Still Life

A sparkling sweet citrusy perfume that its sweetness reminds me of green tea. Brilliance of yuzu that pepper makes it classy and masculin and becomes more attractive with rum and woody notes. That is a good choice for warm days of summer. . . ساختار برند الفکتیو استودیو ترکیبی از دو دنیای عکاسی هنری و عطرهاست. تصورکنید یک استودیوی عکاسی و یک خانه عطر باهم ادغام بشن و در مسیر ایجاد ارتباط میان قدرت بینایی و بویایی حرکت کنن. کمااینکه عکس و عطر در این موضوع که هردوشون یک لحظه و فضا رو در حافظه ی مربوط به خودشون ثبت میکنن مشترک هستن. همونطور که مشخصه الفکتیو استودیو هرکدوم از عطرهاش رو هم با الهام از اسم یکی از تکنیک ها یا موضوعات مربوط به عکاسی نام گذاری میکنه. . جالبه بدونید موسس برند ، سلین وِرلِر برای ساخت اولین عطرهاش، سه اسم مربوط به دنیای عکاسی رو به عکاس های ماهری داد و از اون ها خواست تا تعبیرشون از اون اسامی رو آزادانه در قالب یک عکس نشون بدن. سپس عکس ها رو به عطارها داد تا با الهام گیری از اون ها عطر بسازن. نتیجه ی یکی از این همکاری ها هم استیل لایف بود. . . استیل لایف یا تکنیک عکس برداری از طبیعت بی جان نام یکی از کارهای خنک و تابستانی این برند هست. رایحه ای تمیز و روشن از مرکباتِ شیرین و ترش در کنار گونه های مختلف فلفل و رگه هایی از شیرینیِ جذابِ چوبی مشروبی. درسته که کلیت کار مرکباتیه اما انتظار یک رایحه ی ترش و لیمویی رو نداشته باشید. مرکباتِ این عطر ترکیبی از ترشی و شیرینی رو توامان داره و به قول خودمونی ملسه. ضمن اینکه هرچه به درای داون عطر نزدیک میشیم آکورد چوبی و رایحه ی شکرگونِ رام با قدرت گرفتنشون وزنه ی شیرینی عطر رو سنگین تر هم میکنن. همچنین عطار با پاشیدن پودر فلفل روی این مرکباتِ شیرین کلاس کاری ترکیب رو بالا میبره و ابهتش رو افزایش میده. دورنمای عطر، حس شیرینِ سبز و چای مانندی برام داره که بیش از پیش من رو جذب خودش میکنه. در بحبوحه ی خودنماییِ نت ها ، سایه ی امضای خاص برند هم کمی سنگینی میکنه. یک حس تلخ و پلاستیکی مانند مثل بوی ابزارهای دیجیتالی نو و نوارفیلم خام! . تو این روزا که هوا رو به گرم شدن میره امتحانش کنید. میشه بعنوان یک گزینه ی خیلی خوب برای روزهای گرم بهش فکر کرد. .

An assertive attempt to manipulate Yuzu's note in the hands of those who understand, who really know how to deal with the thing. Everything so millimetrically cohesive that a sudden urge to take the fragrance for a few minutes rises. Still Life opens as a toast to life, in a harmonious way, with the Yuzu note being resinous and densely spiced by an evident touch of pepper, quite unlike anything I've ever felt in my life; an addictive aromatic aspect that while conveying "simplicity", denotes finite complexity. Following, it becomes a more floral and sweetened perfume, presenting the sting not of an exclusive Pepper, but of a gustatory element that, if not properly combined, can cause an immediate olfactory fatigue, like the Star Anise, which here is just joy. and evolves autonomously until it finds a certain alcoholic time that comes after drying. Basically, the Rum note is as well crafted as each step of its evolution, and leaves no traces that a good niche perfume does not need rare or extensive notes to consecrate it as beautiful, but exact, minimalist and accurate combinations. I feel woods, fine alcoholic beverages, resins and something sharp on the skin that are saying goodbye and orphaning those who use it and those who appreciate it from outside as well. Still Life is charming in its simplicity!

