Chrysolithe

Plum Island, situated in the northeast portion of Massachusetts, is a place I often frequent for its natural beauty. There are these features, the salt pannes, sparsely vegetated, shallow depressions in the marsh surface where water can pool and evaporate, where I love to bird watch and generally observe. On summer days, the cool ocean spray meets the grassy, saline air here. Chrysolithe reminds me of these visits. Durbano uses one of my favorite aromatic oils, hyssop, and its tea-like, sweet-herbaceous aroma, combined with black cumin, with its warm, almost perspiring facets. There is also a ginger and lemon verbena sensation, that folds in like phyllo, and it feels so layered and creamy, almost pulpy. The dry, crisp and earthy white sage which forms the body of Chrysolithe is its most salient quality, as it renders it expansive, imparting a verticality, much like that of Plum Island's salt pannes. It winds down to a sweet smokiness from cedar and vetiver, slightly dirty and musky as it clings close to my skin. This is what I would consider an enlivening summer sizzler of a scent.

Chrysolithe.... Oh MY GOD... i LOVED this one since the first sniff at Olivier's Booth in Esxence 2016. Damn, that man is just lovable with all his amazing meritorious personality and so welcoming aura. And this fragrance here is just superbly amazing with it's tea base that is below the ginger, sage, the slight rosemary and the balanced dose of sweet cinnamon, slight ambergris and vetiver to add a bit cheeky effect to the juice. This is just like wondering in a greeny summery sunny breezy day having twists, jumps, runs, & tumbles all around... just like the cover of "The sound Of Music" Movie. Superbly done and amazingly blended.

Beautiful perfume. Very soothing and calming. Purifying. Smells like a perfect summer day in northern parts of Europe. Warm but not hot. Sunny but with some clouds. It opens with lemony verbena surrounded by aromatic herbs. The star of Chrysolithe is sage, jasmine and fluffy and soft musk. In the base there are hints of smoky vetiver, dry cedar and sensual ambergris. good longevity with okay projection.

I have tried this fragrance only on a mouillette but I have to say that mouillette has perfumed of wonder for days. A sort of lemony ginger scent full of undertones, a lot of caraway and spicy to fill the zest of the all fragrance. Aromatic spicy lemony fresh but rich dirty and warm. A real jewell. Hope to test on me soon to confirm if this is really that missing treasure which it seems to be.

accordo verdissimo e che sa di tubero in cui predomina il vetiver che, dapprima secco, si ammorbidisce grazie ad un meraviglioso sandalo. l'ambra grigia spunta col tempo restituendo l'impressione di un sottobosco autunnale. adatto alle giornate calde, rinfresca senza essere esperidato. ottimo.

The name is totally mistaken: it is not CHRYSOLLITE but CHRYSOLITHE. One L less one H more.

This is beautiful. Trying it blind of the notes, I got sandalwood, a creamy, herbal presence, and something fresh, zippy, like orange zest perhaps, behind that. Soon I also picked up a pinch of spice, and everything nice (which in my mind, means something that smells distinctly human, aka cumin & co, kind of skanky delish). I find this equal parts fresh, zesty, & uplifting, and grounded, dirty, & a bit naughty. It's gorgeous to me, as I love complexity and both of the yin-yang faces this perfume manages to combine so well. (decant/fb wanted!)

Up close this smells like crayons and general dried herbs on my skin, but I kept getting a waft of something nice that made me wonder if it projects differently to others. I wish it had a sharper, fresher herbal smell. I will say when I woke up the next morning the remnants on my arm were a truly delicious sweet skin scent. Unsure about this one but I don't dislike it.

آروم و متین، خویشتن دار و محجوب، قدرتمند و متواضع؛ این حسیه که از پوشیدن کریستولایت بهم دست میده. هیچوقت علاقه ای به نتهای آروماتیک؛ علی الخصوص رزماری نداشته و ندارم؛ اما این نت در کریستولایت به زیبایی نمایش داده شده که واقعا آرامش بخش و شیکه. از طرفی خشونت و تندی و مهابتی که از قلب کار ساطع میشه؛ منو کمی نگران کرد اما خیلی زیبا و ظریف در همون حس و حال آغاز ادغام شد تا رایحه ای بالغ و پخته رو ارائه کنه و بشه روی کریستولایت بعنوان یه کار بهاری خوب حساب باز کرد. کریستولایت با تمام ظرافتها و گوشه هایی که داره؛ یه عطر سرراست و ساده ارائه میکنه. داستانی که با شیرینی میزان و گوارایی شروع میشه و با اضافه شدن هل، دارچین و زیره در پوششی تازه و با نشاط؛ به یه جشن اسپایسی لوکس و تازه تبدیل میشه که شیرین و گواراست. این فضا با وزش نسیمی گیاهی و تازه، حاشیه ای از رزماری به خودش میگیره که به لطف همراهی فضای شاداب اسپایسی، نمایشی درخشان و جذاب ارائه میکنه تا این بستر آروماتیک-اسپایسی درخشان زمینه ای بشه برای قدرت نمایی مریم گلی. طوفانی گیاهی، دودی و خشک از همراهی مریم گلی و سدر؛ قلب کار رو در می نورده تا این تندی فلفلی-گیاهی و دودی، به شکل بی رحمانه ای اذیت کنه و فضایی دلهره آور بدست بده. اما کریستولایت؛ نماد خرد و خویشتن داریه؛ اینجا کسی نمی تونه افراط کنه و جایی برای تعمق و اعتداله؛ پس مریم گلی و سدر یاغی و سرکش هم تحت تأثیر این فضا قرار می گیرن و اون تندی سوزان و گوشه دار خودشون رو کنار گذاشته و حس خاکستری آرام و فلفلی مطبوعی به بستر آروماتیک-اسپایسی درخشان اهدا میکنن که همچنان رایحه ی رزماری و زیره در هیبتی درخشان و زیبا در این بستر جاریه. کریستولایت مثل اعتدال بهاره که در اوج دلبرانگی و ظرافت، قدرت خودش رو به نمایش میذاره و نشانی از طوفانهای عذاب آور و گرمای کشنده در اون نیست. همه چیز به زیبایی کنار هم چیده شده تا عطری لوکس دوست داشتنی از چوب و گیاه و ادویه در فضایی خاکستر گرفته، آرام و درخشان به مشام برسه. یه پیشنهاد عالی برای دوستداران عطرهای آروماتیکِ رزماری محور هست که رزماری در اون به شکل هنرمندانه ای تزیین شده. این عطر در پخش و ماندگاری هم خوب عمل میکنه. کامنت: م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

This is a total Monet on me. Beautiful from far away but when I sniff my arm-yuck. The notes said caraway, which I can sometimes handle, but the description says cumin, which I cannot. It completely ruins what I think would otherwise be a great smelling perfume. The cumin stays the entire time. Finally had to scrub it off.

This scent has one of the most refreshing, interesting openings but within an hour it becomes much less intriguing. The dry down is sweet and inoffensive but not very special.
