Wanderlust 2023 Edition

This has taken me *completely* by surprise. To be honest, it being Middle Eastern (I'm from there), I know that their forte is *not* freshies at all. In fact they are terrible at freshies. Now this, this is something completely different. This is my first from the house, and I blind bought it, as I do all my fragrances, and I wanted something different, and boy did I get something different. This does not smell Oriental, or Middle Eastern....at all. The only thing that has a common denominator with ME frags is it's monstrous, to me anyway. It smells like it has a tropical vibe to it, I smell coconuts, yet there is no coconut note or accord, or anything that resembles it, and yet it smells natural. Is it the way the green fig is coming across? I have no idea, I grew up around fresh figs but not the green types, just mature and I can detect the fig, and I can smell the most delicious of green tea, There is a hint of the green apple in there but only if I look for it, it is so well blended in there that all the green note are blended oh so well, but if you try to single them out, they are then discernible. Under the well blended green notes I sense something lactonic, and I know it sounds like it would clash with the green accord, but it does not; the green accords are cushioned by a big fluffy marshmallow bedded underneath them, and it all feels like it's at home, yet still smells very fresh. It's fresh, green and creamy so far, yet incredibly delicious but not anywhere in gourmand territory, but definitely green and lactonic. I feel the Cedar is blended in with the rest of the green notes sitting on something laconic, it could be the sandalwood that is giving off that delicious creamy feel, but no woodsy or spiciness at all. So now the creaminess or lactonic feel is indeed the Sandalwood base, meshed with the Musk, and a hint of Amber alongside the creaminess of the figs. I don’t feel as though the Cedar is in the base notes, but more like the blend of greens sitting on top along with the other greens. This all might sound like they clash something silly, but they do not, not one bit, it is so well blended and they all sit in harmony together of the green notes atop the creaminess of the other notes, I giuess the green notes do now have a tad of the woodiness in with them, and the woodsy notes seem like the bridge between the green notes above, and the creaminess of the base notes, and the woodsy notes seem to fall like a creamy waterfall into the laconic base. This is gorgeous. I am truly taken aback by this, was so not expecting this, if anything I was thinking of another Amouage nostril burning monster of a ME fragrance. Not that there is anything bad with Amouage, I'm just not a huge fan of theirs, I think growing up over there has given me some form of anti-bodies towards the nostril burning notes :D This is oh so nice, and I will be for sure trying some other frags from this house, an awesome blind buy, safe, and although to me comes across as fresh, it can be worn any time, any place by anyone, it's gorgeous. UPDATE: It's now in it's 11th hour since initially applying it, and it's still more than a skin scent, it has evolved into a very gorgeous creamy Amber with hints of Sandalwood and fig, and even now, it feels like the beautiful dying embers of a great bonfire that roared through the day. Rarely have I taken the time to write such a lengthy (sorry!) review, and even more so; rarely do I update it with the remnants of the skin scent, this is truly a gorgeous fragrance that I suggest you not only sample, but take the time to enjoy the life of the fragrance and ride it out till it ends. I thought that none of the fresher perfumes could catch my attention anymore, given that I’ve gone through hundreds of complex and rich masterpieces with deep, intricate notes. I gave up on fresh perfumes because, in the end, they all feel very similar, relying on the easy route of citruses, clean spices, and woods. But this... oh boy. What a creation. It makes me happy every time I wear it. I only wear regularly two "fresh" fragrances: this flawless perfume and Kenzo EDT Intense. I don’t know what it is, but it simply smells better than the other 50 perfumes I have in my GOD-TIER TOP combined. You simply can’t pick out a single bad note or say that it’s intrusive. At the same time, it lasts remarkably well for this type of DNA. Ultimately, if you’re looking for a sexy, versatile perfume that works for the office but is also a joy to wear, this is a perfect blind buy. Weddings, baptisms, divorces, communions—you can wear it for any occasion, and you’ll never go wrong. You can even wear it first thing in the morning, and while it’s not overwhelming, you’ll still notice it throughout the morning. Most importantly, you won’t smell generic. Wanderlust is first crispy, green and fresh. If I were to go for a run or do some other exercise early in the morning outside, I would want to wear this scent. This is so energising. The fruits here are not sweet nor juicy fruity, Apple and Blackcurrant are not detectable like in the way they used to be in many perfumes. Fig makes the texture a little bit milky and otherwise the scent is slightly aromatic. The base is woody and smooth. As the scent develops, the crunchy, crispy essence softens first thanks to the fig, and then the Musk starts to change the scent in a velvety direction while still maintaining a greenish feel. I am surprised to see that the fragrance is not so popular among women. I don't think there is anything that makes this masculine or feminine, the scent is truly unisex. The first time I tested Wanderlust, I didn't like it. It started with a strong citrus accord but quickly transitioned to a very green/grassy scent profile. But I just re-tested it and have a very different experience, for reasons unknown. Maybe it has something to with my tester sample? At any rate, it now is less green and holds that citrus much longer than it did on my first try, much to my relief. Its main note is a tart lemon-type citrus and picks up a bit of floralness along the way. For that reason, this fragrance leans more feminine, but it is probably unlikely to scratch heads were a guy to wear it. It smells very clean. Wanderlust's citrus is more tart than sweet, so it's less like, say, LV Imagination or Afternoon Swim and more like a linear grapefruit scent. I'm not super familiar with Omanluxury's offerings, but this seems to be a common trait among this house's fragrances. I have Wanderlust on one hand and Royal Incense on my other, and I can smell that similar citrus-incensy accord in both.