The house of Olfactive Studio is one of my favourites because I can relate to its philosophy of combining vision with scents (it inspired my choice of username). The opening of Still Life is dominated by yuzu although seconds afterwards I detect the note of rum and spices. There is a presence of a green note which may be due to galbanum. At this stage, it reminds me of a more refined Carolina Herrera 212 VIP. The heart is dominated by star anise and pepper. The base is warm and woody. Towards the latter stages, Still Life shares similarities with the dry down of Shay & Blue's Sicilian Limes and Sel de Vetiver by The Different Company with the presence of a salty note that is not mentioned. Although, it may be that is how my nose interprets the note of moss here. Still Life is soft but an elegant citrus/green smell thus it is not a performance monster. I am baffled why would anyone want to reach for a beat-performing scent for the warm days during spring and summer. It suits my lifestyle to wear a cologne for no longer than 4 hours each day during the hot days of the year. Still Life transports me to a humid but serene green forest. A recommended buy or at least a trial for lovers of citrus-base colognes. 8/10

While out of town, I decided to visit a local perfumery. I must've spent at least two hours testing various houses: Creed, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Diptyque, Acqua Di Parma, Serge Lutens, L'Artisan, Fredrick Malle, etc. Despite my efforts, I could not find a scent that wowed me. It wasn't until I got to Still Life when I realized my search was over. I love this smell! Sparkling yuzu tempered by the assorted peppers - this initial phase is so wonderful. The mid gets better as the star anise sweetens the fragrance. It almost smells like sparkling orange champagne cocktail (has to be the rum) with candy orange jelly slices. The rum and amber in the base adds a sexy quality to the fragrance. My only gripe is that it doesn't last longer than 5 hours on my skin and the projection is moderate. However, I get excellent longevity on clothing...maybe 10 hours. The performance did not prevent me from making my most expensive fragrance purchase to date (I usually can find good online discounts), and I feel it was so worth it. The smell is divine. I can't wait to try this in a warmer climate; I'm hoping the performance improves.

Wow!! Delicious, explosive, energetic, colorful and unique !! Immediately reveals his soul festive, energetic and fun! note Yuzu with pink pepper is a perfect marriage, and pepper is well balanced with the opening notes ... after about 10 minutes evolves and come in the star anise and galbanum (anise is balanced and not invasive). The Galbanum joins perfectly with the rest, turning the scent a little more "hot" but keeping the soul happy and bubbly. Then, the fragrance evolves yet .. and base notes begin to emerge rum (really very nice in this composition), cedar and amber that "calm" a little early energetic and festive start ... almost as if the party is about to end .. but I still have my cocktail in hand, and I drink sitting, amused by the party, from the sun, and summer! Council much for the summer .. is perfect! unfortunately the sillage is soft .. so needs many sprays, but longevity is good (about 8 hours on me) ... I just buy a full bottle of this perfume! I like it;) this perfume was able to put on a smile, and make me feel happy ^^★ Sillage: 6.5/10 Longevity: 7./10 Scent: 8/10 Overall: 8./10

Beautiful, photorealistic yuzu opening spiced up with a trio of pepper: Sichuan, black and pink pepper. It’s a gorgeous spring/summer citrusy/green perfume but it’s built on the contrast between citrus, spices, warm/amber accents, and boozy accords, which was an unexpected twist I didn’t expect, that makes Still Life unique. I have ordered a few weeks ago several samples of Olfactive Studio and I love all of them which rarely happens to me, especially if it’s an entire new collection to me. This and Still Life in Rio are so similar so I decided to get a bottle of the latter because of the addition of coconut. Otherwise, this is gorgeous and I highly recommend it to both genders for spring and summer. It’s so refreshing and bright, aromatic and semi sweet, but has some depth offered by amber, elemi and cedar. Not your typical fleeting citrusy fresh. Very underrated scent, like the entire brand, and fairly priced for the quality you get.

