Bluebird

I am really loving every fragrance from this house. All the perfumes in the original line are just great. If I didn't buy the sample set of the edps I would have no idea, other than the brand name, that they are even from the same house. They are all so uniquely different from each other. I wouldn't mind owning a bottle of every single one. It's hard to even say that Bluebird is my favorite because they are all equally beautiful, but what makes this stand out for me is the Lily. I love Lily in perfumes. I think it is my favorite note, but if not done right can wind up smelling like cheap soap. This has to be my favorite lily perfume to date. I know that it has other florals in it, but what stands out is this beautiful, slightly spicy, vanilla tinged Casablanca Lily. As a point of reference my favorite Lily perfumes are Cartier Baiser Vole and Tom Ford's Shanghai Lily, with Gucci Bamboo, Liz Taylor's Sparkling White Diamonds, and Donna Karan's Gold running close behind. But there is something about this one, something that has that little extra Oomph that I can't quite define (another note, orange blossom perhaps, or blending?) that hits this right out of the park for me. Silage and longevity are fantastic too. I absolutely love it! This is next on my list for a full bottle after this tester is done. Just want to add that I purchased an oil of another fragrance from this house and wish that I had gotten the edp instead. The oil is nice, but it sits very close to the skin and doesn't project much, though longevity the same. So, if you want a perfume with better silage, get the edp.

Bluebird is quite possibly the best Lily perfume I have smelled. Reminds me a bit of Sparkling White Diamonds By Elizabeth Taylor but w/out the aldehyde. This smells just like Casablanca Lily's. I grow them in my backyard in a flowerbed. They are a treasure. The scent fills the air. I thought Madonna' Truth or Dare and Narcotic Venus were very heavy w/ Lily, but Bluebird beats them hands down. I don't really get anything else but Lily, Lily and more Lily. As I keep smelling it, I can now pick up the neroli and blood orange and musk, but they just add depth and are nuances blending slightly w/ the hypnotic lily accord. This perfume is a Lily solifore and a very beautiful one. Full bottle worthy.

A very soft, pretty scent that reminds me a bit of baby lotion and childhood. Lily dominates, although you can also smell the blood orange. The lily/citrus combo makes me think of Baiser Vole--though BV is much more lily-forward and, overall, a more assertive fragrance. Surprisingly, Bluebird is long-lasting on my skin and also has decent sillage. This performance is especially impressive when you consider that Olivine scents are relatively affordable. Definitely recommended for daytime wear by white floral lovers and anyone looking for a lovely, gentle, nostalgic fragrance. UPDATE: Bought a bottle and love it! A magical perfume.

This is a really yummy orange blossom floral. I got this in their sample pack about a year ago and went back to it every so often and I finally decided to get the full bottle. I'm really excited to have this in my collection.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever smelled. It is stunning, take your breath away beautiful. It is floral, rich (without being heavy), elegant, creamy. Just. Gorgeous.

This smells great! Citrusy white florals and vanilla. You have to enjoy neroli to love it. This perfume is bright and feminine. The drydown becomes a lovely blend of white florals. It's really delightful. The blend is a little soapy but not too much, actually just the right amount to be refreshing, feminine and clean feeling. I'm reviewing the perfume oil, which I transferred to an atomiser with spirits. -

Last June I photographed a wedding which took place in Big Bear, CA. Due to the horrendous fire that moved through that area, much of what had been planned didn't quite happen. One of the results was the need to cut wildflowers to supplement the purchased flowers. Some of the ladies cut local stock plant in hues of purple and magenta from nature paths around the lake. The scent was astounding. For a month after, I searched for a scent that was like those amazingly fragrant, spicy stock blooms. But I was unsuccessful. Tonight, as soon as I opened my sample of Bluebird perfume oil, I was instantly transported back to the fragrance of the beautiful wildflower bouquet gifted to me at that wedding.
