Savannah's Heart

I have the 50 milliliter bottle of this perfume. It has a duration of 12 hours on the skin and a high intensity. It is a perfume that I would say that the hallmark in it is woody, it is the backbone of this perfume. You will notice in between these woody notes how those touches of coffee begin to give it body, it is like pure coffee. Of course we will have nuances of anise but a star anise, in pure spice, that in between the coffee notes give you light touches, those sandalwood, vanilla, musk ... the vanilla, the musk will be important because they will be that point of character that will differentiate when a man wears it from when a woman wears it. When I wear this perfume, the woody notes are a little softer, because let's not forget that it is the central point of the perfume, but the coffee can feel a little softer, with those points of vanilla, with a white musk, which it will give a sweeter touch, along with vanilla and that set becomes something lighter within a perfume with character. When a man wears it, especially the notes of a dark coffee and wood jump out, highlighting a lot for example both birch and oud wood, speaking of the way of oud, it is important to take it into account because it is also important in this perfume, but in this case the type of haute wood that we are going to find is lightened with those touches of both sandalwood and birch, which will give it a special touch, of course the coffee, but in this In this case, the oud wood that we have in this aroma is a more smoky type of wood. I think it is a totally unisex perfume, I think it is a perfume especially for couples who enjoy very warm and woody aromas. Is it for everyone? no, but of course that's the good thing about it, a scent for those who are passionate about these touches of aromas.

By far, the stand out from Olibere for me is Savannah's Heart. Savannah's Heart (extrait) is a unique combination of woods and rhubarb with a touch of coffee and an added freshness of bergamot. It's quite an unusual combination and I find myself sniffing constantly. The perfumer is Luca Maffei, previous Art and Olfaction Awards Winner, who has also done work for Houbigant, Jul et Mad, Perris Monte Carlo, and many others. He has done a great job with this and in a sea of "smell similars" he has created something a bit different which is always a pleasant discovery.

Savannah's heart is different and a very original fragrance. It shares some similarities with Black afgano from Nasomatto, althoughj bith are very different perfumes. The fragrance is Woody and Smoky with a Green vibe. It has also a noticeable charge of coffee. It is an extrait de parfum and therefore de perfoermance is good. Scent: 8.5 Longevity: 10 Sillage: 7 Originality: 10 Versatility: 8 Global: 9

A mix of leather and sandalwood. The leather is veg tanned; the sandalwood is creamy, but not overly. There's a slight resinous sweetness running through it. Very appealing. Original, yet familiar and easy to wear. Masculine. Very good longevity and projection.

For sandalwood lovers, in fact I guess it has a much closer comparison to Oud Wood rather than Black Afgano, and the same woody dryness as Absith Nasmatto (or even China White). Leaning masculine

A bit more rhubarb and coffee and a whole lot less oud would have made this one a winner for me. As it is, I have a pb to sell.

Savannah's Heart is an interesting fragrance! And for me before sampling I have to say that the comments here we're more confusing than anything so I will try to be concise: - the similarity to black afgano, yes, it is similar. However where things like LI Fortis and Laylati are afgano clones this is doing it's own thing. I love black afgano and owning both of these is not redundant to me. They are different ... - What this shares with afgano is that same woody, carbonated smell with slight smokiness (not nearly as smoky as BA). That's the whole similarity. The scent opens fruity with rhubarb that is strong at first then settles down but doesn't fully leave. This also has a sweetness that some people call sour, I don't get the sour but I can see where people might be coming from. To me it's sweet like a herbal syrup done in an interesting way. It's also the type of smell that I want to come back to. - do you get any coffee? No, in short. Perhaps an impression of coffee as a backdrop for other notes, but if coffee frags are your cup of ☕, then this ain't it. - well blended, good longevity and decent projection, but not beastly. I would say about 1-2 hours of good projection, afterwards it stays on skin noticeably for the rest of the day. It actually outperforms my recent formulation of black afgano. - I would say this is unisex, but it's also a particular sort of scent. I can see people loving or hating, probably due to the rhubarb and the sharper herbal notes. - conclusion - I think it's a great scent, worth sampling, especially if you are a fan of black afgano or you enjoy the Savannah theme it's going for. It might float your boat, it might not, but this is a good modern, well-blended scent with good ideas and some originality that can be had on the cheap at online discounters. A big like from me!

Ferociously heady amber leads us into the very heart of the African Savannah. Resinous labdanum and a bazaar of spices ignites the body with a spectacular yellow golden flame. Roasted arabica coffee beans dance and sizzle on my sunkissed skin gradually releasing their rich aroma with gentle floral undertones. The invigorating scent of coffee softens considerably during the development of the middle stage when joined by the wild wafts of cumin, hay and the leathery skin of an elephant. There is a sourness with a mineral-metallic tinge which prevails on my skin that I cannot quite place. It is faintly unsavoury yet seductive at the same time. The sensation of heat is captured incredibly well and ripples in the air throughout the perfume and gives us a multi-sensorial experience. The base is a harmony of various woods like sandalwood, cashmere wood and karmawood. Karmawood smells very similar to cedarwood. It has the creaminess of sandalwood with an ambery heft and an animalic touch.

I like it, but all I get since I sprayed it is a whoooole lot of rhubarb. Of course, the bottle just arrived so it's quite possible it has to have a bit of a rest. And rhubarb can often bring a cannabis note to mind. So strangely enough for the moment this reminds me of Kinski... I will update in a few days, but this is my personal first impression taking into account that the bottle has traveled and is cold.

This is OUD OUD OUD with a hint of a very dry coffee ground and a sparkle of bergamot. I do not detect the rhubarb at all. This reminds me of a cross between Atelier Oud Saphir and Boadicea Complex. Leaning toward Complex but not as invasive.

The opening is extremely bitter from bergamot, rhubarb and coffee. It eases a little along the way, but substantial amount of bitterness remains till the end. To me the perfume is perhaps a bit too sharp and austere.
