Olympic Rainforest

Wow I love this. Damp, deep green, musky, mossy, and genuinely fernlike. But it also smells distinctly like a perfume, an old-school mossy chypre from the 70’s or 80’s – Aromatics Elixir, Niki de Saint Phalle, Mystere, that sort of thing. Only more realistically foresty. it’s distinctly tangy too – it feels like there’s citrus in there, and after a few minutes a camphor note too. After about half an hour Olympic Rainforest is definitely a camphor scent – that medicinal smell of eucalyptus or tiger balm. It’s a controversial scent, but I’m a die-hard camphor fan so this suits me fine. Here, the eucalyptus is unsweetened and blends with realistic cedarwood and remnants of musk and moss, to give a true deep-forest feeling. The far drydown is a little bit sweet and resinous, but in a subtle way. Olympic Rainforest reminds me of the (much more elaborate and expensive) mossy-camphoraceous chypre that is Bogue Maai. It might be a decent substitute. I think it’s strictly better than Zoologist Koala, a much simpler and sweeter eucalyptus scent; I like Olympic Rainforest’s greater mossiness and complexity. Forest scents are my bag, and Olympic Rainforest is so perfect I am considering getting a full bottle one day.

Holy cedar. This is one of those fragrances that seems to want to jump right out of the bottle into your nose. This is jumpy, punchy; this scent bobs and weaves around you like a monkey then slinks past you like a cat. The greenness is sultry, a delightful combination I attribute to the depth of the woods and leaves. If you give in to this smell, your nose will eventually find the softer forest floor, fizzing to itself beneath the tree cover. After some time the beeswax and myrrh step forward to center the howling flora. These notes together create a narcotic effect, at least on me; when you smell deep, say "ah," and your eyes fall half-closed. Sugarcane appears on my skin here, something I have never experienced with perfume. I feel potent, powerful, even delicious. Very unexpected from this genre of perfume. Occasions I imagine this singing in: Date with the girl from the co-op, after-shower ritual before adventuring into the forest, cold seasonal wear for a witch with lush tattoos, deterring insects while attracting humans. Rituals conducted under the blue glow of Venus. Showed this to a friend right after spraying and they said "I would've named this Sexy Goblin. Or Cunt Beast."

I love outdoor "scents of place/space" and this one really intrigued me. I was expecting a much more typical experience of pine, some smoke, etc. But, that isn't what I smelled with this creation. There was an overall airiness to it, nothing heavy, damp, or rotting. A spacious scent to me. Herbal, spicy, floral, and even flashes of a champhorous/picklely note all come and go. An Observation: I feel like the juice itself develops a couple of months after the first initial sprays from the bottle. Nothing drastic, but with both the sample bottle as well as the 30ml at around the 2 month mark the scent becomes smoother, and more harmonious. I bought the 30ml in the late fall, and realized that It wasn't really a cold weather scent. This week, the spring arrived and I pulled this one out of back with the arrival of warm weather. This stuff was amazing. It smells like an artistically enhanced forest in the springtime. Really performs well in 60-70+ weather for me with good longevity to boot. 8 hours for me with 6 sprays, and a skin scent until you wash it off. Unisex leaning slightly masculine but any woman could easily wear this.

I want to laugh when I read comments about this smelling like an air freshener. It has very bright and fresh fir top notes, but the heart to drydown of the fragrance is extremely earthy. I find it hard to describe it better than its scent pyramid does, really. It smells like wet, hyphae-encrusted bark, decomposing, mossy forest floor, and cool autumn air. Also present is a delicate floral structure that makes it remarkably wearable. Slightly sweet resins and oakmoss lend a sophisticated but natural chypre aroma to the base. Overall, this is one of the most natural and wearable fragrances like this. It's hard not to draw a comparison to Slumberhouse's Norne, but this is the rich, live conifer forest of the Pacific Northwest to Slumberhouse's dark, frozen timbers of Norway. I couldn't possibly recommend a better perfume to a person who wants the rich, natural aroma of the conifer forest. My only qualm is with longevity, but it is possible that I'm just not applying enough from the screw-top bottle.