Utmost juicy-fig! It opens with a fruity sweetness and a juicy greenness. It's a crisp, fresh and leafy scent, as if you've taken plant stems and crushed them. Tea and bergamot notes are also very noticeable. A perfume that gives you freshness and happiness! The longevity is amazing; I can still smell it the next day. A juicy, fruity fig scent; both green and luscious with fruitiness... Edit: Now I have a full bottle! It doesn't resemble Philosykos which is creamier, more leafy green. It doesn't resemble Adam & Eve's Dress either; that one is much more woodsy. I love those too, and I own them. This one leans more towards the juicy and fruity side. Hints of bitter fig leaf, sweet berries, tartness, florals, and a TON of sandalwood as the base. Longevity is superb and same goes for the projection. It is quite loud like most middle eastern fragrances, but it is top notch quality like Amouage. This reminds me a lot of Meander, but fruitier and 1 notch less floral, but still floral nonetheless. The crazy thing is that I can pick out every single note separetely like having a great set of audiophile headphones/speakers with a wonderful soundstage and instrument separation. Very high fidelity. This I love. This does not resemble Fico Di Amalfi by any stretch! Avert your eyes from all the Fragrantica lies, get a sample and make your own assessment!

Such a treat to find the OmenLuxury discovery set at a discounter. I immediately found the Wanderlust vial upon opening the set box. I fell immediately in love with this fragrance. It’s been a while since I have had this strong of a reaction to a new fragrance. That last reaction was over Liquid Imaginaires Blanch Bete and Orto Parisi's Terroni. One would think I had a satchel of cocaine hanging from my Apple watch band because I keep raising my wrist repeatedly to take a long sniff. Its smooth, long-lasting trail feels like wearing a story that is mysterious, uplifting, and deeply satisfying.

Initial spray :- green, sweet, fruity, juicy. That's what I get, nothing's overpowering another. Just a smooth well balanced smell. In fact it reminds me a little like Diptyque l'ombre dans l'eau. But that one, the opening is sharp, grassy and floral. Wanderlust is smooth, leafy and fruity. Dry down :- sweet, fluffy, creamy, musky. As it dries down, the creaminess comes out, supporting the apple/blackcurrant/tea. As it dries down further, it will leave you with a very comforting creamy, musky sweetness. I find this perfume nice and signature worthy.

Tried this today from a decant All I can say about it is that it is more fruity than before. Still same vibe with the old one, but they made it with a more acceptable opening than before which was a harsh and strong opening. Dry down is almost the same as the old one but here they added fig, tea, and jasmine which I think is better than before. A well rounded fragrance and a unique scent Scent: 9.5/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 8/10 Worth a bottle %100

@FragranceYYC I have the same questions you have as well. I was able to obtain the "2023" version from a swap a while back. The Dark green gradient bottle is the only way to tell them apart as far as I know... As for smell they are supposedly different, the 2023 being the preferred version. If you're interested in the 2023 I have a nearly full bottle I'd be interested in swapping for the right item😉

This is addictive ,a refined fig-tea combo, reminds me of gris charnel , a bit more fruity , beautiful scent that at least for me suit every season , this is my second fragrance of the company and they yet to disappoint in the slightest , will bd looking for their new releases ( if you live in oman you are lucky as you can find them with some sweet discounts)

A wonderful smell I bought from a perfume shop in Dubai last week. The performance is much weaker than the ratings. I bought another bottle from the official website and we'll see. update I started to doubt. Voting on the site is not real, and I hope the Perfumes companies themselves don't manipulate it.

