Full Regalia

I bought the sample pack of Olivine Atelier. Upon receiving them, I sniffed each bottle and there are two that made me say "Ooooooo!". This is one of them (Amongst the Waves is the other). The first notes are intensely vanilla and harsh jasmine for me. It's a little off putting to my nose, but it quickly settles down to a BEAUTIFUL soft jasmine. The rose is lost on my skin I suppose because I don't detect it at all. As it settles it turns into a headshoppy warmth due to the patchouli. It blends well with the lingering jasmine. Longevity is excellent and sillage is perfectly moderate. It wafts to my nose often and makes me smile each time. I would not classify this as a white floral as the patchouli is so dominant with my skin chemistry. I wouldn't change a thing. I love this and can't wait to sample the others.

I think this is extraordinary. Patchouli, blackberry, and vanilla with a little creamy jasmine. The blackberry and vanilla are mouthwatering and delicious, but the patchouli darkens it and keeps it from feel gourmand. Feels warm and sultry, like a walk through a berry patch on a summer's night. I've never smelled anything else like it. I feel so, so sexy wearing this.

This was my first full bottle purchase from this line and it is a winner! Stunning white floral. I feel like there is much more than jasmine, has to be some gardenia at least. This is one of the easiest wearing creamy white florals I have ever experienced. If you want to boost it to wear in winter, layer over a solid warm amber. I am reviewing the EdP.

Full Regalia reminds me a bit of Sara Horowitz Origin Story. The patchouli, and jasmine used in both smell familiar to me. Also, both fragrances are very, very musky and I suspect they both use the same type of musk, China Musk. Where they differ is in the amount of patchouli used and the fact that Full Regalia is much sweeter and uses a lot more vanilla and I suspect almond as well in the amber base and also the touch of blackberry gives an almost gourmand feel that The Origin Story lacks. The Origin Story is less sweet and much more patchouli and resin forward and more unisex as well. Full Regalia is like the sweet little sister of Origin Story, she is all wide eyed innocence, marzipan smiles and playdough childish dreams. I would give this fragrance to a teenager, or a woman with a sweet and kind heart. And while I like this fragrance, I won't be picking up a FB. Origin Story is more my vibe, it has more depth and sex appeal. I I will wear my samples though. There is a bit of a playdough vibe here in the dry down but it's not bad. This is pretty. Long lasting as well.