First whiff of this was almost medicinal, from the balsam and myrhh perhaps. The very next instant was earthy and damp from the mushrooms. Then after a min. or so, the fir and cedar came out. Then it was earthy again. Amazing. There is fir and cedar in the base. After about twenty min. I started to get the wildflowers. What a divine floral to use here. So pretty, soft and sweet (not sugary at all). Wow. the complexity of this is astounding. The heart of this is the wildflowers with oakmoss and something I'm not familiar with, the fern maybe? The oakmoss is a little dusty. The fir and cedar are still in the base. The drydown is fir, myrhh, honey and something earthy and woody, maybe the mushrooms. The honey sweetens this up giving it the perfect balance. The fir and cedar persist in the base, a constant throughout the evolution of this scent. It lasted about five hours with moderate projection. This scent is worth every penny. It's quite a show. The craftsmanship is awe inspiring. True artistry.

This perfume opens on my skin with a sharp pine note that might bring to mind a pine air freshener for some, but give it a few minutes and it blooms into a more rounded, sweeter smell of a Pacific Northwest conifer forest. It's like the sun suddenly dissipating a very dense fog and the warmth letting other plants and trees release their scent. Norne by Slumberhouse reminds me of an evergreen forest in late fall, dank and boggy. Olympic Rainforest reminds me more of an evergreen forest before the rains hit, maybe early fall when it warms up in the afternoon and there might still be a few wildflowers blooming in the meadows. Later in the drydown there is a beautiful, restrained oakmoss note which, with the mushroom absolute, gives the impression of a more damp forest than the opening and middle. The longevity on my skin is about 4-5 hours. Love this perfume!!

I am a fan, after asking around about forest smells this is the best so far. Last very well, a lingering skin scent after 12 hours on me. Opens very dark and dank. I get notes not mentioned above: yarrow, camphor, loamy earth. Think of it like a day in the forest, at dawn the forest is still wet and dewey. As the scent/day progresses the earth dries out and the sun starts shining. Soon it loses some mustyness and gets slightly sweet in the dense foliage vibe. Very dark green with a hint of pine, mint and bitter burnt stump. And finaly once the scent hits the zenith and the damp is evaporated there is a lovley strong ceder and faint beeswax. My fav Olympic Orchid, I will get the full bottle eventualy. ⛤⛤⛤⛤⛤ ...Got my full bottle and scent it very consistent with my sample - still love it.

From Olympic Rainforest I get eucalyptus, pine, cedar, moss, and mushrooms. Aromatic green, earthy brown. Brings me to an old, mystical forest. The reviewer before me said that Olympic Rainforest smells like the decomposing bodies they come across as a police officer, masked by Vick's Vapo Rub. The Vick's comment makes sense, since there's a prominent eucalyptus note. I'm surprised they're reminded of bodies. Perhaps it's the slight sweet and warmth, combined with an earthy aspect that's creeping them out. However, I get no animalic or fruity notes, nothing rancid. I also see a few comments about this smelling like gum ... I wonder if it's the eucalyptus, which can remind of mint or wintergreen, associated with gum. For me this is a beautiful, natural fragrance.

This is outstanding and I mean everything about it in all its phases-from initial application all the way to the dry down which is divine. Rainforest is so well crafted, deep and rich that this is truly a scent born of pure genius. It genuinely replicates the smell of a real forest and I know forest because I live smack dab in the middle of one that is comprised of firs, pines, spruces, cedars, larches, birches and ferns and I hike it all year round. I own several forest scents and this is the best, hands down. I never would have imagined that Slumberhouse's Norne or Vikt could be topped but this did it. Simply superb and I am very impressed with not only the scent but its longevity and sillage. Truly remarkable.

first exposure is INCREDIBLY petrichor, but like rain on asphalt, and frankly the BEST capture of it i've ever smelled; it quickly changes to cedar, camphor, and wet earth. like all of Ellen Covey's scents that i've tried, there is something so lush and organic here. pacific botany in a bottle. i agree that it has pretty low projection after it dries down, but once it does, it gets darker and sweeter; the myrrh and flowers come through at that point. even though its quite subtle by the end of the day of wearing it, i'm obsessed with the sensual thing it morphs into. margin, zachary gray remix - benoit pioulard, zachary gray what still remains - azaleh

Just perfect. I ordered a 5ml travel spray directly from OO and after a few wears I’m making this a permanent addition to my wardrobe. It starts off bracing and takes me on a sunrise to sunset journey in an old growth mixed forest. If my soul had a smell it would be this. Just the most ephemeral essence of being deep in the backcountry in late March. All the winter chill has left the woods and the humid warmth of summer is still far away. Highly experiential and the polar opposite of linear. Also, completely unlike anything else I’ve ever tried. Ellen Covey is a virtuoso.