I got my bottle today. What a masterpiece! This one can be seen as a scent signature. Less greeny than the older version and slightly more sweety. It's a unisex one, but I feel like it suits men more. This is more figgy version than Murmure d'Ete Plume Impression, but a lot of similarity between them.

this is a Banger that i have just bought this is so good. Fresh Fig that you have just picked up form a fig farm in a cool rainy day this lasts so many long hours and grabs the attention so fresh, i love it 9.5/10 longevity 9.5/10 Projection 10/10 Uniqueness

In love with it, so much better than initial version. Unfortunately green shade bottles were limited to the first batch only. After that, new formulation went into regular glass. Can't lie I would totally love to have it in this juicy green shade.

This is Debaser on steroids. Opening is super powerful green. Disappointing drydown though, after couple of hours all I can smell is methyl pamplemousse (grapefruit molecule), which smells a little cheap and unfinished.

Comparing this to my favorite fig scent, Debaser, for baseline. This one is fruity and sweet in the opening, while the Debaser is more fresh, airy and green. The sweetness is sparkly, if that makes any sense, but travels a fine line from being cloying; it may end up being so if you overspray and definitely with humidity. The green facet hovers in the background while the sweet fruitiness plays the main part. No coconut in this one like the Debaser, which gives off a slight tropical vibe (but not so much), rather this one has some creaminess as it dries down and also gives off a tad of middle eastern feel (of course, it's from Oman). Very smooth. The sweetness is candy-like, reminds me of apple flavored Hi-Chew fruit chews, but not juvenile by any means. I'd say this is perfect for summer nights, and will definitely work for spring. Can't see anyone being offended by this and it can be a potential compliment puller. Personally, I wish the sweetness was toned down just a bit but, all in all, a very good one. Price wise, it is a chunk of change; couldn't find this one anywhere except on its parent website and took over a week to travel half way around the world from Oman to the States. Is it worth the price for a blind buy? Well... can't say yes right off the bat so I guess the answer is no. (as for majority of the blind buys) Like for now, but let's see how this does for spring and summer.

I bought this fragrance blind, which is something I rarely do, but I’m genuinely pleased with it. It’s a distinctive scent that’s incredibly easy to wear. Fruity fragrances often end up being either too synthetic, too sweet, or too feminine. This one, however, strikes an excellent balance between fruitiness, sweetness, and naturalness. Even someone like me, who generally dislikes sweet fragrances, can comfortably wear it—it stays right at the edge without becoming overwhelming. For summer, it’s an outstanding choice: it performs well, feels unique, and leaves a very pleasant impression on those around you. I can smell it on myself throughout the entire day, and it projects strongly for the first 3–4 hours. I don’t pick up much of the woody base. Instead, it reminds me of smelling a slightly sweet, not-yet-fully-ripe green fruit. After the first hour, it develops a more floral character, which makes it feel perfectly unisex. In my opinion, it offers a refined and luxurious scent profile that suits a well-dressed man beautifully, especially on summer evenings or cooler days. The fruity character remains present from start to finish, but unlike fragrances from the Kirke or Erba Pura family, it never feels artificial. For that reason, I think this is a fragrance that shouldn’t be overlooked.

The rich neighbourhood boy somehow ends up in the Amazon rainforest. You're running in the lush lands of South America, jumping over fallen branches, dodging banana leaves. You feel alive, so you scream in joy. Your smile reaches your ears. You run and run, somehow energised by this new experience. You hear the parrots and other birds you never bothered to learn the name of sing. You find the riverbank and take out a papaya which you aptly cut with your Victorinox knife. You take a look at your Cartier Santos, time to get back with the group - hotels won't sell themselves.

Only Scots or Kiwis will get this: Wanderlust smells exactly like Gorse flowers in bloom (plus a bit of green vegetal stuff). Way better replica of gorse flowers than Gorseland by Jorum Studio. Quite remarkable, given that gorse isn't listed in the notes. Probably was not intentional. I am assuming that the tester from a discovery kit I borrowed is the 2023 version of Wanderlust.