I got a discovery set from this house to review on my YouTube channel, which I still need to do. However, honestly there are two that are full bottle worthy as the opening of each fragrance are great, but dry down to not so great scents and or longevity stunk! This , which I have a full bottle of now and sore today and Chambre noire are the two best from the house. Still life is better for hot weather but is also a good contender for ones signature scent and Chambre noire for cold weather as its a boozy and woody delight with a divine dry down as well Still life really won my love in its dry down. The opening which is an amazing citrus that I've never smelled before is what I get for the first few hours, then it dries down to its own fragrance which is more masculine and the ambrox cedar combo in the base with boozy notes is a real complement getter! Amazing. I would even put my name on this to say blind buy worthy! 9/10

This is one of the most incredible fragrances I've ever come across, because its dry-down and development tells a complete story. There's a restraint citrus opening note, quite green and almost herbal. The moment it dissipates, it turns into an almost menthol-boozy-floral note that is mesmerizing, before settling to a light cedar note. After the 8 hour wear, it turns into a musky, morning-after scent that is incredibly sexy and true to life. This fragrance makes me picture a cocktail party on a rooftop apartment with a huge skylight, talking to a room full of people who work in the creative industry, who (in this imaginary world) are my friends. After a night of good food, good conversations and good friends, I spend it with a special someone that I just met, before watching the sunrise together. This fragrance is the opposite of linear, it is so lively (despite the name), and I will be purchasing a full bottle.

I prefer the flanker of this (which is Still Life in Rio), but this fragrance like its flanker is absolutely amazing and refreshing for a summer frag, the Yuzu in the opening is photorealistic and very sweet in a pleasant and non-cloying way, like its flanker, smells like Yuzu layered with some nice spices in the back that enhance the scent, with its dry down slowly becoming more green and slightly slightly woody, unisex and a bit more versatile than 'Rio' in my humble opinion (though maybe consider wearing something else for the winter lol), if you are looking into a nice refreshing easy going summer frag, or perhaps looking into exploring olfactive studio as a house (or both), i highly recommend sampling this or its flanker as they are great Segway's into the brand. easy 9/10 for me

This is my ALL TIME favorite citrus/fresh fragrance! It is the perfect combination of clean summeriness that has you continually trying to smell yourself!! The longevity is amazing- can smell it the next day and it radiates about an arms length which is perfect for me. The pink pepper really makes this one shine as it brightens up the yuzu. Keep all of your LV summer fragrances, this is the one for me after trying hundreds of fresh citrus scents. Absolutely incredible and have wanted to add it to my collection for over 4 years since I first smelled it. Now I have a 100ml bottle that I will cherish. Forgot to mention - the presentation is also amazing in this bottle and box. Looks like a true piece of art, high quality bottle and atomizer.

Still life is definitely the most interesting yuzu on the market in my opinion, it’s the most sharp of them all. Which is a double edged sword. It the store i work at ive been told that it goes sweet on my skin which i like but some told me that it goes sour. So i’d recommend trying it a couple of day first sillage : 10/10 (my friends could smell it almost 7 meters away) lasting strength : 7/10 , (for a citrus/fresh scent it’s a 10/10 it lasted me almost a full 10 hours) worth : 10/10 i have the 50 ml and i’ll probably purchase the full bottle when im done with it. ps : if too citrusy i’d recommend the still life in rio, it has a sweeter greener finish which is easier for most.

I chose this frag as a gift to my husband as according to its notes it sounded as something that could suit some of his good memories from the young years. And we are not disappointed! I’ve never smelt such a clear yuzu! It mixes with galbanum and with a sillage of some alco notes turns then into light cedarwood. It’s really light and bright, sunny and about bold young life in a countryside in summer or another warm seasons. It also has some chamomile notes in it and as chamomiles are sort of my husband’s signature note it suits even more. For him - memories, for me - something calming and yet arousing.

