Mousse II

Smashing! Blind buy! For once I can write one line to describe it perfectly! It’s like a soapy Fougere version on Jacques Fath Green Water EDP (current version).

MOUSSE II is pretty much same with MOUSSE, but with added menthol. I like MOUSSE 100% more. MOUSSE II has the same warm-clove quality, but it is covered with loads of menthol (not mint!) Therefore it makes the composition to appear fresh on the outside. Due to this menthol note MOUSSE II also seems more masculine than feminine. Unfortunately it also lacks depth and staying power as the clove has been toned down very much, after 5 hours it pretty much is a skin scent where you have to try hard to feel the scent upon your skin.

So fresh and spicy, with good longevity. The cloves dominate but cardamom plays a nice supporting role. Realistic and true through the drydown.

94)Menthe menthe menthe rajouté sur le parfum Mousse. Ca détruit complètement la projection dans le parfum et lui supprime toute son originalité, comme un grillage devant une vallée. Par contre c'est une jolie menthe hyper fraiche mais c'en est fini des impressions de grands espaces et la poésie de Mousse. Le seul parfum à la menthe réussi que j'ai jamais senti, j'aime mais il souffre beaucoup de la comparaison. Mint mint and mint added to the fragrance MOUSSE. That completely destroyed the projection in the fragrance and removes all its originality as a fence in front of a valley. As against this is a pretty hyper fresh mint but who break the impressions of spaces and the poetry of MOUSSE. The only successful fragrance with mint I've ever smell, I like it but it pales in comparison.

Unfortunately, on me, this smells like citrus-fresh cleaning product mixed with a chemical-heavy "Cool Water"...and a bit of "Febreeze" mixed in. Lasting power is adequate at roughly 5 or so hours on freshly moisturized skin in a central heating environment. Sillage is moderate at roughly arms length. This smelled much more promising out of the tester, but unfortunately, something in this doesn't "play well" with my skin. Can't win 'em all.