A much more interesting fragrance than the more recognized woodcut imho, I think this one is rather stunning and is one of the few fragrances that made my hair stand on end when I first smelled it. This is lush forest but not too literal a pine resin fragrance like some forest ones are, this one is more than the sum of its parts with the pine yes but also the large oakmoss portion and the florals lending a hand. Great job by Dr. Covey on this, it's just the sort of fragrance that I love. ps. fans of Rogue's Mouse Illumine, you'll really like this one too I would think.

It smells like a mountain forest, but im not sure if its a *rainforest* . Not as damp, or wet as I had hoped, but it does evoke an evergreen alpine forest with strong balsam fir and cedarwood notes. I bought it for my boyfriend who grew up in the Appalachian mountains and he absolutely loves it. Total "hiker" fragrance, verrrry wood-sy, which makes it read a bit more masculine to me, but is absolutely wearable by anyone who loves the outdoors. The entire Portland polycule probably smells like this by now lol.

Fir and pine and spruce and evergreen... basically this huge wet coniferous forest; the damp tree trunks, the bitter resinous sap, and earthy dirt covered in ferny undergrowth littered with mushrooms. All this foliage after a healthy, heavy rainfall. There's a sweetness to it, not sugary, but like the sweetness of freshly cut, healthy wood if you've ever smelled it. I usually stay far away from fragrances with any sort of interpretation of a conifer, but this one is really, really well done!

This is incredibly evocative, I expected that would be more of an interpretation, but it really sends me back to hiking in the redwoods. It has that damp, earthy spicy-redwood scent of the forest floor, you can almost feel the cool mist on your face and the soft layers of bark under your feet. I agree with nargis' review, it feels very alive. My only complaint is that it fades off a little too quickly and becomes very very light. This is something special though.

This is a trip through the northwest condensed in a bottle. Your hike starts through a recently burned forest, where all that's left is smoldering conifers and tortured earth. You pass through this section pretty quickly to the untouched forest beyond. Dank earth, moss, ferns, and evergreens in profusion. The sweet flowering bushes along the creek add a touch of sweetness to an otherwise rustic, woody smell. Incredibly well done. Good projection and longevity.

Olympic Rainforest smells like bitter, dark green foliage to me. I imagine rather mixed forest, not just evergreen. The scent is quite natural and very pleasant. When I think of rainforest, I expect something hot and tropical, but Olympic Rainforest is quite cool, although I can definitely feel the humidity there. This is so far my second favorite scent from the house, after Blackbird. Better than Slumberhouse Norne IMHO.

Disappointed that this did not work for me at all. It was very linear, starting out like intense pine and never really becoming anything else. It definitely smelled like the kind of cough drops I hate. The menthol quality made me gag after some time, at which point I had to scrub--and I rarely scrub. Being from northern California I've smelled my share of forests, and this to me was not natural, yes, more like Pine Sol.

This is just about as close as I've came to a true forest scent. It opens with a strong whiff of freshly cut pine but that mellows quickly with the cedar. The oakmoss gives it richness & keeps it from being to "piney". I couldn't really detect anything that reminded me of a mushroom but maybe that's the note that gives it that extra depth.

I lived in the Pacific Northwest for a while, and this is exactly my idealized memories of the forests there, translated into perfume. I'll take Atomikbomb_'s word that it isn't exactly like what it is when you are there on the ground, but if you move away from the PacNW, this is what you will remember it being like. What a stunner.

Wow! Applying this scent takes me to the forests of the Northwest Coast. The soil, ferns, evergreens and rain are present and extremely well blended. This is the perfect sports scent and nothing like the usual synthetic mess that populates this catagory . Another beautiful and evocative scent from Dr.Covey.

made me emotional. it is absolutely rainforest, but it's northwest, cold, fern type rainforest (....OLYMPIC rainforest, even....) so don't go in looking for tropical. it's not that! different kind of rainforest. washington rainforest.

Olympic Rainforest was one of my early loves from Olympic Orchids. This perfume has a pensive, calming, almost therapeutic quality. It's classically unisex, and well-suited to woolly sweaters on blustery days.

Look at the notes, they are like a walk in the woods, so it is, love looking for mushrooms in its layers :-)) Ellen's fragrances they are never sharp, painful, you can always find a sun ray in the dark.

