Caden

From my amateur nose I get the notes that are listed, at least most of them, and I also get a strong burnt plastic note when up close to skin in the first couple of hours. I just received my bottle yesterday and contrary to my last statement, and after the hype, it is as good as I was expecting it to be. I have Royal Incense, Wanderlust, Oud Aquilaria and Khanjar, all from the same house but complete polar opposites from each other and the bottle and packaging is as good and consistent with all of those listed. It is as long lasting and ticks all of my expectations. As with most of my fragrances, the dry down is where it really needs to be judged and as much as what I would initially find off-putting is there close up, who really gets as close as within 5mm of your skin other than maybe a significant other for only a short period of time? The scent trail is, I think for most people, the place that is focused on, and why people wear scents. Although I love to smell good for myself, if you want to smell good for other people, this will get noticed. It's dark, smoky, vanilla, slightly sweet and the saffron, suede and spice project strong but the balance is there with the tonka and late coffee to not let any one thing be dominant and I think that's what makes it far better than the "reminds me of" other scents. To me, I do get strong elements of Babycat together with RMN5 but I don't find myself smelling my arm nearly as much as I do with Caden and hence I will buy again and I'll probably give away my Babycat and RMN5 now as they are good, but both have now been surpassed by this which means they'll now forever be bypassed on the shelf. I get no Side Effect in it at all, but that doesn't mean it's not there, my nose might be faulty. Caden does everything I want in that realm of fragrance. It still has the remnants of the initial burnt scent after 3 hours skin to nose but the deep dry down is a stunning example of a fragrance that smells far better in the air than on your skin, providing it still projects after some time, and this does. This is an 9 out of 10 for me. It's a stunning example of what, in my experience, this house produces and it is above Royal Incense which is a great favourite of mine. Surely this house was greatly underrated before Caden won the award for 2025. Maybe it's still not that readily available to the masses or worn in a crowd and at least a few of us that get it will still smell remotely unique. The bonus is that I got mine for less than $200/£150 and it is an absolute bargain in my view. It's now taken me so long to type this message as I'm a slow writer and I've had three glasses of wine since I started writing and the burnt plastic has now completely disappeared and has now developed into this wonderfully addictive elixir. I'm clearly no expert but it now smells even better. Fantastic.

Easily lasts 24+ hours on my skin... and yes, trust me on this one. Even after a shower, I can still catch subtle whispers of it the next day.

I have purchased all OMANLUXURY fragrances directly from the online store and shipped from Muscat. It a truly luxurious shopping experience. All bottles come with complementary engraving. With CADEN my collection is complete. I'm a huge fan of SERENITY in the winter time. And CADEN gives me a gentler and powerful alternative when leather just doesn't fit. One spray from the excellent sprayer will go a long way. CADEN opens up STRONG like a lion. Woody, Creamy and slightly leathery. By any means is this a feminine fragrance. As all OMANLUXURY it requires some time to develop. Warm and spicy. A little bit chocolate and creamy vanilla in the back. It is an Oriental fragrance that I have the highest regards for. Big compliment to OMANLUXURY for their passion. For me 10/10 it doesn't get any better than this. I understand the point of comparing it to the Oman hospitality, that I yet have to experience. Caden has easily become my signature scent for fall and winter. After spending time with it, I completely understand why it won an award. This is, without exaggeration, one of the most beautiful scents I own. I don’t know if everyone will agree, but to me it smells like marshmallow roasting over a campfire — warm, smoky, sweet, and incredibly cozy. At the same time, it’s super sexy and almost edible. The way the notes blend together is amazing; nothing feels sharp or out of place. It’s just smooth, comforting perfection. The performance is beast mode. Longevity and projection are both excellent, and the compliments don’t stop. Even when people don’t say anything, you can tell they noticed something smells really good — don’t ask me how I know, I just know. I’ve already used half the bottle, and I would 100% repurchase once it’s finished. Considering the quality and performance, the price is very reasonable. This one is staying in my rotation for a long time.

The opening surprised me — strong leather with a slightly scratchy resinous edge. I see people compare it to Babycat, but honestly I don’t see the resemblance. After about 10–15 minutes the fragrance starts to smooth out beautifully. The leather softens and a refined vanilla appears, creating a dark, mysterious and very elegant scent. The drydown really impressed me. It’s complex, resinous, slightly smoky with a deep vanilla in the background — much darker and more sophisticated than Babycat’s cozy sweet vanilla. Projection is strong at first but settles into something very refined. Definitely a fragrance that deserves more wearings.

