Riley

Riley is one of Olfactory’s “base” scents that can be customized with an additional set of notes through its “custom” blending experience/kit. On its own, Riley is simple but lovely; the nutty hazelnut note adds a unique and quirky twist to the conventional vanilla sandalwood. For my “custom” blend I chose Riley + tobacco leaf (not “tobacco”) and cardamom. The combination is superb and I’ve gotten several compliments from coworkers. One thing I’ll note about the Olfactory perfumes - the ingredients smell top-notch despite the perfumes not being terribly expensive, relatively speaking. I’ve tried most of the “base” scents in the collection and can respect how true-to-life the notes smell even when they’re not up my ally (like gardenia). The Olfactory NYC “custom perfume” kit is the best gift I’ve ever received and I highly recommend it. The quality is really up there and my Riley blend is one of my favorite perfumes I’ve ever smelled.

Made a custom scent at one of the Olfactory locations today and used Riley as my base. I added orange flower and magnolia to it and it smells so good! It was a really fun experience.... I’d recommend it for yourself, a group of friends (which is what I did) or even as a couple (we saw a few couples making custom scents for their wedding there too).

Burns my skin but smells nice, it's a skin musk for sure. Proceed with caution this one has a lot of alcohol I think