This is an extremely underrated/unknown freshie from Olfactive Studio...opens extremely peppery and citrusy...the yuzu and black pepper being especially pronounced...so zesty, bitter, & refreshing...feels very natural...within minutes, the galbanum & anise combination makes an appearance with both sweet (licorice-like), green, & resinous facets...the rum also follows close behind, throwing the whole composition into a cocktail-like melange...really does transform into a perfect peppery, citrusy, herbal cocktail — that smells so intoxicating & refreshing in the heat...a real gem

I am really enjoying this one!! I had sampled this with Olfactive Studio discovery set and I thought it was ok at first but some time went by but when summer rolled around being out in the hot weather I really wanted something fresh for the heat and I couldn’t get this one out of my mind. It is a spicy lemon scent to my nose and I love that the rum and amber notes give it depth. The longevity is ok. But for a fresh citrus fragrance it is pretty good considering. I get around 4 hours and then settles to a skin scent.

This is a very nice perfume, though a little 'heavy' on the dry down. But here, i'd like to make a general comment about all niche fragrances: if it is difficult to write a review about a commercial perfume, it is almost 'impossible' at this level of quality. And the reason is that all these fragrances are as versatile as your life. You feel happy they smell wonderful, next day you are stressed it feels they don't suit you. They are kind of alive, in alignment with your life. If you understand what i am saying...

A wonderful citrus. Nothing like any other citrus scents I have encountered. It's just right, like a perfect drink or a perfect cocktail. Not to sweet, not too sour, appropriate to be enjoyed by both sexes and appropriate for all occasions. Great balance of delicate peppery notes, spread on a base of delicious elemi, rum, woods.Yuzu is present to the very end. Lond lasting on me, projects decent. Nothing cliche about Still Life, went straight up to favourites shelves.

This is definitely a hot weather scent. I sprayed it 8 times and im still getting whiffs of it after 6 hrs and the weather is 43 degrees Celsius here. This is a very good summer freshie that you'll enjoy if you like yuzu and very citrusy scents, im impressed by its longevity and smooth projection. On my skin its dry but not peppery or much spicy, its more citrusy, so yeah as always it depends on your skin type... This smells really really nice 8/10

Grand. What a delicious citrus smell is this, does not resemble anything I know, here Yuzu not smell synthetic or much less aged, here it mingles with the delight of Rum and Galbanum giving equilibration at this delight, pink pepper comes give a tone to the total power spicy citrus fragrance that particularly pleases me very much. Longevity and projection are very good on me. I classify it thus: Smell: 10/10 Projection: 8.5/10 Longevity: 9/10

This is such a lovely and unique fragrance. Opens up very bright/spicy and citrusy from the yuzu and the spices, drydown is where the magic happens in my opinion : citrusy, woody, slightly spicy, green scent with a hint of sweet booz in the far back. Very unique take on a citrus and very very classy scent and a absolute hidden gem. Longevity is not great, I get about 5h max. A must try if you like an unique fresh scent.

Still Life is my second scent that I try from this house. It's also a love at first sniff. Such a refinement for citrus aromatic type. Very refreshing and light but stay strong throughout the day. Green citrus, yes! Sorbet-like, yes! Peppery, sure why not! Anise, rum, and more cedar. Oh my! Olfactive Studio surely started to grab my full attention and soon enough my wallet too.

i think the best of the serie.delicious...semi sweet and a little bit sour yuzu.(light mix of orange and grapefruit) it is light version of montale red vetiver(terre d'hermes edp).IMHO it smells like Hermes Voyage with non-pepery suitable for men and women.it has huge sillage and longlivity.perfect for summer and spring. so simple, so original, so genius. GREAT JOB....10/10

I loved it from the first cognac-rich sniff! It has this wonderful boozy woody reach smell that just lingers on forever. I got candied fruit and nice oily wood.. If it were me, I would buy it today...but my SO after sniffing this on me said it smells like worn-out clothes that hasn't been washed in a few weeks. Appalling. Shows how differently we all perceive smells.