The more popular something gets, the more haters it gets. Caden is not the best thing ever (that's Voyage from the same house), but it's very good. The opening and first 4 hours is a 10/10. To me, the opening is a bit herbal and medicinal, in the best way. Then it's a few hours of smooth soft leather, roasted coffee beans, and warm spices. The later dry down is where it becomes a bit boring. Not bad, just not interesting anymore, only vanilla suede remains. I'll be getting a full bottle once the popularity dies down a bit and prices fall in line with others from the brand.

Winter banger. Wouldnt call this blind buy safe, even if you like babycat. Because this does the Babycat profile in a very unique way. The coffee adds an almost sourness to the spicy sweet vanilla you would find in Babycat that, in my opinion, adds so much depth and character to an already great scent. However, I can acknowledge that this twist can turn a lot of people off of it as well. Also very strong and lasts a while. Just a great winter fragrance all around. So if youre looking for a unique twist on Babycat, this is a great one to try. One of my favorites. 10/10

Sweet Saffron. Saffron dominates Caden with its sweet, warm, spicy embrace. Along with a thick and opulent vanilla/amber sweetness. Sweet, warm spicy, ambery, vanillic. At moments, I get hints of sweet tobacco as well. It's very similar to Initio Side Effect & Alghabra Eye of Seven Hills. Same scent profile (amber, vanilla, saffron). The occasional sweet tobacco hints bring pictures of CH Mystery Tobacco & PdM Carlisle to my mind. Overall, beautiful scent but not very innovative. Masculine-leaning winter scent. I "Love" this group of scents.

Caden by Omanluxury is one of those fragrances that instantly grabs your attention and makes you feel a little more alive. From the first spray, it wraps you in this warm, smoky, slightly sweet cloud that somehow feels both bold and comforting at the same time. Wearing it feels like stepping into a cozy, upscale lounge where everything smells a little mysterious but incredibly inviting. It’s rich without being heavy, playful without losing its class. Every time I wear it, it feels like I’m carrying a little spark of energy with me all day.

This is wonderful although I did not like it at first. It's very much a masculine fragrance but I personally loved it and think there's a certain kind of woman who could pull this off for sure. It's so good for really cold weather. There's a booziness in this that is quite addicting and also a light sweetness in the background. The spices are very present but everything in this is well blended. It's not screechy whatsoever. It has depth and it's warm. It took me a couple wears to feel this way though so be weary if you're a woman.

Cade oil and saffron have quickly become one of my favorite notes within fragrances, and this definitely hits you with both. Well, it doesn't hit you with both, it's a bold smell but it isn't punchy in terms of its immediate strength. It is a warm smelling fragrance with a spiced tone that smells fantastic and lasts for a while. It's not anything crazy, but it is a well-crafted fragrance. I need to wear this one too, the bunch that I ended up getting ended up being all hits and I'm really happy about it.

Niche Fragrance of the Year 2025 — and deservedly so. Caden opens with a bold, smoky flourish of saffron, cardamom, cade oil, and boozy notes, announcing itself like a grand welcome. The heart of coffee, suede, and benzoin is dark, textured, and addictively sophisticated — roasted, not sweet. The base of vanilla, tonka, amberwood, guaiac wood, and labdanum settles into a warm, resinous embrace that lasts for hours. This is the scent of Omani hospitality at its most unforgettable. 10/10

This fragrance is built around the Omani generosity and hospitality of guests. Omanis are famous for their welcome sweets “hala omani” and arabic coffee. They wanted to encapsulate these moments in this bottle of perfume and to my astonishment, they did it marvelously. I don’t ever see myself owning a bottle of this not because it is not good enough or on the pricier side, but because I can’t find the occasions to wear it and I am not a collector.

i love this. it opens with a strong af saffron and leather note, and honestly, im not the biggest fan of saffron so thankfully its not as piercing as it dries down. the suede and saffron in here is not as rubbery feeling as babycat. the vanilla comes through while being backed by coffee and it is gorgeous. i need to give this a few more wears to truly compare to babycat, but its looking like i might actually prefer this.

I finally got my hands on a sample of the glorified Caden and it was... splendid. I guess I'm a cade oil fan. The scent opens up a little smoky, but clears up in a couple of minutes, leaving you with brown suede and Kahlúa. The drydown is basically vanilla-amber-wood with a resemblance to pastries. Everything here is polished, with medium-strong projection and above-average longevity.

