Dark Wave

My sole signature scent in my early 20s, this reminds me of the most insane and chaotic time in my life and yet it's one of the most comforting, beautiful scents that I own. It comes off so complex and refreshingly different despite the somewhat simple notes listed. Dark wave is spicy, but not too warm. It's deep and woody and dry but pairs perfectly with skin that's freshly wet with rain or a blissful sunny day. Every time I wear this I'm guaranteed someone sniffing me out, whether to ask what it is or ask what I'm doing later that night. This is a scent for people who are feral and more than a little slutty (affectionate). She can do no wrong and she is very beautiful to me!!

This has been my signature fragrance for a few years now. I smelled this on a customer at the art supply store I was working at at the time. She left a beautiful enticing cloud of a woody velvety scent. I asked her what she was wearing and I’ve loved it since. This definitely is a autumnal cool weather scent, though the city I was living in at the time was perpetually shrouded in fog, so I wore it year round. I’ve moved to a city with distinct seasons now, but I wear this as much as possible, on cooler evenings or rainy days.

My first love, and to date, my most complimented fragrance! An enveloping, comforting cardamom mist with resinous (perhaps benzoin?) undertones. I love vetiver, but I have an issue where it tends to become more pronounced and dominate a fragrance on my skin. Not here!

OLO is my favorite fragrance brand, the owner/creator is an amazing perfumer. The associated Sielaf brand also offers some gorgeous scents. Dark Wave is a spicy, woody, seductive fragrance, truly unisex, and ideal for autumn. My favorite OLO scent is Cedar and Rose, which smells like the holy union of both notes. I hope this brand gets more appreciation, great brand great fragrances. The company uses quality ingredients (scent in long lasting and sillage is powerful) but keeps prices down via DIY ethos and offering samples and rollerball only.