First you get the lemon (I know it's yuzu don't know if there's any difference but it really smells like lemon!) and man it is strong! Smells like a very strong lemon juice. After ten minutes it disappears completely and it gets very soft and light. The dry down is what you need to wait for because it's marvelous! I've never smelled anything quite like this.

Somehow it reminds me Au The Rouge. I love this perfume, it is balanced, it has the right combination of citrus, pepper and wood. It's smooth and nice. However it is very moderate and doesn't last for a long time. I can't smell it after one hour anymore :( otherwise it would be just perfect fragrance for daily casual wear. Both men and women.

I have had an official sample set from Olfactive Studio for ages and unless they stuffed up their own literature that is included in a glossy booklet that accompanies the set, then this is the notes list, description and nose for Autoportrait, not Still Life. And vice versa. Confusing innit? 🤷🏻♂️

This has to be one of the safest niche fragrances I've ever smelled. If it wasn't for the steep price, I'd say this is a must own. Sometimes, you just want to smell good without all of the complexity. I can't see too many people disliking this smell.

Maybe I was reviewing it before (2-3 years ago), but I was testing it again and I’m still in love with this elegant yuzu note! Longevity is horrible, but the scent is beautiful.

Deliciously fresh citrus + yuzu opening. Love the photorealistic yuzu! Scent is light, bright, uplifting, an elevated citrus scent that dwarfs other typical citrus scents.

The scent is well balanced.. it is likable and a definite try though not a full bottle..amazing composition..oh i love it

This niche perfume line was completely inspired by the art of photography. The photographer of this work was Frédéric Lebain and what very few people know – and I was told by the creator of the brand, Céline Verleure – is that one of the biggest inspirations of this fragrance was the sensation of drinking a caipirinha enjoying the sunset in Arpoador, Rio de Janeiro. The perfumer was Dora Arnaud, who has already created for L'Artisan Parfumeur, Versace, among others. The fragrance of de Still Life EDP is composed of notes of yuzu, elemi, and peppers (pink, black, and Sichuan), in the output; in the heart, notes of galbanum and star anise. And finally, notes of rum, cedar, and ambrox, at the base. Before speaking of the fragrance, I would like to make a small explanation: the yuzu (read yuzú) can be called as either orange yuzu or lemon yuzu. This is due to the fact that is a citrus fruit, of Asian origin, which belongs to the family of grapefruit, in shades between green and yellow. It has a taste similar to the grape, with a touch of Tangerine, and aroma similar to the lime, also known in Brazil as lime-orange, but it's sourer and produces a juice like the lemon, widely used for seasonings. As it was inspired by the caipirinha, this fragrance could not fail to be citrus in its entirety. The pepper mingles with the yuzu at the first whiff. The green scent of galbanum helps to propagate the central idea and the base only managed to bring the alcohol content of the rum. A fragrance that, although unisex, seemed more masculine than feminine to me. Don't be surprised if, by chance, you feel some similarity with Guerlain Homme, since this one has the same citric content of lemon, besides mojito and rum. Unfortunately, Still Life EDP doesn't have good projection and durability on my skin. Maybe I'm needing a drink and my skin has absorbed this caipirinha faster than I thought. I must repeat the test, perhaps on a warmer day, to see how it will behave. Anyway, the best definition has already been given: Still Life is how to enjoy the sunset at Arpoador, tasting a delicious caipirinha.