This is honestly the best smelling anything I've every smelt. Combine this with the fact it lasts and projects and you get the niche fragrance of the year 2025. The saffron opens the fragrance beautifully, before it settles down and allows the careful blend of vanilla, saffron and suede to steal the show, drawing everyone in the room to you.

Upon opening I hated this fragrance because the leather was very prominent and I generally don't like that sort of vibe, but after an hour it dries down into a super smooth vanilla coffee scent and its absolutely fantastic. If you don't like leather this would be a good one to start with since it disappears in the dry down for me.

Not getting the Babaycat, nor Side Effect here. Both are way more syrupy vanillas. This is more thick dry-tinged vanilla like one from Shalimar Vanilla Millesime/ode a la Vanille. With fiery saffron and suede it has the charred resinous vibe that many often refer to as rubber. Perfect for fall-winter nighttime to feel sexy af.

Oman Luxury Caden is a strong contender—and a deserving winner—for Best Fragrance of 2025. Although it’s frequently compared to YSL Babycat, Caden offers a more polished and balanced composition. It refines the Babycat concept, delivering a smoother and more sophisticated overall scent profile.

Caden is a leathery vanilla scent that hangs around for a long time. Have gotten multiple compliments on it surprisingly, and the dry down is amazing. Just settles in like you would in a warm blanket by the fireplace.

Starts off with a soft suade and but strong spices. Think stronger YSL Babycat. The dry down is extremely close to Side effect by Initio. You basically get 2 amazing fragrances in one with this one.

I absolutely love this, reminds me a lot of side effect but the older batches. Notes don’t list cherry but I 100% pick it up to my nose, if you like baby cat you’ll definitely love this

This perfume is just a pure saffron that makes you feel like you’re in the saffron farms of iran. Absolute phenomenal of a scent. Eternally lasting and smells like sex in a bottle

Is this produced by Omanluxury or by Matier Premiere. It reminds of their releases if they wanted to produce a Babycat style fragrance. I don't love it, but I like it. The opening is challenging and overrun by saffron. However, half an hour in, it becomes a much much nicer smooth boozy leather/vanilla. I wouldn't go out to meet people immediately after spraying this, I would be scared of their reaction, but leaving after half an hour, yes certainly. I have a bottle of it, and I will wear it in winter when I want something strong and long lasting, but in this style of fragrances, my favorite is not this one, Babycat, or RM #5, but rather Tom Ford Eau De Ombre Leather. If you like Crystal Saffron, this is better, nicer, and sweater, and equally strong if not stronger. BTW I tried a fragrance at Brooks Brother's outlet called Broadway. Smells similar but not as strong as this one. It seems this style of fragrances has become a recent trend. My favorite from Omanluxury is Royal Incense. My favorite leather fragrances are Ombre Leather and Kajal IV.

Smells really good, a big saffron bomb throughout the longevity of the fragrance. It does NOT smell like babycat, not sure what people are getting. I do however, in the farrrr dry down get something reminiscent of the far dry down on side effect. I was also getting hints of chanel Le Lion and a bit of oud cadenza from it too but then when i compared it to them side by side, they were noticeably different. Just having a hard time comparing it to anything i've put my nose to and am just loving the unique factor of it.

It does smell great, don’t get me wrong. But.. for the price and scent profile. Not worth it. It’s a spiced up sweet leather. This is definitely one of those fragrances that got ALOT of hype from fragranceflan (mainly) and y’all just got caught on the wave. Omanluxury is a phenomenal house and you guys should check out the other offerings, because those are true niche and hidden bangers. Zafar, Khanjar and Royal Incense, just to name a few. I think this was overhyped to sh_t by the usual suspect(s). It's a good niche fragrance but it's not unique or ground breaking, and it is a bit linear to me (Leather accord). It's not going to take you on a trip through different landscapes like Amouage fragrances do. Price wise it beats the similar ones already mentioned in this board, so this is a positive. The brand has other more insteresting products imho. I guess I am a sucker for everything related to Oman.

Honest review: Caden on my left hand, Pharaoh on my right. The dry Down on Caden is a little more oily but I have to be real here. Pharaoh Is an exact duplicate of Caden. 1-1 there is no real way to tell the difference except the loss of 225 from your bank account. I’ll take Pharaoh over Canden any day of the week. Look at my owned profile if you have any doubts about my dedication to spending money on bottles.