As someone who craves tree smells, I absolutely love this. It is so fresh and evocative, really takes me back to the forests of my childhood.

Olympic Rainforest is pine bark and eucalyptus up front. It’s woody, green, earthy, bright. It truly does embody the forest.

This isn't quite like the Olympic Rainforest (I live here), but that particular scent cannot be entirely contained. Rich mycelium, soggy to brimming mosses, sunlight on fallen needles and the unparalleled composition of the soil itself - the PNW is unbottle-able. This however, is interesting in it's own right. I do enjoy this, and it's very much NOT linear. It opens with a sharp camphorous blast of what I perceive as spruce or fir, as well as something almost like juniper. I know exactly what Boletus edulis smell and taste like, and it's not precisely that (again, no fault here, it just can't be bottled), but there is a sweet earthiness and richness. It's not like the funky truffle note in Black Orchid, so if you hate mushrooms, I don't think it's a deal breaker. This does have a middle stage to me, and it's more consistent of woods and resins, and less of needles themselves. I enjoy how it radiates, and this does well outside in cool PNW air...very fitting 🌲🌫 The final stage is oddly lemony, and that myrrh is sweet and oily...myrrh is impossible for me to explain, but it's conjunction with the Virginia cedar (not the same as western red cedars here at home) is almost tart. I like this, it feel that it has elements of the Olympics, and employs a lot of artistic liberty. It seems like more of a tribute to this area than an exercise in realism. OR is captivating and raw, and a ride that I hope more people experience.

Oh my...this perfume is phenomenal, sublime, majestic, embracing...just like the forest of my childhood. Me and my Dad used to spend innumerable weekends at his forester friend. In the summer, I would wake up to the song of millions of birds, eat my breakfast as fast as I could, take the dog and spend the day roaming the forest. I had my secret places, and while walking, I would compose fairy tales in my head. This perfume starts with the timber shed at the end of the garden, the starting poing of my walks: freshly cut pine, sap and resin. Then I enter the woods, it is early in the morning, there is dew dripping from the foliage and sparkling on the undergrowth. I can smell moss, fern, mushrooms, tree bark. Then slowly, as it gets warmer, the flowers start to emit their sweet fragrance. The change from the cool, wet pine topnotes through the floral heart and warm, honeyed wood drydown is like the passing of a summer's day in the forest. I don't understand how anyone can experiene this fragrance as simple or - horribile dictu - air freshener like! I personally think it is a complex and beautiful perfume, definitely one of the very best in the genre.

A light and transparent forest scent that’s thinned and obscured by a misty drizzle. But honestly, I find this one a bit peculiar. The evergreens, dirt, and wildflowers are a nice combination, and I like that this doesn’t go into deep dark pine territory as it easily could; though I love that genre, this take sets Olympic Rainforest apart. There’s a soft earthiness from the soil, balanced by wet greenery, but then it all rests on a sweet but almost minty base that reminds me a bit of the original flavor of Trident gum. Maybe that’s just the way the camphoraceous balsams express themselves against the softer backdrop, but I also get the sense that it’s an odd whiff of some underlying synthetics that are just a bit too dialed up for me, trying to overemphasize the smell of rain. I’m glad some others seem to find this a true-to-place take on the Pacific Northwest. I don’t dislike it, but it’s also not quite clicking for me.

To start, I have to say this is the most refreshing perfume I have ever smelled. I just wanted to drink a big, tall glass of ice cold mountain spring water. Olympic Rainforest is a full, lush green forest just after the first spring rain. Dewdrops glistening on everything, nothing but quiet. Just you, the forest, and the family of deer camouflaged behind thick brush. Fresh greens and mushrooms are sprouting underfoot. You come upon a clearing and realize that you have walked into a meadow full of lush, colorful,fragrant wildflowers. This is how I see Olympic Rainforest. A fresh, vibrant, lush forest with hints of undergrowth, and wildflowers mingling with honey in the drydown to give it some sweetness. Very, very lovely and realistic. Definately on my wantlist, you can't beat the price!:) I also see this very nicely unisex. Perfect for nature lovers like me and lovers of pine scents.;)

Just a managed to get a little bottle of this from a fellow collector. It has a lovely true-to-life opening which, unfortunately, only lasts for about 15 minutes on me. In that 15 minutes, I crash-land head-first into the loamy soil of a coniferous forest. A deeply, undeniably earthy scent which quickly ascends to a bright and bitter herbal peak, like a timelapse of artemisia sprouting, growing and flowering from the detritus on the forest floor. But just as quickly, the light shifts, the flowers wilt and this incredibly balanced sweetness emerges. A little smokey, slightly cedar-y but definitely sweet. I think it must be the bee balm another reviewer mentioned. And then it continues like that for a few hours until my skin eats it up. In short; it reminds me of small batch Italian amari; herbal, bitter, complex but carried by a sweet base that crystallises as it dries.