Spicy Yuzu... SL to me is mainly a citrus (yuzu) fragrance accompanied by spices (star anise, pepper) and the sweetness of elemi. The yuzu is of high quality and very nice here. The composition is citrusy, fresh, clean, and bright. It is perfect for casual daily wear, particularly during the hotter months of the year. The smell is pleasant, easy going, and right in the middle of the road (I think it appeals to most people...a safe composition). Except for a light boozy whiff (presumably from rum...and if it is it must be white rum), I don't get much of the base notes. I think a sensitive nose may pick them up. To me, this fragrance is all about the top and middle notes. Projection is average and longevity is short (about 2 - 3 hours to me). Of the OS house, I find SL less interesting than Lumiere Blanche, Flash Back, and Chambre Noire (my favorite). I think that at $195 for a 100 ml bottle, SL is over-priced. It has a pleasant redolence, but nothing utterly different and special. So, though a likeable composition, is it worth the price? I think not. There are more interesting citrus fragrances from other niche houses in the $120 - $160 price range for a 100 ml bottle. At times, SL even seems to border a citrus designer fragrance, as supposed to a niche one. So, I'm not convinced it is worth the money.

A pleasant, peppery citrus scent with unremarkable performance. This opens with a big punch of somewhat peppery yuzu. Having previously lived in Japan for a number of years, I can attest that this is a fairly realistic rendition. Yuzu is a fuller and less sharp citrus scent than lemon or citron. After only a few minutes the yuzu fades in relative prominence, while the pepper gets louder. Into the drydown, just enough of the yuzu remains to give the pepper a lemony tinge. On me, the base notes are pretty much AWOL. Unlike others, I don't get any booziness or sweetness out of this. For me, it is quite dry. On my skin, the projection is moderate for about 30-45 minutes, then settles down closer. Becomes a skin scent after a couple of hours and hangs on that way for several more hours. Overall, quite nice, but the performance doesn't justify the cost for me. *Edit: This turns out to be my wife's favorite fragrance on me, of the few that I own. She likes this one because it does not smell artificial or "perfumey," it is bright and uplifting instead of dark or heavy, and it is not too loud. All good qualities for an office scent, I would say.

Fresh rum anise cocktail One of my favourites from this house, Still life has a brilliant opening, equally invigoratingly fresh as it is sweet. The opening freshness is however soon over and what I get is heaps of resinous peppery elemi mixed with the densely sweet scent of rum and an certain woody compound which is very robust and ever present all the way to the dry down producing a velvety and gently spicy star anise. I am not referring to anise alcohol which is very fleeting and smells like ouzo. It’s the same smell you get in Nicolai Cuir Cuba Intense, dosed however much lower, that reminds me almost of liquorice or even wormwood. The result is a very particular sweet rum peppery elemi mixture backlit by a mellow liquorice woody effect I find very pleasant to smell more so as a skin scent through 4-5 hours upon application. Give it a shot if you like star anise and citrus rum cocktails. Purely subjectively more enjoyable than the Rio flanker because of the absence of the sun screen coconut which I find a bit aversive.

I cannot deny the quality of this whole line but promising openings on almost all of them end up transitioning to being a tad too feminine for me to personally want to wear. I'd much prefer to smell them on a female and Still life is possibly the only one I'd wear myself. The opening blast is Yuzu and a good dose of pepper, think Comme de garcons like, with a touch of elemi. Very fresh and spicy which gives it a fizzy pop. This all dissipates quite quickly and drys down to become very delicate. Im no expert on notes, so not sure if it the Galbanum that causes this to smell very floral whilst being mixed with the rum in the dry down to make this almost tip slightly over to the fem side but I think the cedar may be the saving grace for this. Not a complex fragrance by any means but an extremely pleasent and easy to wear fragrance fit for any occasion. I can see this one being a compliment magnet. Not much to dislike about this, except maybe the price but I'd happily pay it.

I've not smelt yuzu before. Sniffing this blind, I thought initially there was a bitter version of lime here, later it starts to smell a little like citron, but still with some lime. This is not a bright citrus fragrance. As it dries, it gets warmer and spicier, the peppers are prominent and I get a resinous greenness, something slightly sour and bitter and cedar. I can't say that I smell rum here prominently at all, I sometimes think I smell it but I think it's just me knowing it is supposed to be there, it's not boozy. Overall this is a pretty linear fragrance. It reminded me a bit of a much milder version of Frank, but that's probably just the lime and the warmth. On me it fades to a skin scent quickly but is long lasting. Do I like this? Yes. Would I buy this? No.

