. Maybe my sample was faulty?

The Word Halwa derives from the Arabic “helw” which means "sweet", and this fragrance is part of the collection dedicated to honey, a real tradition in Oman regarding its cultivation. This is truly a sweet, velvety kiss, characterized by a splendid, clear, crystalline honey, accompanied by spices, sweet fruit and a fresh rose, or rather by its petals. Really interesting, original and with elegantly oriental features. “Venus with Cupid Stealing Honey” painted by Cranach.

I’m confused with this one. I really want blind buy it. Because it’s got compared to Roses Berberanza, which is my fav. However, I’m not drawn to Desert Suave. It’s very unique and doesn’t smell like a perfume to me. These three do have similar notes. I can see why RB & DS are ranked at the top. From the below reviews, rose is not prominent in Halwa Kiss. Maybe it’s more similar to DS? Could someone please tell me the difference if you’ve tried HK?

The opening is mouthwatering. Warm, cozy, and muted spice. Saffron stood out the most out of the spices. As it settles on my skin, I can smell the honey, dates, and sesame better. Honestly, though, I can still detect every other note. If I want a sweeter, more vanilla focused profile, I spray Halwa Kiss on my clothes and Eclair by Lataffa on my pulse points.

Starts with a strong note of sweet honey, delicious but not edible gourmand despite the notes. However, it dries down very soapy floral on my skin in just 20 minutes from spraying, which was a bit of a letdown.

There is something in this that smells like TF Vanille Fatale - something resinous and sticky smelling. It's lovely, powerful and complex yet not off putting in any way. Just beautiful!

When I want something sweet - a chocolate or a piece of cake - I put this on. Does the job. Lovely fragrance.
