I quite like this scent. It feels like opening an ancient water damaged book in a misty coniferous forest. It is very musky, but combined with the calavria sample it came with, it balances out.

The top is dominated by a sharp, camphorus, slightly smoky resin that recalls black cardamom. In the background there is a strong, hay-like warmth that reminds me of sweet, dried silage. Maybe that’s the vetiver. Overall, this scent smells brown or gold to me: Complex, mature, preserved, and dead. Not fresh, green, and living. That’s not bad, but it’s not what I was expecting with something called Forê(s)t. This is a nicely blended scent, though it’s not for me. I encourage others to try it! I can see it working well in fall and winter.

Dry cedar, damp earth, cold woods at night kind of feel. Trying it again tonight I really smell more of a cardamom feel than I had picked out previously and which rounds out the woods by drying things out with spice. This is a really beautiful perfume and one that feels really nostalgic for me because it became a part of my collection when I was new to living in the PNW and I would often wear this while hiking in the forest, so it brings back lots of memories. I would repurchase this scent with its unique foresty vibes.
