Balinesque

Balinesque opens with a light fresh blast of bamboo and spices that blend together perfectly. Soft florals, a hint of sweetness, slightly powdery and definitely aromatic. To my nose, Balinesque becomes this nutty, tropical concoction that definitely transports me to the beautiful island of Bali here in Indonesia. It is blended beautifully and quite complex because all the ingredients mushed together create a new and interesting scent. Balinesque is the Bali vacation vibe I’ve been missing. It’s also the type of scent that is somewhat cocooning and calming. Longevity and projection is moderate. Lasting for 5 hours on my skin and projecting for 3 hours more or less.

Una bellissima fragranza al sandalo e bamboo, fresca e acquatica. Orchidee, gelsomini e ninfee che galleggiano incuranti ed espandono bellezza, lussureggianti e placide. Ginger, cardamomo e vetiver rinfrescano e illuminano legni tropicali. La nota predominante resta il bamboo, ma dolcemente fiorito, quieto, non deciso e secco (come in Tropical Bamboo Monotheme, per molti aspetti simile...). Lo stesso profumo che si respira presso la cascatella del parco di Tijuca... Gradevole e sensuale fascino esotico. Anche questo profumo prolunga moltissimo la persistenza se spruzzato sui capelli, su pelle è più evanescente.

This review is based on a sample. Its a wonderful and very stimulating opening. I get loads of ginger, orchid, geranium, cardamom, cinnamon and bamboo. Im not usually keen on the bamboo note but it really works well here. It really takes you on an olfactory tour of the Far East. If you need perking up after a wild night then this will wake you up. As the alcohol dissipates the aquatic note, rose, orchid and sandalwood become more apparent. It ends its reign as a bamboo/aquatic fragrance. Its a shame its longevity is so poor. A lovely spicey fragrance. C'est la vie!

An exotic scent,the note of bamboo is extraordinary here, I feel flowers,waterfalls streams ... a slight hint of woods, all this creates a very nice atmosphere. Orchid petals,soft and luminous... a deep, complex parfum. Unfortunately the sillage is very close to the skin but the longevity is maintained average (around 6-7h). To try, i personally liked it, especially as it was masterfully balanced by the perfumer Duchaufour. Great! Sillage: 5.5/10 Longevity: 7./10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8./10

Tender floral. I get a tender floral taste. It has that orchid with sambac, I don't know if i can detect any bambo but it's geranium, sea breeze, and clear red roses. Not really cardamon, or myrrh, but sandalwood in big chunks. It's an Asian blend with lots of zen garden vibes. I always remember "I will go there with you" song by Dana Dawson specially when she goes: @02:13 "It's an emotional state that i'm in I want to know the meaning of love If you want, i will be with you Wherever you want me i will go there" And then comes the harmonica part which really describes this blend precisely. watch?v=tQq42A-_fN0

I want the skin of all the people that vote for eternal longevity, and the nose that find enormous sillage. It will be an happy life I think. Beside the evanescence, it's pleasant, while sea spray it's not between official notes. the acquosity it's the one linked to bamboo note.

Tender floral isn’t enough for me. If I have to smush my nose into where I first applied it only 10 minutes ago, then that’s not worth it, no matter how nice it might have been.

It's a very complex scent. Bertrand Duchaufour mixed fresh luminous notes of bamboo, orchid and flowery water streams with warm spices & myrrh, and rounded everything with heliotrope embraces. Sharp notes like geranium and vetiver that usually make perfumes more masculine, are used here in a really homeopathic doses, and just bring some more staccato facets to this satin smooth composition. Balinesque is made to reflect the impressions of the brand owner after her trip to Bali, and the author successfully created a really exotic fragrance that does not remind me any other perfume I know. Bravo! This scent makes my days more colorful :)

It is a very interesting scent. It starts off with a big blast of bamboo and ginger and salty water. As it transforms on the skin, I get more of fresh jasmine and creaminess coming from the the heliotrope. I like it, as it is, like most of Duchaufour's scents, quite different and more of an olfactory painting than a scent. To be honest, I don't think I would like the full bottle of it, as it is extremely close to the skin, the projection is really minimal which is a shame, as it is very unusual and would work great for summer.

Very strong bamboo I am getting more of a green vibe and maybe even hay.