Personally, I get way more "burnt plastic" from Babycat than Caden. It just feels smoother and more refined. Not saying that Babycat is of bad quality, not at all. Instead, Babycat feels like it would suit more abrasive and rough types. While Caden smells quite a bit more friendly and benevolent. One will break your heart and empty your wallet, and the other one will shower you with gifts and affection.

The scent of tires burning out in front of the high school while wearing a leather jacket with a cheap cigarette between your lips.... but yet, someone dropped some vanilla ice cream sandwich on the floorboards an hour ago because it is melted and sticky on the truck floorboards. But yet, I kind of like it.

Very good. Very similar to Babycat but the Saffron differentiates them . Leathery vanilla with a punchy slightly metallic saffron which is an interesting switch( which i personally think is better without) . Strong masculine vanilla. But personally dont like the metallic synthetic saffron smell.

This smells really good. Opening hits you with strong leather and gives babycat vibes. Then it transitions into something similar to side effect, and in the drydown it kinda stays that way but gets very dull, sweet and annoying. Pretty solid fragrance, but babycat is way better. Solid 7.8/10

It takes dnas from the YSL, Babycat. Compared with this legend one, It emphasizes the Saffron stronger. From the top note to around 3 hrs. u can catch more saffron than babycat with some slight coffee notes together. In the drydown, It's almost identical to babycat.

It's okay. It's a different take on Initio's Side Effect pre-formulation. (New Side Effect sucks hard) If I ever run out of my original Side Effect bottle, I wouldn't repurchase, but if I need to get close to it, I'll probably get this one.

This is a dupe of YSL Babycat. Rayhaan Pharoah and it is in the family of Nishani Ani. Heathery vanilla - amber....

I grabbed the bottle on its first launch...but after giving few chances i actually give away the bottle to a friend... its reminded me of rosendo 5 which am not a big fan of yes i liked when i was not aware before with the fragrances like vanille havane etc but R5 is bigg pass for me and its when come to drydown its starting giving babycat vibes which is senior or junior brother of rosendo 5.. so the point is this fragrance does not smell anything new but same time this will make u feel something new i think thats the only reason its won the award.. because its twisted very well..i think there no need to debate on lasting or projection we all know the babycat and rosendo 5 lasting so this is basicaly a inspired version.. hot ironed smell :) try before you buy .. 7/10

If you think Caden is similar to Babycat or Side Effect then you need to go see a doctor. This is nothing like either of those frags. Caden is nowhere near as sweet as those two. The vanilla in Caden is far less prominent and the opening is a lot of saffron and suede. I would compare this to a much harsher Cuir Béluga with less vanilla. Overall it’s ok but far more mature of a fragrance than Babycat or Side Effect. This is one I probably wouldn’t purchase again. Personally, I’d rather have Cuir Béluga. 6/10

This is the Arabian-style Babycat — it has a strong, bold leather profile that you often find in Arabian niche perfumes. It’s not like mass-appealing designer fragrances; it leans more intense and less universally easy to wear compared to a typical designer-style Babycat. The leather note in the opening reminds me leather note of Falcon Leather Extrait.

All I get is cyanide/ bitter almond/ cherry pit scent, very similar to much cheaper "Out at the Opera" from Philly&Phill. Hopefully it's just my skin that doesn't allow Caden to glow. Comparing to Royal Incense that shines with many facets and develops dramatically when I wear it, Caden is quite shy and linear.

Nothing wow to be honest. Typical Middle eastern saffron, leathery, spicy and ambery fragrance. Especially the opening is agressive : Saffron/burned tires smell. Maybe in the vein of Babycat I would say but less sweeter. Don't waste your money and believing the hype blindly. Try before buying please.

This scent lacks creativity. The first red flag was how white people were loosing their minds over this perfume. It's not a bad scent. But it's not a "wow" scent either. If you love this scent, good for you, don't let my opinion or taste affect yours. Continue loving what you love.

I was really excited to sample this. Unfortunately the saffron is way too heavy and overpowers everything else. Doesn’t work for me. The dry down is a little better, but I just can’t get past the saffron.

The strange thing is when I tried it, I liked it. I bought it after a while and found it to be very loud with sharp notes that might hurt those around you. I am looking for a way to get rid of i