Interesting notes listed... Im not too sure what Canadian balsam smells like but i do know that it's used for cough syrup. I was contemplating if i had smelled anything like this...smells like a cleaned up version of Slumberhouse's Norne. This starts out very cedary, earthy and a bit medicinal(probably contributed by the Canadian Balsam). On my skin, the longevity is sort of lacking, and the sillage is poor to average. Being a fan of gourmand, I can appreciate the sweetness in this somewhat piney scent. Overall, I would rate this between average and good; not "oh my god this is mind blowing". I also bought the soap which is overall better than the fragrance. Like the fragrance, the soap also has a sweet touch. Well made. I hoped and wished rainforest could've lasted longer on my skin. This fragrance is right on time for primaveral testings.

سلام شروع کار با هجوم شدیدی از روایح صمغی و چوبی از نوع درختان سوزنی مواجه هستید مخلوطی از رایحه صمغ مر در ترکیب با صمغ و شیره درخت کاج و صنوبر. مثل این هست که شاخه های تازه کاج بهمراه برگ های سوزنی رو با دست تون بشکونید و له کنید یا صمغ تازه ای که از شکاف های تنه درخت بیرون ریخته رو استشمام کنید اگه رطوبت بعد از باران رو هم بهش اضافه کنید می تونید رایحه این عطر رو بهتر تصور کنید. در ادامه با فروکش کردن حالت صمغی، روایح خاکی به کار اضافه می شوند تا حس و فضای جنگل رو بهتر شبیه سازی کنند. حالت خاکی که از قارچ و خزه ساخته میشه کمی من رو یاد فضای خاکی تام فورد اکستریم انداخت. در انتها با کم شدن روایح چوبی یه شیرینی عسلی ضعیف و مهارشده به مشام میرسه. اگه عاشق روایح چوبی اسپایسی و تلخ هستید باید حتما این عطر رو تست کنید. وجودتان همیشه عطرآگین

Psh, this is no air freshener, hasn't anybody every trimmed evergreen before???!!! So... zesty, spicy, resinous, mossy, evergreen. A moss covered knoll with mushrooms sitting in lush forest. a bit of flowers poking through. A lumberjack scent. The mushroom is not fetid, but adds character! Be adventurous people! Before synthetics, this was perfume! I shall not relegate pine to the room fragrance corner, no I will wear it! A confident woman's scent, who's at home in the forest. A hippie or nature lover. Let it settle people, such eager beavers. I don't really care for the myrrh here, but it does work and it is a lovely masterpiece of a scent. I suggest you at least like nature if you want to sample this and not be disappointed.

Olympic Rainforest is the Pacific Northwest all at once. Dewy, wet, damp. Fresh balsams, evergreens, sweet and lush -- pine, camphor, wood, lemon. Bitter decaying fir needles saturated with rain, releasing the last of their sweet thermic breath. Pulpy fresh fungi, fat nectarous raindrops on their caps, bugs with glistening armour scurrying across the wooded floor. This forest is alive and dynamic, full of animation... you can even smell the ferns unfurling. I've lived in the PNW for 17 years and Ellen Covey is expert in her olfactory realism. Some environmental perfumes are challenging to wear as they are flattened into still life, but Dr. Covey magically breathes masterfully balanced life into every bottle she creates.

It's taken me a long time to write a review for this. This should be a no brainer. I grew up in a forest a few miles from Port Orford with ferns and mushrooms and rhododendrons tall enough to climb. This should smell like home. I like it and I think it does a really good job of capturing the forest floor and trees but something stops short of it being a love. There is something too harsh in the foliage, too medicinal. It is so close that I think it's just my mood and I keep revisiting instead of writing this review, but it's just not quite there. If I can divorce myself from the scent I know I really enjoy this, especially after the first hour when it mellows out to a dusty cedar, myrrh, and evergreen needles

The opening is quite strong medicinal, which is really a surprise (in a bad way), but really happy that its gone within minutes. Soon mushroom and pine will take the centre stage with some other notes in the background that my nose cant really configure. Really complex fragrance. Although they are no where near the same, i will put it in the same category as the night flyer, truly intriguing, perfectly capture the picture of a moist rainforest ground (as oppose to the cave in night flyer). Really happy with my sample, and the fact that this is being offered in a 30ml bottle for 65 dollar, its definitely going to be in line for one of my next purchases.

