This fragrance is GLORIOUS. It’s a 60’s dry green fragrance carrying yard roses. And even better, you will never smell this kind of wit, creativity, layers, quality ingredients in New! [Bored Celebrity Moneygrab] Nuit/Elixir/Intense. This is an artwork, made with focus and love. It opens in a classic dry green 60’s aura - think 19/Or Noir/Silence. Then an almost shockingly photorealistic yard rose begins settling lightly down, but there’s a grapefruit sweet/tart ambiguity. After a while, seemingly from nowhere, a very soft, warm, resin begins shifting the green over a little. None of these notes completely go. They shift all day - one dominant, then another, a combination. It isn’t weak but neither does Freedom fill a room. 1/6 of the way through a 30ml I got two backups because, this fragrance! It is a joy to wear. I - who rarely finish a bottle - have burned though one bottle and gotten two more backups. I was not surprised by the complexity or the rare quality of this scent - it is of a piece with everything I’ve smelled from One Seed. If what you like are the very mass-market Celebrity scents, the body sprays living in drugstores and BathBeyondBody etc franchises, well, there are nice scents of a certain type there. This isn’t that type. One of the few cross-overs from Celebuscents to this kind of imagination and care is Rihanna’s Fenty, and her Rogue suggested she was crossing over soon. This kind of Scent exists in long conversations between creators of scents, with excited contributions by the artists making accords, finding new notes or rediscovering forgotten ones. They aren’t simple. They aren’t linear. They aren’t made to not offend anyone while pleasing everyone. I adore One Seed’s ‘Freedom.’

I decided to pick this up blind at Marshall's for $14. Yikes! I've never smelled a perfume that was this weird. It just doesn't smell like something you're supposed to put on your body. It smells like cheap rose and lemongrass toilet spray or something. Maybe even a sharp herbal tea? I'm honestly not sure who would enjoy this. I'm someone who can dislike fragrances but still appreciate them but I really just don't get this at all to be honest. Definitely DON'T blind buy.