Sophistication. Yeah, it is not a screamer, but it is a lovely study of subtly. I rather have to hand it to Olfactive Studio, they capture a whole vibe for me. The crisp citrus bitterness in here is like a finger snap across a room. This is a clean fitted shirt and a sly smile. With that said, I got a great deal on it and with the discounted price, I do feel it is worth it. Does superbly in the heat. I think it is totally unisex (everyone likes clean snappy, right?) I think this one works really well for office settings -I normally like the heavier stuff, but this already has fans in my office after my initial wearing. I have Still Life in Rio and that is what caused me to get this. Frankly, I like both a lot.

After sampling the fresh collection from Olfactive Studio, I was initially drawn to purchase Still Life due to a great deal and the joy it brings me. This woody citrus fragrance reminds me of a boozy lemon gelato, which is delightful. Is it groundbreaking? No. But it's an easy and pleasant wear. If the weather in France were better, I would be drenching (moderately) myself in it because it smells like a well-deserved holiday, sipping cocktails in the cool afternoon. It's completely unisex, and both my boyfriend and I use it equally. By the end of the day, I can still catch whiffs of this lemon ice cream on my skin, so the longevity is quite good with my skin chemistry.

A very easy to wear and signature worthy scent. Saying that it is the niche equivalent to Chanel Bleu. Not in terms of the smelling alike but the compliment factor and them being so easy to wear. I don't see many people disliking this as it is perfect scent wise. Longevity is in the 8-10 hour range and sillage is average for majority of the scent. The yuzu note stays dominant throughout the longevity of the scent but the pepper/boozy dry down is stellar! It also has a slight tangy/bitter edge the same way Armani Code does because of the star anise. It can easily be worn in all four seasons and is a must try!

This was a little disappointing to me. I felt that it wasn't very unique. I thought it had too much of a similar smell to Chanel Edition Blanche. Which isn't a terrible thing. But, if you have it in your wardrobe, then its more of the same. Plus, the performance was not very good. It had decent longevity, but it was a skin scent from beginning to the end. Put me in the camp the loves the opening but is less impressed with the short lived dry down. But that opening....so nice; citrusy and tart and boozy. If I could attach a color to Still Life it would be ochre. The dry down came fast then burned out quick — and I don’t typically complain about performance. Here is where I picked up the pepper and spice. I will likely try again in warmer weather and see if I can eek out some performance.

I had gotten a sample of whole Olfactive studio line and Still life was the one which got me going.Yuzu is the star of the show and its very natural as compare to synthetic Issey Miyake d'Issey. The spices in the background play a good role and its quite Fresh scent. Its Perfect for Indian Weather I will say and it last for 6 Hours with good projection for first 3 hours.7.5/10

I like this fragrance. Love the natural-smelling Yuzu/citrus off the top with rum/amber/woods at the base. I like the pepper, but find it does not distract from the other notes in this fragrance. While I could classify this as a Spring/Summer fragrance, I actually believe this could be worn in the colder months. Longevity is pretty good, sillage not as much.

This one blew me away! A glass of sweet rum with fresh squeezed citrus laced around the rim with sprinkled sugar covering the citrus. And for soooome reason there's a bowl of fresh ground pepper sitting near by on the table. Yeah, something like that. This fragrance is something special! A must buy for me.

I've been searching for my perfect yuzu fragrance for quite a while and out of all those I've tried Still Life is my favourite, hands down. Fresh and citrusy with some depth from pepper and resins. Very nice.

A very pleasant yuzu scent, more yuzu peel than flesh. The sharpness of the pepper note recedes quickly and mingles perfectly with the yuzu note, creating a well-balanced scent.

I like Still Life. It's very gender neutral, peppery, sweet-spicy yuzu. Nice, casual summer fragrance, but feels too diluted and overpriced for what it is.

I love the way it starts developing straight after spraying. Interesting sugary citrus scent.
