Opoponax

Love this one might be my second favorite from this brand, a nice dose of sweet myrrh and pink pepper on top of the frankincense base works really well in this one I just wish that this is a heavier smell it’s surprisingly delicate still and dries to reveal a vanilla like benzoin that adds to the balsamic sweetness. Over time it dries down to a more lighter and airier Interlude.

Couldn't take my mind off of this after testing it on skin and had to get a full bottle. Although I'm not normally a fan of linear scents, I find this incredibly meditative and is great on its own. I do occasionally layer it with some perfumes where I want the churchy notes of incense and resin to be played up. Really love this addition to my collection.

Powdery, dry amber with light sweetness and incense. (I’d not call this a sweet scent). The labdanum, benzoin, and perfume myrrh (opoponax) make a lovely and slightly masculine amber. Unlike Halael, this is what I’d like for daily wear in cold weather. Sticky ambers are just too much for work.

Smells like my bf. Love this. Nostalgic. Warm. Beautifull. I use this as a bed time scent when I miss my bf.

Smells very good, good projection and hold, round and a little sweet while being resinous / balsamic and incense, but perhaps too monotonous (little evolution) and simple to be a banger. Re-tested a few months later and still the same opinion: really well balanced between sweetness and incense, really very pleasant and makes me want to try to find better and cheaper in the same style and why not let myself be tempted if I don't find better...

Sweet, smoky yet its light and not full bodied. Nice to wear it with other insence or amber scent.

Sweet (too sweet?), uncomplicated, instant mood enhancer that would work well in complementing something very dry like Vetiver.

Parfum vraiment trop leger et trop discret Naturel certe , mais on le sent à peine... On ne peux meme pas en profiter , c'est dommage car l'oliban sous toutes ses forme est tres bien travaillé dans cette maison.

I'm going to front-load my disappointment and work from there: I wish this were denser. That said, I recognize that I am an outlier who is happiest when I am drowning in resins. This is far too shallow to drown in. It's sweet, dry, the tiniest bit spicy, and thin. Not quite watery, but devoid of any texture. Wearable, but not exciting.

Like a lullaby, I perceive velvet cinnamon, vanilla like the "petit Marseillaise" shower gel , elegant frankincense. How to talk to a spiritual advisor, instant relaxation