I can't believe bay laurel is not listed in the notes because that is the what I detect the most or is that the myrrh? The opening of Olympic Rainforest comes on very strong with a very sharp damp smell of fir/pine along with the smell of damp soil. As the fragrance dries down it smells less damp. It's as if the damp forest floor has dried out bringing out the smell of the florals. The first time I tried this I never could detect the beeswax note. Today I can. This is definitely niche. I wish the floral component was more pronounced but other than that I like this one. Olympic Rainforest is worth trying if you like the smell of a damp evergreen forest.

I'll echo the "medicinal" and "natural" comments here--it's like an herbal liqueur. An amaro siphoned from a hole dug out of a coniferous forest floor, maybe. In my case, these are all good things, but I could see it being a bit polarizing. I agree with the reviewer that said it would make a great candle! So far I'm really impressed with all of the Olympic Orchids scents I've smelled. Complex, beautiful stuff.

Olympic Rainforest is definitely an interesting fragrance. At first it is a fairly harsh oakmoss and cedar. In a few moments I realized what it reminded me of - Demeter's Zombie for Him. (Don't laugh, they share a few notes, like oakmoss and mushroom). But soon afterward OR starts to calm down to a softer cedar wrapped in slightly sweet beeswax. And after 2-3 hours it's a nice cedar-y/balsam-y skin scent.

Olympic Orchids is one of my favourite houses because their perfumes smell very natural and realistic. This is no exception. It is green, very very green. I smell a damp forest, surrounded by fog. It is very atmospheric and fascinating. My only problem is that I smell a lot of... thyme. Lol. Strong thyme and I am not a fan of it. But apart from that, it is a luscious and almost creepy green damp forest.

I love the wet, fungal earthiness that dominates the opening for me before the pine needles take over. After that, I get the fern smell as well but it stays wet and earthy like when the ground is steaming after a downpour and you're walking along a trail. I've noticed that at about the 4-6 hour mark, though, the cedar really comes through and it's almost like you're sitting on a fallen cedar log.

It smells like Papyrus font and an Enya CD, but not in a head shop patchouli way. It's rich and smells like an herbal tonic and feels very new age-y in that sense. Very realistic damp, earthy, coniferous scent that still has these weird savory camphor aspects to it that make it feel more like a herbal potion or tincture than being in the outdoors. It works though, it tells a really rich story.

I didn’t get this one at first. It felt almost too quiet. But then it stayed. Close, very mineral, almost like it was waiting. And suddenly it just clicked. It’s one of those scents that doesn’t try to impress anyone. It’s more for you than for the world. And the more time you spend with it, the more it pulls you in. Not loud, very natural, it stays in your head. It feels real.

In theory I should absolutely love this fragrance, and I really love what it's trying to do. However, all I can smell is sweet/pink bubblegum that happen to brush up with the mint gum in the candy aisle. It's hard for me to really smell the other wonderful notes behind what I imagine is an unintentional byproduct of the intended notes and ingredients.

Very sharp opening, like walking into a showroom of freshly waxed wooden furniture. To my nose, this is not a photorealistic scent for an actual hike in Olympic National Park. This seems too green, and I keep waiting for the funk of decay to set in. Pleasant to sample, but not something I would wear on a regular basis.

In the opening, the myrtle is very herbal and almost mint/menthol. It smells like a high quality salve. As it dries down, the wood and aromatic evergreen qualities peek through. The sweet freshness of the bee balm, the floral spice of the rhododendron, and the damp earth and velvety mushrooms.

It felt like aromatherapy! Like if I was walking in a Canadian forest after the rain. I can remember smelling pine, moss and a little dirt. I enjoyed it a lot. This is an introverted scent. Something someone wears for oneself. Very relaxing I must say!

I am sure this would be the perfect scent for your outdoorsy man. There is just a hint of floral here with the aromatic tone set by the coniferous notes. Everything I try from this house is very well constructed. As always I would recommend samples.