The projection and longevity is moderate. It's not a long lasting frags. Start with Fruity and citrus vibes together. It has some sharpness in the note. maybe it will be synthetic and ambroxan. Fig is not a creamy and sweet. It's closer to green and leaf vibes. Just soso, not a like summer frag.

Smells like a less greener more jammy Philosykos, without the creamy coconutty facet. It's nice, I prefer this to Philosykos, but still not sure if I want a full bottle.

Amazing smell just lacks performance imo

this is HEAVY I mean HEAVY HEAVY, imagine Fico di Amalfi on steroids, this is what you'll get and not necessarily in a good way. Edit: in my opinion Fico di Amalfi is a better scent, wanderlust is a good scent but it doesn't drive me crazy, smells too fruity for my liking, many people told me I smell like peaches when I had it on, don't blind buy this.

I thought I would like this based off the notes so I got a sample for myself but this isn’t for me. I get fig of course but not much of the other fruits, what I get dominating the entire scent profile is a very deep green grassy vegetal accord. Legitimately makes me think I’m walking in the produce aisle of a grocery store, especially if it’s right after the washed the veggies to put out. If it was fruitier or more citric I wouldn’t mind that in the background but for me it takes over the entire fragrance

I am surprised by these reviews and the praise for this fragrance. It smells like you have just done loads of gardening and then rolled around in the yard trimmings (not in a pleasant way). Washed it off my hand.

Alright ladies and gents. Let's get into this scent and this frag house. This smells great. Like fresh cur grass with hints of woods and fig and something supremely clean and fresh. The earthen fresh feel really lights up in heat and on skin. Lasts all day for sure. Now, I don't like to discuss prices to talk about scent quality and if a scent is worth it. The reason I don't is because there is not a scent out there where the prices will remain high or where you can't decant it and it have it for special occasions. For me, scent has to fit into 5 buckets and if it fits all 5 it's a 10. I prefer scents decidedly have lane, a season they work best in, occasions I can envision, outfits I imagine the wearer in etc. Then, I need my scents to not only smell good but have a component of uniqueness. Next, because I may be slightly vain, I need a scent to garnish a compliment or two when I need it to. I prefer a scent get me through 6 hours without having to reapply. Lastly, I prefer few people to rock the scent because after all, smelling like everyone else is BORING. All that being said, Wanderlust is a wonder people aren't customer after me! Lol I got compliments within 10 min of wearing it. It fit perfect with a pin striped gray and white collared shirt and fitted teal pant. Later that day, after work, I kept the scent on to take the pooches on a walk and was told that I smelled 'spensive and good. So, basically I'm saying all occasions, great longevity perfect for warm weather, rain or sun it'll get it done. The grassiness imo adds to freshness but this is where I highly recommend layering if you're into it. Alone this scent is a 9.0. Paired with Pacific Chill by LV I was able to boost the longevity of both while adding some effervescence. The compliments with the paired scent has been OFF THE RAILS!! I'll rock this scent the rest of the week!

Not even close to the original Wanderlust, but I like the newer version better. The older version was heavy on the green fig leaf, this one is mostly fruit up top and a fabric softener-like musk in the dry down, with a light green leafy note in between. The fruit isn’t a classic hyper realistic Philosykos style fig, but rather a vague fruitiness with a fig base. It almost reminiscent of certain fruity air fresheners or candles, but done in a much more sophisticated way. Overall, this is a really fun, playful fragrance that feels grown up.

Sweetness, fig, and tea are quite clearly noticeable. The fig serves both the green and sweet sides. Its bitter green leaf scent and its sweetness are serving to both ends. Another important characteristic of the perfume is its summer evocation. Somehow, you also feel a tropical vibe. You might imagine it as a slight touch of coconut. The perfume has a creamy sandalwood dominant finish. It’s captivating.💚💚

Can someone help me out. I'm trying to find the Wanderlust (2023) version. Was this only a limited release? How different is it from the original? And given online retailers never specify if what they have in stock is 2023 or not, how do we ensure we order this one? (Assuming they're different scents).

This is a nice combination of the black currant fruit and the whole bush with a fig tree and its fruit. On my skin I smell mostly green accords of a fig tree. Nice but very short lasting on the skin. There are much better fragrances with blackcurrant and/or fig on the market. This is just ok.

I don't know what happened to this perfume. I've smelled it at Harrods, I liked it, and now it has completely disappeared. It's not even available on their official website! It must be a limited edition. Shame! 😞

Is there anyplace selling this domestically? I can seem to find where to purchase a bottle of the new version.
